I know I have said this before. If one can't be positive at the start of training camp I think it will only go down hill as the season goes on. But I don't understand why this team has not gotten a true LT no matter the quality just as a camp body. They have a bunch at almost every position but not one LT that has played a game or even taken a snap in the reg. season at the position. What am I missing? OK you'r going to wait till camp cuts and then pay more for those who get cut, They should of signed someone long ago. Before they signed Butt, Hardy etc.

Good morning. I’m not capable of sharing anything new but my own perspective. We’ve had two games back to back against the elite teams of the league. While we were missing some vital players yesterday I don’t think the presence of Quinn and Hicks would have significantly altered the results. So the baseline has been established and looking at it I find our team lacking significantly. Since Ryan Pace arrived the Bears have been 39-48. Can anyone tell me that they feel the foundation of this team has been established(O and D lines)? I submit that this team has been average to mediocre since his arrival and there has been no ascension- I think 2018 was an outlier. Without a …

Kellen Davis shows it all in this one. Route running, hands, agility, strength, elusiveness, speed. All he needs is more opportunities to catch the ball and show what he can do. In this highlight reel, he displays his talents even more. Pay careful attention to nasty one-hander at about 2:51. The Bears don't need another TE. They need to work with what they have and develop the obvious talent.

https://twitter.com/#!/caplannfl/status...489335177748480 Emery is currently with KC, so maybe that would give us the inside track on someone like Dwayne Bowe?

Not a bad option, IMO. However, I'd rather sign Bowe or Jackson, or trade for Marshall before I signed Johnson. Supposedly, he wants anywhere from $7-8m, which is a lot for a guy like him. I don't think he's playing with a full deck, and he is very inconsistent. (yes, I know Marshall is psycho and has inconsistent hands as well, but he has proved to be dominant with Cutler)

If I was the GM I would go after V.Jackson or D. Bowe then draft either one of these three in the first or second Randle (6-4, 210), Floyd (6-3, 225) and Jeffery (6-4, 230), then focus on the line and secondary. Well Forte will get paid first and then TE Davis I would keep. That will give the Bears a real height advantage for Jay in the red zone

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/category/rumor-mill Report: Finnegan “recruiting” Vincent Jackson for possible package deal Posted by Evan Silva on March 8, 2012, 5:38 PM EST Getty ImagesJason Cole of Yahoo! Sports reports that free agent cornerback Cortland Finnegan is actively “recruiting” free agent wideout Vincent Jackson to join Finnegan on his next NFL team. Cole suspects that team is the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Finnegan has reportedly been text messaging back and forth with Jackson. The Bucs certainly have the salary cap space to land both players, and Finnegan and Jackson play positions of need in Tampa. Bucs incumbent No. 1 receiver Mike …

Regardless of what we feel about the 3 picks there is one intangible to add to this mix and that is the Marshal trade. 1st Rd DE/OLB Not necessarily a scheme fit but this kid may force the Bears to diversify their scheme more. 2nd Rd WR Emery seems to like big physical WRs and gets himself one here and gives Cutler another weapon for his 29th B-day. 3rd Rd WR/SS Jay gets an engagement gift and Lovie gets his annual safety. The trade has to be included in this round of the draft since this was the result of the first 3rd rd pick via Carolina for Greg Olsen. BTW unless Idonije is going back to DT(I wouldn't be surprised by that) McClellin is not a 4 dow…

Every time I read one of Larry Mayer's pieces on the officials site I get irritated. If there were ever a bigger brown nose I've yet to see it. This guy thinks everything is great all the time, thinks there are no holes on the team, and whenever possible chooses his words in such a way as to give the staff and management a way to weasel out. So, it got me to thinking about other Chicago journalists, and I know a lot of people don't like Mariotti, but which one do you hate reading?

Glad to see that Emery is continuing his predecessor's habit of signing draft picks early. It's reported on the Official Chicago Bears page on facebook: "The Bears have agreed to terms on a 4-year contract with 1st round pick Shea McClellin. Hit 'LIKE' if you're happy that Shea is officially a Bear!"

1. Cutler was great. Aside from his pick-6 and first 10 throws, he finished 20-25 with 320 yards and 2 TD's. 2. Maybe I'm over-reacting but I think Alshon Jeffery will get to 1,000 yards this year. 3. Marshall is a beast. Bennett is a nice compliment to everything the offense has. 4. Putting the first few plays to the side, the OL wasn't too bad. Freeney going out helped too, I'm sure. Spencer is clearly the worst OL they have, however. Maybe it's already time to give Williams a try there? 5. Tim Jennings was awesome today. Peppers and Melton were forces. Briggs was fun to watch.

Hey if the 49ers can do it so can we. We will need to run the ball outside the tackles as this seems to be a weakness in the Packers defense. Also throwing the ball to our WR'S Marahsll and Jeffrey will beat the Pack secondary as they cant match up. Moss was not used the correct way by San Fran, but if he was they would have had more points because the Packers were scared of him.Blocking is a must...they Packers front line is a bit slow but the LB'S are fast so if we get the first level blocked and on to the second level then we got something going on the edge. The Packers can be beaten by the Bears this year!!

https://twitter.com/PFF/status/448821405379870720 In all fairness to reporting news both good and bad... I thnk there is some reason for concern. But, we all know the inherent risk in an aging star. We also know how bad Minny was last year. My guess...the truth is in the middle. He's getting old and won't put up numbers as he did in the past...but it will be better than 2013 and much better than what we did in 2013. Change of scenery has been known to uplift many a player. Consider my glass full with a tiny tasting sip taken.
