I decided to start a thread where we can discuss everyone's fantasy about what Kevin White brings to the Bears offense. The reason why I used the word fantasy is because he is being projected into a role that he has yet to to actually perform in. Projection, prediction and fantasy are all similar terms when it comes to sports(imo). When the Bears picked White I was extremely happy as much as I was when Jeffrey was drafted in the second round. WTBS Jeffrey struggled in his first season with injury and conditioning and White played 1 year at division 1 before getting drafted by the Bears and the scouting reports say he was only asked to run a couple of routes. Hopefully…

Decided to really focus on him tonight and I'm not overly impressed. Doesn't run hard all the time and seems to be coming out on 3rd down, which I don't get if he's a top pick.

Draft Site 1. Deforest Buckner, DE, Oregon 2. Shilique Calhoun, DE, Mich. St. 3. William Jackson, CB, Houston 4. Cardale Jones, QB, Ohio St. 5. Nelson Spruce, WR, Colorado 6. Brandon Shell, OT, S. Carolina 6. Jonathan Jones, CB, Auburn 6. Tajae Sharpe, WR, Mass. 7. Matt Judon, OLB, Grand Valley St. Talk about a draft I hate. No ILB help? Doubling-up on DE? A QB I despise? This is close to as bad as it could be in my eyes. Given the layout of when players are picked, this is possible: 1. Reggie Ragland, ILB, Alabama (He had a mediocre championship game, but stats don't lie) 2. Shilique Calhoun, DE, Mich. St. (I'm fine with one) 3. S…

BPA this year could become a reality. Some have floated QB and RB, but I honestly think it might mean the Bears go searching for their Von Miller prototype. Von Miller - 6'3", 254#, 4.53 forty, 33.5 arms, 37" vert., 10.6" broad, 6.7 3-cone Prospect A - 6'3", 270#, 4.70 forty, 32.75arms, 33" vert., 12" broad, 7.16 3-cone Prospect B - 6'5", 250#, 4.82 forty, ?? arms, 32" vert., 9.7" broad, 6.97 3-cone Prospect C - 6'5", 275#, 4.86 forty, 34 arms, 30.5" vert., 9.2" broad, 7.18 3-cone Prospect D - 6'6", 244#, 4.60 forty, 33.2 arms, 39.5" vert., 10.58" broad, ??? So who jumps off the page? The only thing that made my eyes pop were the 12" broad jump from …

I have seen several draft trade scenarios and was going to give a post to list them. Everybody has viewed the trade for Wilkinson option. (which we wont be bringing in a 15 mil player) (not Paces style) Here is one I seen on ESPN; 5. Jaguars trade 1-5, Luke Joeckel to Bears for 1-11, 2-41, 4-104. The Bears are another team that could at least theoretically have an interest in trading up for Tunsil, given that their left tackle is currently 2014 seventh-rounder Charles Leno, but this is a deal where the Bears get to trade up and come away with a veteran left tackle, too. Joeckel has failed to develop in Jacksonville, but he was worth the No. 2 pick three ye…

FULL DISCLOSURE - I wrote this early this morning while still very angry and as a very over-reactionary vision...but I might not be wrong. ******************************************************************************** ********************************** If I were McCaskey, I'd do the following, in no particular order: 1. Have Fox fire Loggains today. Either find a guy on the street like Greg Roman, or promote from within. 2. Put Pace on notice. You have one more year. You better draft an immediate impact player or franchise QB in round 1. 3. Fire Fox at the end of the season and hire Dave Toub. Toub is innovative. He has roots. And our ST hav…

I think the Bears take it or lose close. Picked up Hoyer and Miller and starting them Jeffery this week.

Meh. Let's hope the Bears have a great defensive showing (so far so good), and barely lose.

It's been well documented that we made three 4th round picks without choosing Dak. My question is this: if we would have chosen him, how would the world see him now?

From the Tribune: Silver lining: Saturday's loss at least temporary pushed the 3-12 Bears up to No. 3 in the draft order for April. Because of strength-of-schedule tiebreakers, the Bears will pick behind the 49ers (2-11) and Browns (1-13). With one week left in the season, the Bears can't move any higher on the draft board. With a win next week over the Vikings, they could drop as low as No. 6 depending on what the Jaguars, Jets and Rams do and how their respective schedule strengths sort out. Peace

Everyone seems to at least think a trade down would work well for the Bears. Most think the QB class is weak, and most think the guys we really want/need are better suited later than the third pick. So, is there any team that would be willing to move up to the #3 pick and not mortgage their entire future? Is there a team that has the picks/players to pull it off? Here's my best shot: CLE - Myles Garrett, DE, Texas A&M SF - QB CHI - SF didn't take the QB they want, and CLE calls the Bears to make a big move for what they think is a franchise QB, while keeping one of their second rounders. CHI trades their #3 pick (2200) for CLE's #10 pick (1300), #33…

The more and more mocks I do, the more I believe the value in the draft is in the second and third rounds. I think the talent really falls after the 3rd round overall. There may be some winners here and there, but the 2nd round will be loaded, and the 3rd will still be pretty nice. Would you be willing to wheel and deal a ton to get multiple second and/or third rounders but end up with less picks in total? Bears' picks: 1.3 = 2200 2.36 = 540 3.67 = 255 4.100 = 100 4.106 = 82 5.131 = 41 7.195 = 13.4 -Bears trade down with NYJ to #6 (1600) who absolutely have to get a QB. Bears acquire the NYJ 2nd rounder 2.39 (510) and a 7th rounder 7.196 (13). …

The more I gain information on this draft the more I see there being a run on QBs early. With that said, if SF does not take a QB at 2, I totally see Cleveland moving up to 3 to grab Trubisky So here is the scenario: Cleveland gives us the 12th pick, #33-#67 and a fifth rounder-175 for our third spot. At 12 these players should be in play Ryan Ramczyk/OT O.J. Howard/TE Jabrill Peppers/SS Cam Robinson/OT …

Since we do not know Paces evaluation of the current roster, where do we go with the pick considering the talent on the team at this time. At QB- Glennon starts and could be the long range answer but no one has the answer to that question right now. I think him and Sanchez being added guarantees we dont go there in the first. At WR- Will Ashton gone now, it leaves us banking on White as being the player we drafted but still a big question mark. With adding Wright and Wheaton, I see us not going with a WR in the first. At TE- we added a blocking TE with catching upside, Miller will get less playing time and should help him stay healthier. I think they like B…

Since the Bears moved up and invested everything for the Trubisky pick, that signals to me a few things: 1. Pace is staking his job on this pick. 2. Trubisky will be given every possible chance to win the job. 3. Trubisky absolutely will be starting next year, regardless of how well Glennon does. 4. The Bears are embracing the new era approach to the passing game. With all of that said, I don't care who is there with the second pick. If Cam Robinson is available, that's a slam dunk. He was widely considered the #1 OT in the draft just a month or so ago, and there was talk of him going top 15. If he's there in round two, that's incredible value. Remember, Pa…

PFF came out with there projects of OLines and have us ranked 5th. PFF is just one of many ways to look at NFL players but if we just do the eye test, we have a top10 Oline. This helps our offense become more consistent. Howard will be one of the top 5 RBs in the league this year. The short passing game will be stellar with many TE prospects, Cohen out of the backfield, and Wright or Cruz out of the slot. Glennon is a accurate passer when given time making our down field threats viable. Wheaton, White, and Meridith. All …

Clips of Glennon's turnovers are showing up and after watching things he was even worse than I first thought. First thought was that he's terrible. https://www.windycitygridiron.com/2017/9/19...nfl-week-2-2017 https://duckduckgo.com/?q=glennon+sack+fumb...iai=DgX8pE9pzKM I've seen blame on the Oline for the sack fumble but in reality he has a hot read in Wright wide open. When they bring 6 you should throw into the coverage gap behind the blitz. People talked about Massie giving up edge pressure but Noah Spence ran 10 yards upfield to get around Massie. On the INT when throwing to Bellamy after the game Glennon said Bellamy had turned his …
