  1. Thought it was interesting to see where the books have the draft odds starting with the highest names tied to the Bears and than on down. NFL Draft position Over/Unders: Mason Graham (5.5) Will Campbell (5.5) Armand Membou (6.5) Sanders (8.5) Jalon Walker (8.5) Ashton Jeanty (9.5) Tyler Warren (9.5) Will Johnson (11.5) Mikel Williams (15.5) JihadCampbell (15.5) Tetairoa McMillan (17.5) Matthew Golden (17.5) Mike Green (17.5) Jayden Barron (18.5) Banks Jr. (18.5) Colston Loveland (19.5) Omarion Hampton (19.5) Jaxson Dart (24.5) Emeka Egbuka (29.5)

  2. New pictures of Dexter show a slimmer player, closer to 280ish than last years 312. I wonder if Allen is going to switch him to DE, and that increases our need for a DT in the draft. Interesting.

  4. I keep trying to figure out what kind of strategy we are likely to see with this upcoming draft from the Bears, but I'm stuck because I have no idea how the new coaches and Poles see some of the current players. In my mind, I think it's mostly their evaluation of these five players that will be most crucial: -Kiran Amegadjie - He was obviously drafted to be the future LT. He was rushed into service last year when they had no intention of getting him in a game last year, even before he was hurt in the preseason and missed valuable experience, and as a result had some very bad reps but also had plenty of good ones. He probably has some flexibility as a swing tackle …

Disclaimer: this is not about what is best long term... We talked a lot about blue chip players in the past. We currently have around 10. Looking at this draft, there aren't as many "can't miss" prospects at ten, as in the past. Looking at our 10 pick with the lens of who makes us better faster isn't usually best in the long run. Who is your guy in this draft that's an instant upgrade as a starter? Take into account learning curve per position. Please don't use someone that won't be available. Gimme your guy and why...

Anytime, football season, I'm working or doing anything around the house I listen to the score. In Rockford it comes in much better than ESPN. I've listened from the beginning of their existence and liked some DJs and disliked a few . Bernstein is a smart guy but would always talk down to people, think he's smarter than everyone else and was an a**hole a lot. I am happy he's gone. I used to be on his Twitter account and would call him out when he was a jerk. He finally blocked me. He always wanted to interject politics into his sports world. For me, I always used sports for my escape from normal reality. If you live woke, you die woke. It happened to him.

It is interesting looking at the mock drafts this year as the Bears have no real consensus player pick like in previous years. However, OL is selected in over 50% of the picks. OL, Edge, and RB are the 3 highest position groups. About 56% is OL, 19% Edge, 18% RB, and DT at 7%. Will Campbell - 24.5% Kelvin Banks - 21.5% Ashton Jeanty - 11.3% Others - 42.7% Mykel Williams Omarion Hampton Josh Simmons James Pearce Jr So it seems that at #10, the Bears will more than likely pick an OL, Edge, or RB.

  8. Rondale Moore and Mecole Hardman visited the Bears today. I really would love a short term deal for Moore. 24 with tons of speed - coming off injury and I think in right role could thrive as a slot / take the top off guy with some gadget and special teams thrown together. Both players are speed guys. Moore was like 4.33 coming out - injuries have been a big issue with him and he missed all of last year.

  9. So the Bears have 6 2025 starters that are in the last year of their contracts. Additionally, I believe there are two players under contract for 2026 that will be likely cap casualties. That makes 8 holes for 2026. You can't fix everything in FA, and in one draft, so knowing Poles, he is looking at this now. First are the cut candidates, I think Swift and Edmunds will be gone, that would save $22.5M against the cap for 2026 with limited dead cap. RB - Swift - cut candidate, $7.5M cap savings, $1.3M Dead LB - Edmunds - cut candidate, $15M cap savings, $2.4M Dead The other 6 are listed here: DB - Gordon? DT - Billings? LB - Edwards? OT - Jones? S …

So I keep looking at everything I can regarding draft options at #10 and I’m having a hard time. Let me know where I’m wrong: -At Edge, you have guys with horrible sack production like Mykal Williams (who just ran a 4.8 40 at his pro day - no thanks) and Shemar Sanders (4.5 sacks total in 3 years), then guys with decent production who seem too light for 4-3 end like Mike Green and Jalon Walker (who’s probably a LB anyway). DT - Mason Graham maybe if he’s there but he probably won’t be and I don’t think Grant/Harmon/Nolen are worth the pick at #10. RB - Jeanty is maybe a consideration but I just have a hard time seeing it when the Bears have two 2nd rou…

After watching Texas and Ohio State, Kelvin Banks is not worthy of a top 20 pick. JT and Jack Sawyer has taken him to school The whole DL of Ohio State moved up the draft ladder. Jake Wilson/ OC has held his own against a awesome DL.

I know they picked the Bears last year because of Caleb's rookie year, but this year would've been so much better to see Johnson at work with his new staff and the revamped roster.

How do you quantify how much of an upgrade the new acquisitions on the OLine will be? Well, I looked at a few stats and this one stood out: Sack Rate (Last 2 seasons) Thuney - Sack Rate 0.16% 4 allowed in 2500 snaps Dalman - Sack Rate 0.27% 4 allowed in 1486 snaps Jackson - Sack Rate 0.17% 2 allowed in 1148 snaps These 3 players allowed only 10 Sacks allowed in 5,134 snaps, a 0.19% sack rate. The 3 players they are replacing and what they did in 2024: Jenkins 4 / 495 Pryor 7 / 659 Shelton 3 / 743 These 3 players allowed 14 Sacks in 1,897 snaps, a 0.73% sack rate, close to 4x more sacks over the same amount of snaps. Caleb was sacked 68 times las…

Apparently the Bears scheduled a meeting with Ashton Jeanty right out of the gate. Some may read this to mean that we are very interested in drafting him, and we probably are. Doesn't mean we would pick him over other players we'd also be interested in drafting at that spot. But I also take it to mean that it increases the idea of someone trading up to get him if he is on the board when our pick comes, seeing that we have interest.

2 hours until we should start getting alerts from the usual suspects on social media. Last year Swift's deal was announced exactly at 11am. So I assume the Bears first deal will come in that initial madness. With 2x larger deals handed out to Thuney and Jackson already, they may go for a lesser Center upgrade than Dalman. From a money allocation standpoint, I think they may go Edge and DT with the last "bigger" deal. Then address the other positions of need in the 2nd wave.
