So we have hired a new DL coach. Hes apparently had success with DLs everywhere hes gone. He teaches an attacking style, and was Jacksonville's DL coach last year, where he coached Travon Walker to a career high 10.5 sacks. Jacksonville's DC Ryan Neilson, was Dennis Allen's DL coach at New Orleans. I like pairing him with 69 year old Bill Johnson who is a defensive assistant, and was also a DL coach under Dennis Allen in New Orleans.

Breaking news from my guys with inside sources, saying Johnson is the guy, and the decision is made. If you see it in mainstream press in the next hour, then that's a pretty good sign my guys do in fact have their sources But yeah, it's real.

Some people think that Kingsbury has did a better job with a rookie QB than Johnson with Goff. Pluses: former HC Has developed QBs Has a relationship with Caleb Did have some success but failed after Murray got hurt. He may be looked at as a viable candidate for a HC job.

After watching two weeks of the playoffs, for how bad the Bears played this season, they played way too many of these teams close enough that with small changes, the outcomes could've been much different. Just like 2023, the Bears were a better team than their record. We now know a lot of this was on Flus and the coaching staff. The Bears had 5 games decided by a FG or less, two others by 6 or less, and then the NE game where they didn't even show up. That is 8 games. If they just won half of those, that is a 9-win team. So far it feels a little watered down compared to recent years. 3 games decided by 2 TDs or more. WAS seems to be blessed with the best luck. Down by 4, TB fumbles on their own 13 yard line, 4 plays later, WAS scores a TD and never trails again. They won by 3, so that play was the deciding factor and at least a 7 pt swing if not more.
