I would surely take a look at the ones listed below becuase they can fill a need for us. Chris Greenwood, CB Albion The 6' 1 1/2" 193lbs CB prospect from Albion impressed scouts at his Pro Day with his amazing athleticism. He ran his forty yard dash timed at 4.34s. He continued his athletic display by posting an 11'2" broad jump and an amazing 43" vertical jump. He impressed every scout there but reported really drew the eyes of the Steelers scouts that were present. Korey Toomer OLB Idaho- Measuring 6'2" 236lbs Toomer put in an great performance for the scouts in attendance. He ran his forty yard dash in 4.49s, completed 20 reps at 225lbs in the bench. H…

  9. http://www.suntimes.com/sports/football/be...sman-19.article 6 reasons why the Bears' franchise is inept November 19, 2009 Even if Rex Grossman's dad is wrong, does that make the Bears right? Whether or not the Bears failed Rex Grossman or Rex Grossman failed the Bears, the point is still the same: the Bears haven't had a "franchise" quarterback since Sid Luckman. In fact, the Bears haven't even had an offense that ranks higher than 15th in the NFL in Jerry Angelo's nine seasons as general manager. They've been 26th or lower in seven of his first eight full seasons. Sorry, but that's a far bigger problem than Dan Grossman. The Tribune rushed to the B…

So here we are. 6-6 with 4 games to play. Not where we wanted to be, but I also didn't think GB and MIN would both be 8-3 at this time. That puts us a little further back than expected. If we could've eeked out that win against LAC or OAK, we would be sitting in a completely different spot right now. So to make the playoffs, our target is MIN, since we have the tie-breaker against them. All we have to do is beat them in Week 17 and end up with the same record as them. That means we can go into Week 17 one game back. That also means we need some help and for the Vikings to lose two more games than us in the next 5 games (for MIN). This week MIN gets to play in SEA. T…

Think it will be a cornerback. Still a need. I could really see us trading it for a late #6 and a #7.

Draft Site 1. Deforest Buckner, DE, Oregon 2. Shilique Calhoun, DE, Mich. St. 3. William Jackson, CB, Houston 4. Cardale Jones, QB, Ohio St. 5. Nelson Spruce, WR, Colorado 6. Brandon Shell, OT, S. Carolina 6. Jonathan Jones, CB, Auburn 6. Tajae Sharpe, WR, Mass. 7. Matt Judon, OLB, Grand Valley St. Talk about a draft I hate. No ILB help? Doubling-up on DE? A QB I despise? This is close to as bad as it could be in my eyes. Given the layout of when players are picked, this is possible: 1. Reggie Ragland, ILB, Alabama (He had a mediocre championship game, but stats don't lie) 2. Shilique Calhoun, DE, Mich. St. (I'm fine with one) 3. S…

http://www.chicagobears.com/news/NewsStory.asp?story_id=4766 LAKE FOREST, Ill. – When the Bears resumed OTA workouts Wednesday at Halas Hall, Terrence Metcalf lined up with the No. 1 offense at left guard as he has done throughout the offseason. The seventh-year pro is penciled in as the starter, but he knows that he must perform better than he did last season when he was benched after taking over for the injured Ruben Brown. Terrence Metcalf has played in 78 games with 25 starts in six years with the Bears. “It’s a huge opportunity,” Metcalf said. “I feel like it’s time for me to step out and pla…
