What do you guys think of the whole Jay Cutler nightlife fiasco that the media is currently playing out. I think the Chicago media (especially the papers) have no clue anymore. This is probably one of the biggest weeks were you can generate interest in your product by building up a buzz about the draft and prospects, but they failed to do so and instead make it out that it is "evil" to go out on your time and have a good time. No wonder they are losing out and eventually going to have to fold. It cracked me up listening to the score tonight and some "nerd" called in and compared Cutler to a CEO of a company and that it was not proper for them to hit the club and have…

I really love this guy. Hope we have a shot It seems to me that he has absolutely no comprehension of the word "Can't" and refuses to fail at anything Also, I think we can re-establish a little bit of the respectability we have lost over the past few seasons with idiots like Cedric Benson, Tank Johnson, Ricky Manning Jr (Denny's Bandit), and mostly just the overall feeling of loosing and mediocrity http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=880DxfiJU88&feature=fvsr http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OHOlDZO1ksQ (late second to fourth round range)

from the trib Hester story Defensive tackle Dusty Dvoracek (bruised hand) didn't practice and Harris (knee) was limited Friday. Anthony Adams and Israel Idonije received the first-team reps as the interior linemen. Linebacker Jamar Williams is nursing a tender ankle. … Kyle Orton started the day running the first-team offense, although Rex Grossman got a lot of work too. Man I getting tired of DD and JW on the sidelines, If harrison pans out I see DD going bye bye,

If BearFansUnited.org are successful what would you do? The family does not have the money to eat the contracts of Lovie and JA AND hire a big name (Shanahan or ???) to take charge. I personally do not fault JA for our problems. He brought in Cutler. He signed Pace who we all felt would be a great improvement over St Clair (little did we know). He brought in several other OLmen trying to beef up the OL. Was he successful, no, but he did make an attempt to fix a problem and I am sure he will address it again this off season. He tried to go after a #1 WR in Boldin. He has done a good job of finding players for our coaching staff to work with. The pr…

So the Bears are the biggest players in free agency, for sure, but they aren't the only ones. The Lions are making some aggressive moves of their own: so far, they've inked Nate Burleson from the Seahawks and Kyle Vanden Bosch from the Titans, plus they traded to get Corey Williams from the Browns. None of those are blockbuster moves like the Peppers signing, but they're all pretty smart, I think. Burleson isn't a great #1 receiver, but as a #2 paired with Calvin Johnson, he's miles better than Bryant Johnson or anybody else on Detroit's roster. I think he could be a credible complementary receiver, which they haven't had in a while. As for KVB and Williams, I …

Loved watching Berrain play with a qb that sucks more then our 1st and 2nd string qbs. What was he thinking going to a team that has one of the best running games in the NFL and one of the worst throwing qb in the NFL. He is going to have a long year. I pray that we beat the shit out of the Vikings... Oh wait we play Mushin this week, lets beat is face into the ground first.

Lions favored by 6, the 4th biggest spread of the week. For how bad the Bears looked, the Lions looked worse in Week 1. For EPA/P for the offense and defense, after Week 1: Bears 23rd and 6th Lions 22nd and 26th The Lions defense was bad and lucky they didn't give up 40. The Bears were unlucky and gave up 27. I don't think the Bears defense allows that much again. I also think the offense musters at least another TD (to replace the defensive one from Week 1) but I don't trust Santos at all. So I am going with 24-20 Bears. One of these teams is going home 0-2 on Sunday, both overall, and in the Division. Hopefully the team rises up for Ben as he got…

From last night: St. Clair over Metcalf - although I would rather see Beekman or Oakley play, thankfully they have benched Metcalf. Gilmore inactivated, Nick Roach on ST - He played all 4 phases of special teams. I think this means Gilmore is gone. Kennedy and Toeaini - Yeah, Walker is hurt but hopefully they realize he is not worth the investment and keep these 2 in the rotation. Still waiting to see Hass but at least they are bringing in some fresh bodies. Peace

REPORT: WARNER LOOKING FOR $9M PER YEAR Posted by Sheil Kapadia on February 1, 2009, 3:27 p.m. With Kurt Warner a little more than three hours away from starting his third Super Bowl, details about what he could be looking for in free agency continue to emerge. According to NFL Network’s Adam Schefter, Warner wants a two-year deal worth about $9 million per year. ESPN’s Chris Mortensen also reported today that Warner wants two years. Of course, as Aaron Wilson pointed out earlier, Warner hasn’t even decided whether he wants to play anywhere next season. Meanwhile, rumors that Warner’s offensive coordinator Todd Haley is heading to Kansas City cont…

1. Justin Blackmon*, Oklahoma State WR (6-1, 215): The most explosive receiver in college football has a game that is eerily similar to Terrell Owens'. His combination of size, strength and athleticism overwhelms defenders, and his penchant for playmaking makes him a potential anchor for a sophisticated passing game. Throw in the fact that Oklahoma State's coaches frequently have suggested Blackmon's skills are more advanced than Dez Bryant's at a similar stage, it's easy to place Blackmon at the top of the list. 2. Michael Floyd, Notre Dame, WR (6-3, 224): Floyd might rank as the best pass catcher in college football since Larry Fitzgerald. He displays unbelievable …

Good to see Roberto back in time to play against his former team. Although DLP has done well. But what I'm really intrigued by is the possible starting of Christian Jones. I look forward to seeing how he does in a full game. He looked a little raw last week in spot work but something tells me he could be another gem in the making. http://www.chicagobears.com/news/article-1...b4-2bc193050e61

As per PFT. I'm still pissed we didn't go after a difference maker. That being said, I know we'll use a chunk on Forte, and I have this dream scenario where we want to put the franchise tag on Roy Williams, Okoye, and Gholston, but we can decide who to choose. Is there anybody else we need to pay anytime soon? That being said, here's what PFT says: "The teams with cap space, a day before all teams must be in compliance, are as follows: Buccaneers ($ 29,560,000); Chiefs ($ 28,431,000); Jaguars ($ 28,000,000); Browns ($ 27,620,000); Bengals ($ 27,164,000); Broncos ($26,542,000); Bills ($ 23,460,000); 49ers ($ 22,570,000); Bears ($ 19,300,000); Seahawks ($ 16,3…

There are rumors Washington may be looking to move Haskins after demoting him to third string last week. He’s on a rookie contract for one more year(?). Any thought of seeing how he might fit into the Bears offense? Would Washington be willing to do a straight up trade for Trubisky? He had a 13-1 record in college while playing for Ohio State and finished third in the Heisman voting in 2018. I linked his Wikipedia page as it gives a bit more depth to his background. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dwayne_Haskins

I didn't notice this when it happened but they were talking about it on the SCORE. I went back and watched it and Knox appears to be dropping/spiking the football simultaneously as he's crossing the goal line. There was no official close and the next closest player was a Bear. So it probably wouldn't have mattered, but still . . .

It seems Carolina's quandry will come to a head on Feb 19th, when they will have to decide what to do about the Gross/Peppers problem if Peppers continues to demand to be traded and Gross does not sign a long term deal. I would love to have Gross added to our roster. Peppers is wanting to go to a 3-4 defense so that would be out of our area. Article about Carolina's FA decisions with Peppers & Gross
