I am not saying I like this draft for the Bears. I do find it interesting as it is a recent 7 round draft with selections for the Bears that do not seem rubber stamped from the numerous mock drafts that have been posted. I would love to see the Bears enter a draft with extra picks stockpiled. It seems every year we enter the draft with less picks than rounds. So the thought of giving up a future draft pick to obtain a promising prospect is questionable in my mind. Especially when the prospect has a few question marks, however small they are. It appears that Isaiah Battle is a highly regarded OT prospect, one who could possibly anchor an OL on the left side for a long time. So would you roll the dice on him? Tillman, Alex Brown, Hester, Vasher, etc, AKA a non-first round steal for us. I'm going to say Harrison. He's an absolute monster when he's not an off the field nuisance. He is a big man and with Tommie drawing double teams, he could have a 3-5 sack year. Not to mention, when we took him, he was the best defensive player on the board. If not for his off the field problems, he would have been a mid-2nd round pick.

Being and LSU fan I have watched Daniels the last 2 years and he has made huge strides in his abilities. He appears to be ahead of Williams is about every stat. I never watched Williams play, so not looking at stats, why does everyone say he is so much better? Been waiting for some talk show guys to explain the difference but none have ever done it.

So was reading on Rotoworld where depending on how well Freeman does in Minnesota, Ponder could very well be released next year. And they pointed out chances are he would not compete for a starting spot. So I ask.. Could he be a fit? The Jets are the only other unanimous pick to win. That means every other underdog received one vote. What do you guys think of the whole Jay Cutler nightlife fiasco that the media is currently playing out. I think the Chicago media (especially the papers) have no clue anymore. I realize that it won't mean much if we can't run the ball or pass protect, but still I'm surprised there hasn't been much discussion here about Martz's passing scheme. I watched the preseason game, and I replayed every passing down the Bears had. The scheme is GREAT. EVERY down had multiple receivers open, sometimes WIDE open.
