These guys are on fire. 9 WRs already making an impact. Nabers leads the NFL in receptions. Whittington is 3rd in receptions amongst WR rookies and he is a 6th round pick. How does LAR do it? Kupp, then Puka, now Whittington. Thomas looks like a steal at #23. Outside of Whittington, Thomas may end up being the best value WR pick in the draft. I am not worried about Odunze because his issue is not skill, it has been target volume. Once his targets go up, he will be right there with the leaders. Nabers 35-386-3 (1st) Thomas 22-397-3 (1st) Whittington 18-201-0 (6th) Harrison 17-279-4 (1st) Odunze 15-206-1 (1st) McConkey 15-176-2 (2nd) Leget…

It is mock draft season again lol. After all of last year's intrigue with 2x first rounders, now the Bears go into the draft with 2x 2nd rounders. This basically assures them of having a chance to get 3-4x Day One starters. Using the PFF Mock Simulator, after going thru it a few times, this scenario seems possible based on the current player grades: 9. Will Campbell, OT (replaces Jones) 36. Trey Amos, CB (replaces Stevenson) 41. T.J. Sanders, DT (pair with Dexter and Billings) 73. Jalen Royals, WR (WR3 assuming Allen does not return) 145. Luke Kandra, OG (new LG or RG) 201. Andrew Mukuba, S (Brisker insurance) The only thing missing is Edge. What do y…

I don’t care who this guy is, what his potential is, or anything else about him. Cut him tonight. How does an OLineman jump when the entire play is designed to NOT MOVE?! Cut him tonight.

OK! Here's a purely optimistic scenario I probably don't believe in myself, but it COULD be true. With a large grain of salt... McCaskey sucks. That's why they hired Warren. Warren has been BIG 10 commissioner, and worked for the Vikings, knows a lot about football organizations, and has a lot of football contacts. People knew that McCaskey wasnt getting it done, so he got mostly fired and Warren was brought in to do a lot of what McCaskey used to do. When Warren got here, he gave Poles leeway and let him make moves. And Poles made bad choices, while Warren gathered power and influence. Now Warren is ready to start making his first moves. He deosnt deserve …

OK! So instead of rehashing what an awful situation we are in, and how much I want Vrabel lol I thought I'd start a thread about good football. Good coaching, smart plays. So here's an awesome fake punt, and the backstory on how they got there is even better. THAT is coaching!

now we are seeing where the greed of the NFL is starting to blossom. soon you will have to pay for most regular season games even if you are in the local viewing area on free tv, all the playoff games and eventually the superbowl also. as it stands, now you can give BEZOS from amazon your hard earned money. amazon now has an exclusive viewing not only regular season games but of a playoff game also. anyone have any email links to GODell or his cronies? they certainly don't have any comment area's or email links on the NFL's website that i have found. if you don't want to have this sport end up like they have done to baseball you better become serious about compl…

Obviously the passing game was a little slow to get started, but has picked up the last 3 weeks with Caleb averaging 275 yds per game, if he can stay near 250 per game, there is a good chance 2-3 receivers break 1K. I don't think Allen is going to do it. Same with Velus or Scott. Thru 5 weeks: 1. Moore - 294, needs 59 y/g to hit 1K 2. Kmet - 219, needs 65 y/g to hit 1K 3. Odunze - 206, needs 66 y/g to hit 1K 4. Swift - 165, needs 70 y/g to hit 1K 5. Allen - 81, needs 77 y/g to hit 1K 6. Everett - 22, needs 82 y/g to hit 1K 7. Velus - 8, needs 83 y/g to hit 1K 8. Scott - 0, needs 84 y/g to hit 1K Swift is 13th amongst RBs in yards from scrimmag…

ok, these stats could be adjusted. i just didn't want to spend forever doing this. that said, give me johnson any day of the week from what is listed here. we have had a Vrabel in chicago about every 6-8 years. deja'vu all over again. Titans defeated in 2nd wild card game. 2018 - 9-7 - Their most yards of total offense in 2018, with 4,998 yards. Some of this is dependent on who they resign. I am going with them resigning Jenkins for one of the OG positions. With Braxton's injury, the OLine is going to need a new LT, new OC, and a new OG. They need a real TE2, with Allen probably leaving, they will need a new WR3, and they will need a new rotational RB. Depthwise, they will need another OT, OG, and OC. That is 9 spots on the offense at a minimum. On defense, they need a real Edge2, another DT, a CB2, and another S. Depth wise, they need another DT, Edge, CB, LB, and S. So for the 53-man, that's also 9. So I see about 18 spots, at a minimum that need to be filled in FA and the draft. Obviously 4-5 of tho…

From the Twitter Doctors, it looks like a season ending injury and potentially something that will impact next season. So the Bears will need a new LT on opening day next season. Just another need for a team with a ton of needs. Poles needs to go.

The team needs to purge itself of whatever has infested the organization. Whether it is weakness, passiveness, being too nice, whatever it is, they need to clean house and start fresh while Caleb is still on his rookie deal. I would fire Poles, the entire coaching staff, and other staffers that have bred this losing culture over the past 3 years. For the roster, I am saving some cap space by cutting or trading Edmunds, Everett, and Bates to free up about $15M. Some dead cap for Edmunds but it would be worth it. I would be open to trading just about anyone on the roster for draft capital. Poles has now built a team that has had 2 losing streaks 7 games or…

Guys, I’m not sure where to even start. But before the season I think most of us thought Poles had this thing heading in the right direction. And yes we were questioning the offensive line and after taking so many hits there what was questionable became a weak link. The record at the beginning of the season was always a mirage. And the wheels came off due mostly to us facing better teams but also due to horrendous coaching. Just hiring a new coaching staff and repeating the cycle again doesn’t seem to be the answer to me. That said, I’m lost as to where we go from here. I really can’t even watch the games at this point. And Caleb is THIS CLOSE to being …

This one should be fun. It will depend on what Chicago team shows up. If the same one that has mailed it in shows up, this is an easy 20 pt win for Minnesota. If the Bears roster plays up to potential, it will be a lot closer like the first game. However, looking at what Shanahan did to Washington on Sunday, I am assuming KOC will know how to use Jefferson, Addison, Hockenson, and Jones the same way. My initial thought on this is 31-13 Vikings.

Jones has a concussion issue. Kiran Amagadje is available, as is Larry Borom. First and foremost, I worry about Caleb. I want him protected. No point in getting him injured now. But I'd be lying if I said I wasnt interested to see Amagadje out there showing what he's got. Hopefully both are possible at once, and Amagadje shows us something. But if it's one or the other, of course I'd lean toward protecting Caleb. And it's not like Borom is any sure thing. If things get ridiculous, I wouldn't be averse to seeing Bagent out there if things get hairy just to make sure Caleb is OK.

I have seen some people suggesting this, but knowing what the Bears gave up for Mack, at the end of the day, I don't know if 2x 1st rounders would be worth it knowing how much help the OL needs. What do you think? If the Bears offered up their next 2x 1st rounders, would you trade for Parsons? I wouldn't because the Bears need to build with the draft, and I would rather they gain draft capital than trade it away.

SF at 5-7 is favored by 3.5 pts at home. They are playing after a SUN Night game in the snow in BUF, while the Bears are coming off their mini bye at Thanksgiving. SF has lost 3 straight and have been outscored 73-20 in their last two games. McCaffrey looks to be out for the year, so it will be interesting to see how they respond. With the Bears, it will all come down to how the team responds to Brown as the HC. The talent is there as they have been in every game this year outside of the ARZ game. Otherwise, they had a chance to win any one of the other 7 losses. They could've easily beat 3 of the top 10 teams in the league over the past 3 weeks. EPA/PLAY: …
