The biggest day in the U.S. is today.......the NFL trading deadline. Poles has been one of the more active GMs of late during this period. Will he make any moves? Will the Bears be buyers or sellers? With the ravaged OLine, getting anyone to protect Caleb would be useful. I wonder if guys like Herbert or Allen will be moved?

The Hail Mary ended Flus's run, the team was sleepwalking after that game. My hope is this is the signature gritty win they were looking for, battling for 60 minutes to scrap out a last second win. Johnson needs to improve his play calling; felt like he was forcing the runs that were turning into instant lost yards. Then, with first and goal at the 2, you score on first down when you could have burned the clock all the way down and forced them to use their timeouts. A lot of learning points while getting a win going into the bye. They really need Edwards, Jarrett, Gordon, and Wright back.

This guy has exceeded my expectations tenfold. Not only does he seem like an awesome leader and locker room presence, he is balling on the field too. If anyone would've told me he would be a top 10 WR in the NFL thru 3 weeks and the Bears leading receiver, I would've called them crazy. He has a 90.5% catch rate (19/21) which is the highest catch rate in the NFL this season with players that have 20+ targets. The next closest is Coker at 80.8%. He is 6th in Receptions, and his average separation is 5.2 yds, tied for the best in the NFL. In comparison, Burden has a 2.8 and Odunze has a 1.5. Raymond is on pace for over 1,200 yards receiving. There are a couple plays I disagree with him especially the first one because that is a bad pass. Overall the breakdown does explain a few of the bad plays but also shows some positive stuff that I didn't pick up during the game such as Fields switching the play from pass to the Herbert 50yd run. He's still locked on some reads too long but it's still early in the season.

This awesome for the team. Getsy plus a few position coaches will coach at the Senior Bowl. I would not be surprised if the Bears draft 2 or 3 guys from that game. Great intel for scouting and the draft.

It was a fairly entertaining game until the ticky tack call that basically ended the game. It probably was the right call, but tough given the situation (not called earlier). However, the Eagles did that to themselves, their vaunted defense was terrible. Hurts fumbles against no contact and it ends up as a defensive TD. Crazy to think the Eagles offense outscored the Chiefs offense and lost. BTW, thanks for the 4th round pick for Quinn(#132). In total the ‘23 draft yielded 3 WR in DJ Moore, Chase Claypool, and Tyler Scott. Collectively that’s a pretty good haul for a single draft. I definitely believe Scott was best available when we took him. He hedges things a bit with resigning Mooney and to a lesser extent Claypool. With Scott on board it brought to mind a question about how would a team defend a 5 WR set. I include Velus in this not ESB because he is the better runner.
