I think Balta has been a little busy lately, so I'll step into his role. Tough matchup for Jays return. I think we'll see whoever Joe Haden isn't on have a huge day, and it won't be because Jay is focusing on 1 guy, it'll be because Joe Haden is really good. The Browns are running out a familiar face in Jason Cambell, who last week dropped 371 yards against a middle of the pack Patriot defense (Josh McCown who?). 3 of the NFLs top WRs will be featured in this game, Josh Gordon, Alshon Jeffery, and Brandon Marshall....Cleveland also features the 2nd best TE in the league, Jordan Cameron.....The secondaries on both sides will have their hands full. Is Ch…

We now get to see Cutler back under center for better or for worst. He will get us back on his bandwagon or cause much talk about McCown again. I hope he does well, we win out and make the playoffs. But: as the season goes we will probably win 2 of the next 3 and not make the playoffs. Lions have a better 3 games to deal with than we do. So for Christmas I would like us to win out(first choice) or lose out and get the best draft position we can grab. So what do you want for Christmas?

This is a must read. The guy who wrote this is fairly new writer to Bleacher Nation. BN expanded to include a Bears side to go with the Cubs side as well. Everyone should follow him @BearsBN on twitter. You wont regret. All his articles are very well thought out and well written. Here is his most recent article regarding the McCown and Cutler situation and what we should do going forward. Enjoy. http://www.bleachernation.com/bears/2013/1...ler-and-mccown/

Well we hopefully will get the answer to the big question. Is the Cutler going to get that long contract? If he dominates I would think he gets a pretty good contract. If he plays like shit Im not sure what would happen. If he plays decent then I would lean to the Tag. Three options: 1. He dominates the rest of the games 2. Plays decent or a little better then the beginning of the season 3. Looks like crap, almost Cutler in the Lovie era (which im not sure is possible) What do you guys think will play out with each option?

Could be bullshit, I have no idea. But this is the first indication that the Bears might be thinking about going the cheap route and using the cap dollars on positions other than QB. We've debated that extensively elsewhere and I'm officially on the fence. http://www.nationalfootballpost.com/Bears-...-offseason.html Take it for what it's worth...

I'm wondering if anyone here happened to DVR the game? If so I would gladly pay for the time, effort, and materials to have the game put on DVD. I've been trying to find a torrent of it and have had no luck, nor could I find it on a couple auction sites that sometimes list games.

Brad Biggs ‏@BradBiggs 11 Dec So barring something unexpected, Trestman clear #Bears will start Jay Cutler vs #Browns on Sunday. Brad Biggs ‏@BradBiggs 11 Dec But Trestman is leaving decision on QB open because he wants to see how he performs in workout later today, maybe see how he feels Thursday I think it's the right move.

http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/break...story?track=rss I've been talking about this for awhile now, and it's nice to see that there's a good chance it happens. He signed a 5M contract last year after putting up 9 sacks, this year he's less productive because he's apart of a deep Seahawk defense that rotates 4 DEs, I can imagine the Bears can get him for that same amount per year on a multi year deal.

  10. First, Mondays game was awesome. Seeing our offense do what they did was crazy. Reminded me of the first 5 weeks of 2005 when Great Rex was showing up. Couple of thoughts tho 1. I expected the Offense to hit this type of stride come week 8 or 9. New Coach, system, oline. It takes time for a offense to gel. Do you think if Cutler had not got hurt would his numbers be even better then McCown? 2. Trying not to drink the kool aid too much, they did look great against The Cowboys, the Cowboys D is horrible. Everyone is craving them up. 3. Had McCown not been lucky this game could have been very different. Had two INT's dropped, taking two scores away and a 3r…

Found this highlight clip someone put together on the top DTs for the draft. So as we head to bowl season here's some names to watch for. This was put together before the college season started but still worthwhile. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ymLcqEQKYI

I am not sure if I am pro Cutler next year or Josh and a rookie to groom. In a perfect world, we would resign Culter for a reasonable price. My questions is with all the attention from other teams about going after Culter this offseason, What would have been the incentive for Culter to come back this year risking more injuries if we would have lost last night? Would he have played the I'm not 100% card to go into the FA period healthy?

  15. Started by jason,

I love Trestman. Last night is what I've wanted to see for years. Get up on a team with an offensive scheme? KEEP RUNNING THAT SCHEME! Step on their throat! Do not let them breathe! That's exactly what the offense did last night under Trestman. He did not change, get conservative, let off the gas. He said, "Let's run our offense and try to score." I loved every second of it. We all know Lovie would have let off the gas when the Bears got about 28. A two touchdown lead may as well be 100 points to Lovie Smith. That would have guaranteed a bunch of three-and-out drives because of conservative play-calling, followed by an elastic defense more worried about ea…

So, I understand that Tennessee is in a bad position these days but why would they specifically come out and say they are 'targeting Cutler'? I'm not sure why but I don't like it. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap200000029...ennessee-titans

Well, the Bears are more than on the ropes and they get a division-leading team Monday night.

  20. Started by adam,

With Kubiak gone, it would seem like Lovie is a logical choice for the position. What do you guys think? They are a much better team than their record, and they pretty much have the #1 pick wrapped up. Seems like a great situation for a new coach as the team cannot perform any worse.
