  2. has got to go. Moving Manning yet again. Steltz getting most of the reps at FS in the offseason and now is inactive. This coaching staff is done. http://www.suntimes.com/sports/football/be...earnt04.article Peace

Reading a Trib article talking about what to do if/when Pace is healthy. Article mostly seems to point to the greater need of finding out whether Williams is their LT or not, but in reading the article, Briggs makes the following comment. While he has been maligned for his play much of the season, he held up blocking the Vikings' Jared Allen solo before being hurt. I read that and just froze. To say he blocked Jared Allen solo is equal to saying, hey, Jonathan Quinn started at QB. Just because you point out a situation a player was in doesn't factor how they played. Yes, we did put Pace on Allen solo (still can't figure that one out) but Allen abused Pac…

  4. Far too often we are forced to see the DL jump offsides. Far too often we are forced to see the OL twitch in crucial moments. Far too often we are forced to see the WR run the wrong route. Far too often we are forced to see the LB pick the wrong gap. Far too often we are forced to see the DB make horrible tackling attempts. This is the most poorly coached Bears team I have ever seen. I don't know what this coaching staff must do to get fired, but this is ridiculous.

It is sort of interesting to see where both of these players are a couple years after they both dominated the return game in 2007. Since then, Hester has been converted to a full time WR and has 0 return TD's and is near the bottom in Punt Returns (8.1 AVG). Receiving-wise, Hester has scored 6 Receiving TDs since 2007 with over 1,300 yards in two seasons (49th in receiving yards in 2008 and currently 43rd in 2009). Cribbs has 6 Return TDs since 2007, and is still a league leader in both Punts and Kickoffs. At this point, has this been the wrong decision? Based on the numbers, Hester is scoring less as a WR than as a Returner, and based on number of snaps, e…

HOME Minnesota (11-4) Philadelphia (11-4) Green Bay (10-5) New England (10-5) NY Jets (8-7) Seattle (5-10) Washington (4-11) Detroit (2-13) AWAY Minnesota (11-4) Green Bay (10-5) Dallas (10-5) NY Giants (8-7) Miami (7-8) Carolina (7-8) Buffalo (5-10) Detroit (2-13) These games are assuming the NFL uses the same pattern they have used thru 2009. Hub was on the score just a little bit ago and he saying that the Bears have already reached an agreement with Martz but "they are soooo afraid of what Cutler will think" and that is the reason he hasn't been hired yet. I will also no longer listen to what Martz says. He also went on to say how much of a baby that Cutler is and everything but then just a minute later he said that you never really saw that during the season. I think he is getting his information for not so realiable sources. He tried to say that he heard that Cutler was such a big baby and everything in Denver all the time but I think that is funny because you never really heard much from him until aft…

More fun with tampering: Bears met with Peppers' agent Posted by Gregg Rosenthal on March 2, 2010 11:03 PM ET The Bears have taken an illegal running head start towards free agency, according to the Chicago Tribune. David Kaplan reports that the representative for Julius Peppers, Carl Carey, met with Bears brass during the NFL Scouting Combine. Carey has only one active contract in the NFL, so he's not just chit-chatting. We know: this stuff happens all the time. It happens so much, the word "tampering" isn't even in the Tribune's story. Denials will come swiftly Wednesday, but the league has to have a problem when their rules are flaunted so public…

Denver just traded Peyton Hillis, this years 6th and a late round pick next year for Brady Quinn. Kyle had a good year with us then gets traded away. He put up good numbers last year for Denver and now who know what will happen. Poor guy just cant catch a break.

Bears signed DT Matt Toeaina off the Bengals' practice squad. A sixth-round pick out of Oregon in April, Toeaina immediately becomes the Bears' fifth defensive tackle. He was known as a run stopper with the Ducks. Bears signed former Rams DT Jimmy Kennedy on Tuesday. Kennedy, a 2003 first-round pick by the Rams, has been a bust in the NFL and has not played this season after being waived by the Broncos in training camp. The Bears are desperate for interior line help after a recent rash of injuries and Kennedy played under coach Lovie Smith with the Rams Lovie Smith is "hopeful" that CB Nathan Vasher (groin) can return to the lineup this week against the Vik…

The majority of this board wants a OT in the first round. The question i want to pose is who is the Bears Offensive Star,Olin Kruetz??? I understand that fixing the Oline should be a priority but I look at the good teams around the league and their Offensive star is not an offensive lineman. Does anybody really believe that drafting and OT in the first is gonna make Benson not look to fall down after contact or make the WR's stop dropping passes. Even though he might not come back drafting Clady in the 1st is not gonna make Rex grow 5 more inches. I know people are gonna bring up how Joe Thomas comes in and Cleveland looks like a legit team but before they brought hi…

Does anyone have a really good mock draft site they go to? I'd like top see one with multiple rounds. Not just round one...maybe something through the 3rd. Also, has time expired on underclassmen becoming available for the draft? Thanks in advance for any info!

There was an interesting article on the Chicago Tribune website entitled Scout Talk: Senior Bowl winners and losers that talked about the players who played in the Senior Bowl and which ones may be on the rise and which ones are falling out of grace with some of the GMs & scouts. One player we have discussed quite a bit in other threads was the first mentioned: A good article mentioning many other players, well worth the read for draftniks.

Just kidding. But really, if you need proof that stats can be very misleading, check this out. Look at Urlacher's stats. He had his best year statistically. http://www.nfl.com/players/brianurlacher/p...le?id=URL059326 In 8 seasons he's only had more tackles twice. Since his rookie season he's never had more than 6 sacks so 5 sacks this season is pretty good. Url had 5 picks, which is almost twice as many as he's ever had in a season before and blew away his old stats in terms of passes defended with 12, literally twice as many as he'd ever put up before. He also took a pick back to the house for the first time. If I was playing Madden, I'm sure I'…
