Tebow will never be a great QB in the league, but he does have traits that other players are lacking like size, leadership, and morality. I know it's a down time, so I figured I'd throw this up there. What player if they only had a Tebow trait could have been became top players in the league. Quick examples off the top of my head, Jeff George with leadership, Doug Flutie with Size, or Hernandez with morality or whatever. This isn't because I am a Tebow fan. I saw an article about Strawberry wishing he was more like him. It just made me think of all the players that were missing one thing from being great.

I know its slow and this may have been talked about before but I just want to see what you think about our team with who stays and who goes. QB Blanchard, Cutler, McCown, The three make the team RB Allen, Bush, Ford, Forte, Unga, Unga gets cut but there might be a battle between Ford and Allen, I would keep Ford FB Fiammetta He stays TE Adams, Bennett, Eldridge, Maneri, Miller, Onobun, With Bennett the catcher,Maneri the blocker that leaves one maybe two spots open.I look for Miller and Eldridge to get canned first WR Anderson, Aromashodu, Bennett, Golden, Jackson, Jeffery, Lenz, Marshall, Toliver, Weems, Wilson, …

I thought I was the only football fan watching these bull runs in Pamplona but Rex Ryan is actually there: http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap100000021...-once-but-twice Rex was lucky that bull just stopped at a huge pileup of people and never attacked anyone, especially considering how long it took him to get over the fence. My wife is Spanish and so we have TV broadcast from Spain and I watch the run nightly at 11pm. This is how I survive the worst sports month of the year. If anyone is interested the video of the daily bull runs is all here: http://www.sanfermin.com The videos of the daily runs are at the El Encierro link near the top. In t…

  6. http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-shutdown...-140847782.html This might have affected his play, especially trying to punch through the line on those short yardage plays. I just wonder if this was a known condition and they let him play hurt?

This is a must listen to piece of journalism. I will be routing for Brian to make the falcon and it puts into perspective how much time you want to put into listening about Aaron Hernandez. I would say a big fat zero. A pampered big time Charlie who thought he was an untouchable. Brian could have been a great prospect however wrongfully accused of rape and kidnap. Lawyer who is now a judge sold him down the river. Disadvantaged throughout the legal process. A great story.

  8. Well our O-line will be different this year for sure, but now different and who plays where is the $100,000 dollar question. The bold IMHO will be the starters with a coin flip at RT between Webb and Scott now that Carimi has been traded Boggs, Garza,Williams, Lonergan, at center Slauson, Long, Dennis, Mills, Britton at guard Brandon, Brown,Bushrod, Mills, Scott, Webb, at tackle

99% of the items on ProFootballTalk.com are a complete waste of bandwidth, this story is probably no different. But it's Bears-related and it's July 1st so we can either keep arguing about stupid stuff or discuss this list. Players 1-75 have yet to be released but I find the fact that Forte barely made it in at 100 curious. I guess he didn't have a great season last year but one would think they'd give him a little more love than #100 out of 100. This story is here. Other Bears making it are Melton and Briggs at 95 and 96, respectively. I'm interested to see if Cutler even makes it. Who else? Peppers, Peanut, Marshall, Gould, Webb?

  10. The Patriots are offering fans the opportunity to exchange Hernandez jerseys for a new in stock Patriots jersey. I think this is very appropriate and classy move by this organization. http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-shutdown...-193511953.html Not to make light of the Hernandez case but which former Bear Player should the Bears Organization offer a simialr opportunity for fans to exchange for a new jersey? Right now my vote would be for Cedric Benson; he absolutly was one of their biggest turds to ever wear the blue and orange in recent years. Fortunatley, I never had a Benson jersey but if I did I would want the Bears to accept an exchange request. …

Thank God for the Chicago Blackhawks! Baseball in this town is just abysmal and our basketball superstar took the season off, months after he was cleared. I'm not that into other sports, Bears football is my #1 by a long shot, but hockey started being fun again when Rocky took over the team. And now, hopefully they'll win two more and we'll have another parade. It should motivate guys in other sports and on other pro teams when they see how this town celebrates a winner! If they want to be heroes and they succeed, they'll get rewarded beyond their wildest dreams in this city. And even if the Hawks don't win it all, they've been awesome and they've gotten us to b…

This short video gives a good glimpse into how Kromer coaches the oline. I have no clue about how past Oline coaches and OCs have done things but I do like Kromer's level of detail and decisiveness in how they have to do things, especially the combination blocks, my term for delayed blitzes and stunts, which I think we've really struggled with the last few years. http://www.chicagobears.com/multimedia/vid...dd-4621beb1c3ba

The Chicago Bears website has a video series called "Inside Rookie Minicamp" and today they released the 3rd episode. http://www.chicagobears.com/multimedia/vid...camp_Episode_3/ The reason for this post is that I saw two things I'd been curious about, back to back. For one I was hoping that the staff would continue Lovie's tradition of considering incomplete passes to be live balls. If you look at the video at 4:15 you can see that they are clearly doing that. I think it goes a long way toward making turnovers a cultural priority, and also practicing the mechanics of scooping up fumbles and coordinating blocking etc for runbacks. Fantastic. Then, as a…
