Just taking the temperature of the board - I sense a lot of resistence to Manti Te'o, but I wonder if he's become underrated at this point. So I'm wondering, what is the earliest you would be OK with having the Bears draft Te'o? Assume for the purposes of the question that either Ogletree or Brown are gone by #20 (but not both). 1) #20 overall 2) Trade down, but pick still in the 1st round 3) Trade down, but pick in the early 2nd round 4) #50 5) Don't want him

So I was bored and decided to take a look at 10 different mock drafts and see where players were being projected. This would give me at least somewhat of a clue for who will be there at #20. Here is what I came up. I don't think we will but we still need another backup QB. The Cardinals had four QB'S on their roster after cutting Skelton and a few teams have three to five. What if we could sign J.Russell....cut from the Raiders.....hey...he will come cheap, has starting experience, is now back on rack and hungry to play and is a big man to bring down like Big Ben........so what say you?

Since some people think we are smarter than most GMs lets put that to practice. First question. With the Urlacher controversy, WOULD WE SIGN URLACHER FOR THE 3.5 MILLION HE WOULD HAVE SIGNED FOR? My vote would be a matter of valve, the Bears offer him 2 mil to come back. He turned it down. I think that was a fair valve for what he would bring to the table in 2013. I dont think he would make the full season without missing games, therefore If he signed for the 2 mil, I would still draft his replacement in the first couple of rounds. I've seen some rumors that the Bears are interested in Arthur Brown. I watched a couple highlight videos, including all of this one and I'm not that impressed. I see him as a 2nd Rd selection because a) he's not that big he gets lost a lot on the field giving up some big plays. He can play with some leverage for his size but I'd say he's a replacement for Briggs and will never be a MLB in the NFL. Ogletree has some of the same issues but he's bigger and stronger and I see him making making more impact plays. Despite the character flaws I prefer Ogletree in Rd 1.

Thought this was interesting, since there were only three GMs there. Maybe a long look at Robert Woods (who was reportedly very impressive) or Khalid Holmes?

The latest Watlers mock draft, has us taking #1 Arthur Brown/LB #2 Larry Warford/OG #4 Josh Boyce/WR That is a mock I can get behind.Love it.

It will take the end of the season or maybe two years from now to judge what Emery is doing now, but I has to give him kudos for having a plan. He is systematically filling our needs with resigning or someone new. The biggest one is not signing the great Brian Urlacher, which in my opinion, is a good move. He is one year older and injury prone, and not up to par anymore. We filled his spot with a risk but with upside. A productive player until last year, Williams has something to prove. He will never be Urlacher in his prime years but tons better than Urlacher 2013. Anderson is a better choice than Roach,so at least on paper this looks like an upgrade. We got a cheap QB o…
