Bearstalk

Aaron Kromer is in trouble, big time, I see a suspension coming soon...... Assult & Battery on a minor........ Article from NFL.com Turns out he is a real jerk, assuming all of this info is true. Happy he is no longer associated with the Bears.

plus interesting note on Barton. http://www.suntimes.com/sports/football/be...earnt05.article Peace uy7hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhyt6

I was looking at a 9ers message board in their bears/9ers game thread to see what they had to say and I stumbled upon this....Probably not news but I haven't heard it before. Doug Farrar: One of the reasons the Bears' O-line is so weak is that Tice doesn't install protections in the preseason. Minimal prep with calls. Something tells me this won't happen in the Trestman era.

Only 9.5 favorites for Week 1, those are pretty good betting odds in favor of the Bears. I see them winning by at least 10. Hard to see the game being closer than that. I am figuring at least 31 on offense, and I can't see the Colts breaking 20 unless there are some late garbage points. What do you think? I say Bears 34-17.

Who are you rooting for? I'm all in for the Panthers. Go Chico. Peace

So its almost that time...we have 27 free agents this year with a lot of one year contracts. So in the best interest for the team ...who do we resign and who do we let walk? Quarterback: Jay Cutler Jordan Palmer Josh McCown Running Backs Tony Fiammetta Wide Receivers: Devin Hester Tight Ends: Dante Rosario Offensive Tackles: Jonathan Scott Guards: Matt Slauson Eben Britton Centers: Roberto Garza Defensive Ends: Corey Wootton Defensive Tackles: Nate Collins Henry Melton Jay Radcliff Outside Linebackers James Anderson CHI Inside Linebackers DJ Williams …

... 4 years, not sure of the details.

What if we signed Michael Floyd from the Patriots as a free agent to a low end contract at WR and draft Evan Engram as a TE. How much better would this make our offense?

Good riddance. He can't say shit about Rex, now.

Jacob infante had this on his Twitter account. Most overrated: leno Most underrated: Whitehair 2nd Best player:( Mack would be everyone's answer. ) ARob Best new addition( draft): Johnson Best new addition( FA) Quinn Could surprise: Gibson Takes a leap: Smith Prove it year: Foles Most disappointing: Graham All pros: Mack-Smith- EJac- Fuller Komet stats: 36- 425- 4- TDS First game for fans : the regular season start SO WHAT SAY YOU These are my choices

Lions favored at home by a FG. Talk about a great game to bet on. The one team that Trubisky has dominated has been the Lions. I am surprised the Lions are favored by anything, but I suspect this line will crawl closer to even by game time. I say Bears 27-13.

The NFL announced they were turning Chicago into draft-town or something like it. Does anybody here care? I could make it a point to at least visit the festivities if I wanted but I have zero interest. I love going to training camp each year. I'll be following the draft for 3 days straight. But I have no interest in visiting. Is it just me or does anybody here care?

Noots’ Notes-Game 14: 27-24 Win over New Orleans in OT By Michael Nudo The Bears (8-6) got out to a 21-7 halftime lead on the strength of Danieal Manning’s 83-yard opening kickoff return for a touchdown. There were few style points in the victory, as they frittered away the lead in the second half, and needed to kick a field goal to tie and eventually win in overtime. Moving forward to stay in the playoff hunt (AP Photo/Gerald Herbert). OFFENSE Quarterback Kyle Orton (24-40-172, 2 INT, 4/6, TD, Fumble) didn’t have a particularly good game, but did just enough when needed to lead the team to the win. One of his interceptions was thrown directly…

http://espn.go.com/nfl/standings/_/type/pl...ank/order/false Must win this coming week. Right now we are ahead of the Eagles by one game and tied with the same record with Falcons and Bucs but hold the tie breaker. This years wild card race is going to be intense.

http://www.nationalfootballpost.com/Bronco...r-Marshall.html Look about halfway down...Lombardi's saying that the Bears are trying to deal Des Clark, not Olsen.

Toeaina looked very sluggish tonight and not much impact - why did he start over the DT's available?

http://www.chicagobears.com/news/NewsStory.asp?STORY_ID=8716 McShay sees Bears drafting Stanford tackle By: Larry Mayer | Last Updated: 4/2/2012 9:23 AM In his latest mock draft, ESPN analyst Todd McShay is predicting that the Bears will select Stanford offensive tackle Jonathan Martin with the 19th pick in the first round. Jonathan Martin “Martin needs to add some strength, but he could pair with 2011 first-round OT Gabe Carimi to give offensive coordinator Mike Tice a pair of bookends to coach up,” McShay writes. McShay also believes that the Bears will choose Clemson tight end Dwayne Allen in the second round (50th overall). The Bears…

Byrd promoted in coaching shuffle The Bears added a third wrinkle to the changes on the coaching staff as assistant defensive backs coach Gill Byrd was promoted to assistant DB’s/safeties coach. The club announced the move Wednesday afternoon when it also got around to officially naming Lloyd Lee the new linebackers coach, and announcing the addition of Eric Washington to the staff as an assistant defensive line coach. Byrd, a former Pro Bowl performer for the San Diego Chargers, has been on the coaching staff for the past two seasons and was elevated to assistant DB’s coach last season after serving as a quality control coach in 2006. http://blogs.sunti…

Ryan Clark negotiated with the Pittsburgh Steelers this week to see if he could hammer out a longterm extension but that didn’t happen and the free agent is drawing pretty solid interest early in free agency. His agent Joel Turner declined to name the teams involved but said six clubs, including the Steelers, are involved at this point. Obviously, Arizona and Chicago would be on a very short list of teams seeking safeties with Miami and the New York Giants also in the market. Washington, where Clark used to play, could also be looking for a safety. “Everyone is gaga over Antrel Rolle,” Turner said. “Ryan is a better player. He’s got better numbers across the boa…
