They were 7-3, playing very well on both sides of the ball, and looking like a wild card team that could make some noise in January. Then Cutler went down, running back Matt Forte got hurt as well, and the offense simply couldn’t do anything as the Bears stumbled home to an 8-8 finish. That .500 record made 2011 a disa…

http://espn.go.com/blog/chicago/bears/post...urlacher-cutler So the question has to be asked, what do you think the team will do (in the long run) with both Brian and Jay? Obviously it's way too early to probably worry about it but if the team does do reallly well this year, it could make for some dicey negotiations. By the way, I could help but notice how dour Cutler and Urlacher look in the article picture.

IMHO the real postion battles that we should keep an eye on is the Oline. These are the players we have on the roster Roberto Garza C, Chris Spencer C ,Cory Brandon OT, James Brown OT, Gabe Carimi OT, A.J. Greene OT, Tyler Hendrickson OT, J'Marcus Webb OT, Ricky Henry OG , Lance Louis OG ,Nick Pieschel OG Chilo Rachal OG, Chris Williams OG Edwin Williams OG/C. Looking at these players i think from the start that Greene, Hendrickson,Henry,Brandon and Pieschel wont make the team...that just me. The GM spoke about Henry, Pieschel and Rachal so who knows...but I have a feeling that its going to be Williams LT, Spencer LG, Garza C, Louis RG Carimi RT as the 1st string,…

On NFL.com they posted a great video in celebration of Payton's Birthday, one many of us have seen before, but what a great video to watch, unbelievable and worth a few minutes of your time. I do not care about statistics, Sweetness is the best running back of all time. http://nflfilms.nfl.com/2012/07/25/this-da..._content_stream

For a late round pick. 6'1, 301. DT from Tampa Bay. I remember he was taken 35th overall a few drafts ago out of UCLA. Supposedly, he's a headcase. He punched a teammate last year. He's been in the NFL for 2 years, and had 0 sacks his first year and 3 last year.

http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...rs&lpos=Sub Bears boost CB depth with free agent Ware The Chicago Bears added a ninth cornerback to the roster Saturday when they signed Jeremy Ware, a free agent who was a seventh-round pick with the Raiders. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/category/rumor-mill/ Bears pursued Otah before trade to Jets The Jets weren’t the only NFL team in pursuit of oft-injured, underachieving offensive tackle Jeff Otah before his Monday trade to New York. A league source told Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribunethat the Bears had “talks with the Panthers” about acquiring the fifth-year tackle. Otah wound up cos…

Newly-acquired defensive tackle Brian Price has passed his physical with the Bears and will wear No. 95; LB Adrien Cole switches from No. 95 to 49. So switching from 95 a LB number to 49 a RB/DB number to me is just telling him that he will not make the team.

Every year it amazes me how many rookies go unsigned into camp, and sometimes into the season. Looking at this year's list, there were a bunch of players that could've ended up on the Bears. Guys like Blackmon (if we traded up), Kendall Wright, DeCastro, and Poe from the first round come to mind. Some others like DeVier Posey and Trumaine Johnson from later rounds are also unsigned. What could you possibly be holding out for? You are basically slotted, and unless the team is under-cutting the slot, these should be easy deals. I love that fact that the Bears are great at getting rookie players to sign, sometimes the entire rookie class signs before some other…

never woulda thought that.... oh wait Ya I completely did. I know its TC, never put any stock into it... But this will go down as epic bust

Here's a good place to stick the daily "Generic training camp article on player x". Link Here's today's, on Brandon Hardin.

Details here: http://bigstory.ap.org/NFL-Pro32 I suppose this is about right. Until the O Line proves itself, we shouldn't be cracking anyone's top 10.

Thought this was interesting. Shows Bears as 3rd highest percentage to make the playoffs. http://footballoutsiders.com/stats/playoffodds
