this is old data that i compiled around 2007 and updated around 2012. it does not include any updates since that time. it was an exhausting undertaking that took a major amount of time and research. it states as i always contended, that the higher the first round picks the better chance to get quality players. jason asked for it, if this is what he was looking for here it is... ================================================================================ below are some statistics i compiled for the old board about 8 years ago and i have updated the information to date, 2012. it lists all players drafted in slots 1-20 in the first round and how they co…

I don't know a thing about these guys but they can't be studs given the one year deals they're signing.

They just had his press conference on the SCORE and he talked about playing all phases of special teams. Boers and Bernstein commented that he looks like a linebacker. Hub Arkush commented on a rumor that he might be Urlacher's eventual replacement. Here's how I look at it: One of our greatest areas of need was a situational pass rusher. We haven't had that since Mark Anderson's rookie year. In his rookie year, if he can fill that role, ratchet up double-digit sacks, won't that be pretty damn good?

...Between Trestman and Lovie...? I'll start with draft choices and free agents from Emery within the respective years. How about the balls to start two rooks on the right side? There's more but I want to see your thoughts! I like what I'm seeing and hearing about the new staff.

The prize is Houston , I think we're waiting for him to accept an offer and his other options. There are a few other edges out there. Shane Ray and Derrick Morgan had some good years but injuries have produced very little the last few years. Then lynch could be back. I think the Houston signing could be problematic on the growth of Floyd who could have his much waited for breakout year. So I think it comes down to money for Houston.

Bears needs are WR,DT,CB,OLB,OL. We didn't get Baldwin, I say Greg Little would be a nice consolation prize.

From the Sun Times: NFL to release full schedule Tuesday The wait for the NFL schedule to be released will end Tuesday. A Bears spokesman said the league will use its television station as a platform to release the schedule at 1 p.m. The Bears know they open the season Sept. 7 against the Indianapolis Colts in the first regular-season game at Lucas Oil Stadium. This is about two weeks later than the schedule has been released in recent years. There was some talk at the owners meetings that the league wanted to ensure it had divisional games near the end of the schedule in an effort to eliminate as many inconsequential Week 16 and 17 matchups as possible. …

Since some people think we are smarter than most GMs lets put that to practice. First question. With the Urlacher controversy, WOULD WE SIGN URLACHER FOR THE 3.5 MILLION HE WOULD HAVE SIGNED FOR? My vote would be a matter of valve, the Bears offer him 2 mil to come back. He turned it down. I think that was a fair valve for what he would bring to the table in 2013. I dont think he would make the full season without missing games, therefore If he signed for the 2 mil, I would still draft his replacement in the first couple of rounds. Since he wanted a 2 year contract at 11 mil and would have accepted 3.5 but still wanted two years, I would say not take h…

An article in NFL Mocks website had an article talking about the Bears making many 2nd tier players instead of a couple big names I think this is more on FAgency pans out instead of the Byrds and Bennetts. http://nflmocks.com/2014/03/04/chicago-bea...fl-free-agency/
