Our Defense has been good/great for awhile, the difference this year is Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jefferies. They have been helping us with first downs/time of possesion, which helps out the defense able to rest more. Boy did I hate the last 10 years when the offence kept getting 3 and outs and watching the defense get up off the bench like " Man can we get a little more rest"? You can always find stats to support an opinion good or bad but the fact that the O-line gave up no sacks is a mirage. When you factor in that Forte on 16 carries could only gain 39 yards and aside from a couple of scrambles by Cutler,those 115 rush yards also are not what they appear to be.The Texans looked like they played some Cover 2 a lot and didn't blitz as much as they normally do.They were really concentrating on keeping the Bears from making a big play and almost every time the Bears took a shot down the field there was a safety over the top of whoever was targeted. Looking at the game I only can only remember Bush in on 1 snap a 6 yard run with power. Lovie didn't mention Bush in the injury report today and Allen was in on at least 2 snaps.

SO I think these will be our choices for our pick; Te'o/LB overall ratings on two sites; 10th and 16th Ogletree/LB overall ratings on two sites; 12th and 29th Etrz/TE overall ratings on two sites; 24th and 32nd Cooper/OG overall ratings on two sites; 20th and 23rd so who do you take with that first pick? Last night on twitter greg cossell talked about 2 WRs that he likes according to what he sees on tape. Both have mid to late rd selection type grades currently Aaron Mellette, Elon - greg likes him for his size, great hands plus athleticism at 6'2" 217 lbs. Also has deceptive movement for a big. Emery pretty much confirms what we already knew - with these two moves, the Bears get a lot of draft flexibility and are more likely than they otherwise would have been to trade down.
