Don't get me wrong, I hate the guy. He's a heartless robot. His teams run up the score and he's been caught cheating. But damn, I look at the scoreboard every week and it doesn't seem to matter how much talent he has left on the field. He loses his QB, no biggie. They march on. His won/loss record has to be right up there. He's won a number of championships and had the undefeated season going last year until the final game. I think his legacy is tainted by the cheating thing and the biggest choke of all time losing last year, but he's probably still going to finish up his career thought of as the best ever. Lovie said after the game that "it's very serious and not looking good". Great. Does this mean we have to draft another DT? Dvoracek is injured all the time and not that productive even when he's in. Harrison has been a pleasant surprise but Idonije is medicore. Harris is playing better, though. Adams is a solid player, as well.

The one consistent bright spot has been Forte this season and he finally eclipsed the 1000 yard mark as a rookie. Congrats, hats off.

The epitome of mediocrity 1. 6-6 record, 16th overall ranking on defense, 23rd overall ranking on offense. It doesn't get (much) more tepid than that. What's especially disturbing,however... 2. Is how the Bears appear to be regressing. The defense has been spotty at best all season. now the offense can't get out of its own way. Special teams, a former strength, have disappeared. "Super Bowl" contenders, when they lose tough games early in the season, from my recollection, don't get steadily worse as the season wears on. They beat our arse in the most important game of the year. They deserve to go to the playoffs and we do not. The last 2 losses on the road are a direct reflection on our coaching staff. If they cannot turn this around and get the team to 9-7 or better then they should go. This has nothing to do with the 'fire and the passion' but instead the fact they are being out coached repeatedly.
