1. The offense is still a work in progress. Cutler just wasn't on the same page with the WR's + Forte. 2. Forte and Bush had no lanes to run through. 3. The defense has only given up 3 TD's in 2 games. Prior to the year, everyone had this as the Bears weakness. Positives: -Peppers has been really good. -Melton has 3 sacks already. -Wooton has been solid. -McClellin is on pace for 12 sacks. -Briggs is still really good and Tillman hasn't lost a step. -Jennings...Pro Bowl? Negatives: -Paea hasn't done much. -DJ Moore seems like he's regressed. -Conte still isn't healthy, it doesn't seem. -Urlacher still isn't 100% and it's showing a bit. So, more pros than cons.

I had this penciled as a possible loss on the road to 3 and 1, but the Cutler backlash could be something that separates a loss from a lOOOOOSSSS. Jaquizz Rodgers was placed on the season ending IR. Bears signed home run hitting Antone Smith. I liked Quiz, but I wanna see more Langford....and Antone Smith could add a a speed element were lacking. Think D'Anthony Thomas and the way he scored on the Bears yesterday.

Kevin White was at practice doing some side work. Fox said he's been doing indoor work and has progressed to grass. Really encouraging stuff. Probably still out 4-6 weeks I'd guess but that's a whole lot sooner than I thought (I thought he'd be gone all year). I know playoffs sound crazy, but tread water around .500 till White (and Alshon) comes back, and explode through the last 5-6 weeks and boom, playoffs.

At this point Detroit has nothing to lose and with players getting benched in the middle of the last game I expect a hard fought game. Given all the injuries we're stacking up it's hard to know which players will take the field. I think Bushrod will start but I'm not sure that's a good thing against Ansah's speed. Alshon seems like he'll be back but I think he'll be in a limited role. Marcellus Bennett is questionable too. Detroit is ranked lower than us in run defense and their pass defense is more solid. At one point on the sidelines Hurst was shown trying to loosen up a hamstring. I have no idea if he's injured (two weeks before next game?) or what he did to lose his job after helping force that second punt turnover by pushing Fuller into the ball.

I know there hasn't been much reported about Kevin White lately, but after doing some digging, it looks like the team will have to do something with him by November 24th (12 days from now). At that point they will have 3 options: 1. place him on injured reserve (most likely) 2. release him (obviously not going to happen here) 3. bring him back to practice (then have up to 21 days before adding him to 53-man roster) So if White had a chance to play this year, he could come back as late as December 20th (at Minnesota), 4 months removed from surgery, and would be eligible to play as early as next week if activated (and in game shape, which is not likely). I tried Macallan 18 yesterday at a xmas party, this is the first expensive scotch I have tried. Well.....guess what.....I fell in love. lol. If anyone of you guys have tried the Macallan 18, what is another brand that tastes similar buts doesn't cost so much? Is the Lagavulin similar to the Macallan 18??? Yes...he has sucked as a returner, but damn has he been good in the slot. I want him back next year. Showed good hands, a knack for being in the right spot, and even did a nice job gaining additional yards after the catch. He reminded me a bit of Bobby Engram late in the year (who is the best slot receiver I can ever remember the Bears having in my span). I presume Royal will be cut (or restructure) and given what Marc showed, I'm okay giving him some additional responsibility.

We only have one offseason to draw from, and from what I understand the Bears have more cap space this offseason than last. That said, last year and his general comments suggest Pace is more likely to target young, up and coming players (see McPhee) than break the bank for a guy that’s established, but might not be worth his contract in four years. So I can’t really see a fit with Von Miller, Josh Norman, Muhammad Wilkerson, or even Malik Jackson.
