A guy at my office just said he overhead on the radio (this in LA mind you...) that this game is being thought of in similar fashion for the Lions as the 1st game back from Katrina was for the Saints. He said he wanted to puke. (This guy's a Ravens fan BTW). Katrina and NO is one thing, but this is something else. The hype is in full force. Bear down!

Why is it when Cutler sucks, so much blame goes on the line. but when Forte has 100- 200 yards the line really gets no credit. Forte has had success with this line the last 3 years, is our line really that bad? Or,or, or could cutler be way overrated by many bear fans. The weakest or one of the supposably weakest lines in the nfl has a running back with more than 200 yards rushing in the 4th game is the problem?????????????.

I read this on cnnsi and thought it interesting: I'm wondering why, on goal-line plays, coaches don't occasionally defend big receivers like Johnson with a big receiver from their own team? Doesn't somebody like Dez Bryant have a better chance of beating Johnson on a "jump ball" pass?'' Roy Williams cant do jack on O....maybe they could use him on D. Because the Lions will have goal line attempts Monday night for sure.

first quarter report card on the bears by dan durkin... http://chicago.cbslocal.com/2011/10/05/dur...er-report-card/ i sure can't argue with much of it although i would have liked to see a report card on our coaching staff and front office. but then i guess there is just so much misery you can put in one story.

They mic'd Jay Cutler up during the Carolina Panthers game. Some good things to see him being vocal as a leader and a couple funny comments here and there. Good watch overall. http://www.chicitysports.com/2011/10/05/ja...panthers-10111/

  15. The way the rules favor QB's, and recievers, for more points, might be good for us if we committe ourselves to the run game. Since most defenses are preparing for this pass happy league in games and practice, we might have an advantage if we can keep running the ball like last week. Most teams might be more prepared for the pass than the run. So lets run at least 30 times against Detroit. Also on defense for us, I am liking the way we play in the red zone the last few years. It seems to me that many of the points scored on us come from outside of the red zone, once their O is in our red zone we see things better. I've said this before "sometimes I like it better when our…

    1. Forte! Fortisimo! What a game! ...need I say, pay the man. 2. Hester...YOU ARE RIDICULOUS! Almost 2 runbacks! Kudos for Mr. Hester sending his ball to canton and taking the all time record! What a joy it has been to watch you! 3. The D. Garbage today. Besides the great tip drill by Moore, the D played poorly. There was little pressure, when there was, Newton slipped away or got off a great pass. Only to deja vu all over again and see Steve Smith eat chunks of field like no tomorrow. Again. Marinelli's guys did not looks up to the game in all honesty. Mistakes abounded. Kudos to Newton. That kid can play football. 4. Martz still worr…
