I read this on cnnsi and thought it interesting: I'm wondering why, on goal-line plays, coaches don't occasionally defend big receivers like Johnson with a big receiver from their own team? Doesn't somebody like Dez Bryant have a better chance of beating Johnson on a "jump ball" pass?'' Roy Williams cant do jack on O....maybe they could use him on D. Because the Lions will have goal line attempts Monday night for sure.

The way the rules favor QB's, and recievers, for more points, might be good for us if we committe ourselves to the run game. Since most defenses are preparing for this pass happy league in games and practice, we might have an advantage if we can keep running the ball like last week. Most teams might be more prepared for the pass than the run. So lets run at least 30 times against Detroit. Also on defense for us, I am liking the way we play in the red zone the last few years. I was just on nfl.com and they had their can't miss plays of week 4 and Hester's record breaking return wasn't one of them And nothing with Forte also.

With 324 yards rushing and 310 receiving and the Bears having a total of 1231 net yards he is clearly the kingpin of this offense. The longer the team waits the more costly it will be for them to sign him. As he spoke to Waddle and Silvy on AM 1000 ESPN todfay he said that even though he is trying to play through it, that its a distraction. He says he wants to be with a team that appreciates what he does. I agree!!

Usually I am no fan of Theisman (I think he is way too full of himself) but this time I have to say he has some good points. In essence he is challenging Roy to actually play or move on.
