Well after a bunch of just awful special teams snaps, one of which in part lost us a field goal that would have the game tied at the end instead of a loss, the Bears cut/waived Rookie UDFA long snapper Beau Gardner, and brought back our long time long snapper Scott Daly, activating him to the 53 man roster today. Well deserved. Gardner is not ready for prime time. I do not know if they will resign him to the practice squad and keep developing him or not, but he might just as likely be just gone. I mean, they probably keep and develop him, but he is in no way ready to be an NFL long snapper. He's been awful both weeks.

Most were not expecting him back until December or January, but this was an interesting post in early October: With a Week 10 bye, it would be amazing if he could get back after the bye against NO in Week 11 on November 22nd. That is close enough to December from the original estimate, and the way Trapilo has returned early, Bryant would be a massive boost.

Let's say the Bears end up where they are at or slightly better in the draft. With all the clamor and hype for QBs this year, is there a player good enough for the Bears to stay where they are at? Convince me, and likely everyone else, why the Bears should stay where they are at. Because I don't see it. This is a 100% trade back kind of draft.

As this could help the Giants get a late win or two and possibly enhance Bears draft pick. We are likely to get a top 5 pick, but in a pretty tough spot since we will likely beat the Browns. Hard to do much better then 5 or so, unless we lose out. There are a lot of really bad teams.

They are having a hell of a year. Not sure if they can win a playoff game with Case Keenum but congrats on winning the NFC North. Peace

There is several teams that need cap space that have bloated contracts for some players. This is a list of potential releases, do we want any of them. Oakland- Michael Crabtree had a bad year, not all his fault but is due 8.25 and cutting him will save Oak 7.7 mil Ravens- Jerry Maclin had a bad year and is due 7.5 mil, they would save 5 mil by cutting him. I know we have Shaheen, but man, Gesicki is tearing it up: His last two seasons: 48-679, 14.1, 5 TDs 57-563, 9.9, 9 TDs That is some great production and he is 6'6" and 250 lbs, so he is not just a workout warrior. Would you consider him as an option if he is sitting there in the 4th?

According to Nagy, we're in a "good spot at LG" with Kush and Daniels but we just signed a guy who played for two years in KC but has otherwise bounced around the league. Is it me or does it appear the Bears are trying to figure out what life would be like without Jordan Howard on the team? I couldn’t help but notice that once Kyle Long went down with an injury the Bears didn’t elevate another Olman from the practice squad, instead they brought up RB Taquan Mizzel. And not only that but his playing time seems to be increasing, to include him starting in the last game. I somewhat agree with another’s observation that Howard looks like he’s lost interest. And Yes I get that Jordan is needed for games in inclement weather and the like but it doesn’t seem Nagy completely agrees with that notion.
