It was a fairly entertaining game until the ticky tack call that basically ended the game. It probably was the right call, but tough given the situation (not called earlier). However, the Eagles did that to themselves, their vaunted defense was terrible. Hurts fumbles against no contact and it ends up as a defensive TD. Crazy to think the Eagles offense outscored the Chiefs offense and lost. BTW, thanks for the 4th round pick for Quinn(#132). I was looking at some stats to see if there were other cases of QBs with similar stats to Fields after their second years, and surprisingly, there were actually quite a few and some that ended up very successful. Here is a screenshot of the output. 16 QBs qualified, since 1980, in their first two seasons, totaled less than 30 TDs, more than 20 INTs, Comp % under 60, and yards less than 5000.

He was released today by KC. Last year we offered him a contract but ended up back in KC. KC gave him a 2 year 10 mil contract last year. He had some injuries issues and only started 4 games. 2 years ago, he had 5.5 sacks and 36 Ts , 11 TFL, and 2 forced fumbles. since we had interest last year and he is only 28, I can see us going after him. What do you guys think.

I read a story on the first 10 WRs taken in the last 4 drafts,there is only 10 players that made an impact on there teams. Most were busts, with the court still out on some of them. With that much risk at the top end of the draft, I only see the Bears taken a receiver with the 1st pick if Crabtree or Macklin are there. Probably wont draft one till the 3rd or 4 th round.

I know he's questionable but haven't heard any gameday update yet.

Read in the Sun Times that our QBs are working out of the shotgun quite a bit. That is something we have VERY sparingly done in the past. I don't think Kreutz is a big fan of the shutgun, and w/ a slower runner like Benson, delays handoffs were never going to work. Now, w/ quicker/faster RBs in both Forte and KJ, it seems like we may be in a better position to use the shotgun now. Also, wasn't Orton a shutgun QB in college? In fact, wasn't one of the pre-draft knocks on him whether or not he could play under center? I think that its good that they honored him but I think it was a poor decision not to include Damien Nash. He died less than two months later so you would think the memorial should have been for both of them. The only reason why I can think of that they didnt was because Williams was murdered and Nash wasnt. I hope it wasnt because Williams was a better player and more well known.
