Last night on twitter greg cossell talked about 2 WRs that he likes according to what he sees on tape. Both have mid to late rd selection type grades currently Aaron Mellette, Elon - greg likes him for his size, great hands plus athleticism at 6'2" 217 lbs. Also has deceptive movement for a big. Check out his stats and they blow u away. I would love to look at this guy in the 4th Conner Vernon- Duke-- very good route runner w/ understanding of how to use vertical stem to breakdown cushion and separate. 1 concern is that he's a bit of a 1 speed receiver w/o much burst. But very good hands and great feel for subletives of route running. He's 6'0 196 lbs and …

Round 1: LB Arthur Brown - With Cooper off the board at 20. This is a no brainer Brown is a team leader and fantastic athlete Round 2: Trade Down late for a 3rd OT/G Kyle Long - Pedigree and all. I dont think he gets passed Philla in 2nd, but who knows Option 2: OT/GDallas Thomas - Very versatile can make our Left side top notch Round 3: C Brian Schwenke Impressed at Combine - 31reps Round 4: WR Kenny Stills Super speed and played for a winning school Round 5: LB Zavier Gooden Crazy speed 4.47 and reps 27. Great Athlete Round 6: CB Steve Williams Please Dont scrutinize the value of trades, just for shits and giggles

I was listening to ESPN Radio this morning and they were talking to McNutt about the whole draft process and how it felt to fall to the 24th pick in the 6th round when he was expected to go no later than the 4th round. Out of the entire piece, the only thing of interest was that he got a call from the Bears before their pick in the 6th round and they asked him why he thought he had fallen that far. I guess they did not like his answer since they picked Frey and he went 10 picks later to Philly. It was just interesting to hear about some other names the Bears contacted and didn't draft.

McNabb thought Bears would sign him Jan 20 1/20/2012 2:29:42 PM | More Donovan McNabb admitted Friday that he was expecting a call from the Chicago Bears after Jay Cutler went down with a fractured thumb on Nov. 20, but that call never came and the Bears lost five of their last six to miss the playoffs according to ESPNChicago. The Bears did put in a claim on Kyle Orton after he was released by the Denver Broncos, but the Kansas City Chiefs claimed Orton before he was available to the Bears. Meanwhile McNabb, a Chicago native who was released by the Minnesota Vikings on Dec. 1, watched Caleb Hanie lose four consecutive games for the Bears, who then tur…

So Trubisky starts and we run 6 straight times for 2x 3 and outs. What the hell is this? That was the game plan coming in? Why would they not have some scripted plays? I am so confused. So they use 6 offensive plays to see how Trubisky hands off? WTF

  8. A fun what if game. Their draft position is ridiculous this year. What would you do with their two first rounders and three second rounders? No trade downs allowed. It's odd because we have Trubisky, which eliminates QB. 1.1 - Quenton Nelson, OG, ND - Best pick that fits that early. 1.4 - Bradley Chubb, DE/OLB, NCST - Whichever position, there needs to be a Floyd counterpart. 2.33 - Brown/Williams/McGlinchey, OT - Whichever slips to the first pick of the second round. 2.35 - Courtland Sutton, WR, SMU - Who Kevin White should have been. 2.64 - Christian Kirk, WR, TXA&M - Let's solve this WR issue right TF now by doubling up with a guy nicknamed Baby …

Bears assistant's son is top Cover-2 corner prospect By Vaughn McClure The National Football Post did an interesting breakdown of this year's draft prospects. The player atop the list of Cover-2 corners stands out: Jarius Byrd of Oregon. He is the son of Gill Byrd, the Bears assistant defensive backs coach. The Bears are in the market for a cornerback, and Byrd -- who declared early -- seems to be an ideal fit. Byrd, a three-year starter, had 17 career interceptions, one off the school record. Nathan Vasher might not be in the mix next season and the Bears need another corner alongside Charles Tillman, who is recovering from shoulder surgery. Corey Graha…

It's likely going to be a wild offseason with draft rumors. Here we are fresh off the Senior Bowl with apparently two teams kicking the tires on a trade for #1. It appears Tenn was one of the teams. I say kicking the tires because at this point that's about all that is being done. If this is true, most likely the Titans GM just wants to know if Poles would be willing to drop back to #11. I'd say yes we are open to deals involving picks and players. I assume we'd want to include Jeffrey Simmons. Using Draftek.com trade chart: 1ST PICK = 3000pts 11 = 1250, 41 = 490, 72 = 230. for a tot = 1970. I don't know what Simmons would be considered in value bu…

There must be something brewing. http://www.chicagobears.com/team/depth-chart.html And let's be honest, none of the backups right now could play LT at a high enough level.

  14. They both came in for meetings but have not signed yet...... Are they waiting to see if they can get better deals? I really would like to see Royal sign. Rolle from what his stats look like last year can still be productive so I would be happy with him as well. Pot Roast from everything I have read is wanting too much money, hoping the Bears can make it work with him as it opens up what they can do draft day. Any word on Foster at LB??? With the signing of Pernell does that eliminate Brooks from consideration?

Bears WR Markus Wheaton will be sidelined 4-6 weeks with a torn groin. The Bears' supposed No. 2 receiver has been racked with injury since the early days of camp. He has one catch in three games. The team could opt to cut its 2017 losses and place Wheaton on injured reserve instead of waiting for him to get healthy. Limited to six games the past two years, Wheaton isn't much of a hold in Dynasty leagues. Source: Adam Jahns on Twitter Oct 12 - 5:49 PM

You can always find stats to support an opinion good or bad but the fact that the O-line gave up no sacks is a mirage. When you factor in that Forte on 16 carries could only gain 39 yards and aside from a couple of scrambles by Cutler, those 115 rush yards also are not what they appear to be.The Texans looked like they played some Cover 2 a lot and didn't blitz as much as they normally do.They were really concentrating on keeping the Bears from making a big play and almost every time the Bears took a shot down the field there was a safety over the top of whoever was targeted. Whenever there was one on one coverage the WR or TE dropped the ball or fumbled. Davis' mistakes r…

Depending on how things are viewed, from the starters and key rotational guys from last year, I think this is where we are at right now, based on filling holes by snap counts (top 20): Daniels > Patrick Peters > Jenkins Ogletree > Morrow Nichols > Jones Gipson > NEED SS Byrd > Pringle Robinson > NEED WR1 DHC > NEED S Ifedi > Borom Dalton > Foles Bush > NEED S/DB Goodwin > St. Brown Goldman > Tonga Mack > Gipson Hicks > Need DT Burns > NEED CB James > NEED TE3 Graham > NEED TE2 Grant > Evans? I imagine they pay it this time but if he doesn't show improvement next yr he is probably gone. http://www.suntimes.com/sports/football/be...earnt30.article Peace
