Pompei makes the argument that while Cutler has an incredible arm, he is also going to throw picks. In general, I agree w/ this. QBs w/ strong arms and aggressive instincts are simply put going to throw more picks. That is simply how it is. However, the idea is they will also throw more TDs, thus throwing (for example) one pick per game is not really that painful. What bothers me though is more in his reasoning than his argument in general. He makes the case that, to date, Cutler has played in 37 games and thrown a total of 37 interceptions. Roster moves: The Bears on Tuesday signed linebacker Darrell McClover and waived/injured guard Tyler Reed (knee) and tight end Fontel Mines (knee). McClover appeared in 22 games over the past three seasons with the Bears, registering 36 special teams tackles and two blocked punts. He recorded 14 stops while playing in the first 10 games last year before sustaining a season-ending hamstring injury. Reed joined the Bears in 2006 as a sixth-round pick and spent the past three seasons on the practice squad. Mines arrived as an undrafted free agent in 2007 and spent most of his two seasons with the Bears on the practice squad

Looking at some players that will make the PS this year I figure 2 to be a shoe in is Kinder and Knox. He showed flashes but Igeslias have shown more. So I figure the Bears will keep Rideau, DA, Hester, Bennet igeslias and Davis. But that only if Davis sticks, If released , look for Knox to make the roster. Any thoughts?

How do we gameplan for this week in Denver? I'm thinking the coaches throw Cutler a bone and cut loose some plays that allow him to succeed. I know Denver, it's fans and Orton are going to be jacked up for this game. It's unfortunate that this is not a regular season game, because all eyes are going to continue judging the trade. I have a feeling Hester is going to toast Champ Bailey at least once, as Hester and Cutler have missed some opportunities in the 1st 2 games.

This guy can't catch a break. Fourth time in four years he's had a season ending injury. Tore his right ACL this time. Poor kid. Dvoracek suffers forth straight seaon-ending injury

Orton: Now you can take this a number of ways, but it sure does seem like a shot at the Bears since that is the only "talent" he has ever been around.

1. I can't believe Soldier field is packed. There doesn't seem to be an empty seat. Unbelievable for a pre-season game. 2. Tonight our ST's is the weakest link. That's awesome. 3. DA & Riddeau appear to be our #3 & #4 receivers. 4. Forte was a monster but I'd have like to have seen Kevin Jones with the #1's. 5. We need to keep Rashied Davis at the bottom of our roster. I've said this all along: He's a great #5. 6. To hell with Basinez. We need to give Hanie as many reps as possible. I hope he finishes the game. Absolutely amazing what a real QB can do for a team.

Urlacher is doing a great job of getting to the ball carrier but he needs to start wrapping up instead of just bouncing off of the opponent.

Please advise when able!
