http://www.nfl.com/gamecenter?game_id=2960...=tab_gamecenter If you can handle the emotions again watch the video at that link. They say football is a game of inches but for a couple months now I've been thinking about what a difference 11 seconds can make for a team. If we won that game against Atlanta we would not have seen anywhere near as many changes as what we had this offseason. I believe that's for the best. If we win this game against Atlanta it's likely we: 1) Made the made the playoffs but lost in Rd 1. That would have been enough for JA and Lovie to sit tight and just tweak things a bit instead of the wholesale changes we had. 2) Do…

Okay, so yesterday was my anniversary and my gift was a trip to wherever to see the Bears play. I was thinking that I would love to go to Lambeau to see the Bears play the Packers but would have to get tickets at face value (otherwise I'll just get tickets to a game at Soldier field). Does anyone have any clue on a good method of getting Packer tickets?

Hey, news is hard to come by this time of year for NFL fans. I found this article on a blog of a Bears fan and found it a bit interesting. It goes over how the cover 2 defense is suppose to work. Nothing earth shattering. Still found it one of the better descriptions on how our defense is suppose to work. Tampa 2, Cover 2; What do the Bears do?

  11. From the National Football Post: Diner morning news: How Titans, Bears will adjust by Michael Lombardi TGIF, everyone. The big free-agent signing in the offseason was Albert Haynesworth by the Redskins, and the big trade was the Bears’ deal to get Jay Cutler. Let’s look at those moves from a slightly different point of view — from what’s left for Tennessee and what can be expected from the Bears. ... Ron Turner, Chicago Bears Turner is in a unique position because rarely does a team trade for a young quarterback who has a proven history on the field. He’s like a race car driver who is able to jump in a car in the middle of a race. Coaches often…

  13. Per Rotoworld, Kansas City has agreed to terms with Mike Brown. I'll be sorry to see him in a different uniform, but I hope he has success in K.C. With a very, very young group on defense, Kansas City could benefit a ton from a leader like Brown in the locker room.

  14. Bears | Cutler has spoken with Marshall Comment (0) Tue, 23 Jun 2009 07:56:25 -0700 Marty O'Brien, of The Newport News Daily Press, reports Chicago Bears QB Jay Cutler said he has spoken with disgruntled Denver Broncos WR Brandon Marshall and would not have a problem reuniting with Marshall if the Bears were able to land him. "I talked to 'B' a few days ago. Just checking in on him and seeing how he's doing, because I went through a similar thing that he's going through," Cutler said. "I played with Brandon for three years and I think he's one of the best receivers in the NFL. I think he can be one of the greatest ever to play. He's big and fast, and can do e…

  16. Former players rave about Bears line coach Rod Marinelli I've read posts before from former players who were taught by Marinelli, but this one expands on it with even a quote from Ron Rivera. I can't wait to see how our D Line plays this year. If they produce like I think they are going to, Lovie's defense is going to be a top 5 defense and our team will rock and roll!

As of now its looking like 3 leagues. 2 free and one $20. Im thinking one free league with scoring like last year and one regular flex and we can vote on rules for pay league. Anyone interested let me know what leagues you want in. Pay leaguers, let me know if anyone is up for a $100 league as well.

We've begun our server move. The move is taking us from our current dedicated server to a bigger one with double the ram and a bit larger processor. Today we upgraded the site to version 2.6 of Invision, which is the latest version workable on our current server, but we are upgrading to the newest database software on our new server set-up which will enable us to move up to Version 3.x which is the latest and greatest. It allows for faster indexing which will be very beneficial as the sites database continues to grow. There will be a 24hr or so outage though and I'll try to give as much of a heads up as I can. Basically put the site should fly more and we sh…

Looked at this comparison in another thead, and just love the comparison. Looking at our roster compared to SDs (offense) I think this is a team we could use as a measuring stick. Rivers - 4,000 yards and 34 TDs. I see no reason to believe Cutler isn't just as good as Rivers, and has shown the ability to put up similar numbers. Gates - Their top receiver is not a WR, but a TE. I am not saying Olsen will be equal to Gates overall, but Gates numbers last year (60-700-8) are not on a level I think out of Olsen's reach. 5 more catches. 125 more yards and 3 more TDs. I think that is reasonable. Vincent Jackson - Easily their #1 WR, putting up 59-1,100-7.…
