I expect the Bears to make a huge turnaround this year. Worse to first? Probably not. But they are going to be a first class contender. BETCHA! With that in mind, Poles' asst. GM, Ian Cunningham, will have a lot of suitors as a GM. Young, Great Resume, Checks all of the boxes teams will be looking for in a progressive GM. This leads me to bring up the new NFL incentive launched last year. So if I'm correct that would give us 2 additional 3rd round picks for Poles to use in his rebuild.

  4. Really like the Pringle pickup. He is big, fast and ascending. Had a long path he took to the NFL but Poles is really familiar with him. He also can return kick-offs. 1yr 4M (2M in incentives). Additionally - St. Brown didn't do a lot with the Packers, but he was behind a lot of people on the depth chart. I will note he is big and fast but reality is he is probably like some of the other fast guys (Goodwin/Byrd) who were scrubs last year. I really want one of Landry/Juju (or Robert Woods) plus a draft pick (or two).

If he drops, Jalen Carter is the prize as a 3 T. Other options: Lucas Van Ness Calijah Kancey Bryan Bresee. Watch a lot of tape , he consistently gets in the backfield A Adebawore Keion White Tuli Tuipulotu Keeanu Benson. Not perfect but would give you more than Justin Jones Zach Harrison has the size and speed to do it, not the fit Zach Pickens more of a rotational guy but could fill in Isaiah McGuire. More of a rotational guy not idea Byron Young/Ala. Could be a sleeper Moro Ojomo could be a sleeper

I will be in Chicago this weekend and have tickets. However, I may not be able to go. Would anyone like to buy my tickets if I can't go? They are nosebleed seats. Section 433, row 18, seats 1&2.

I seen someone on bleacher report suggest the bears trade for vic Beasley for a 3rd round pick this year? I would say no, it would hamper Floyd's breakout year.

While the Panthers could opt to use their franchise tag to keep Williams if no new deal is reached after next season, they probably couldn't franchise…

So looking at cap space and draft capital this offseason. The Bears are in such a rare position, it may be almost unprecedented. The team has the #1 pick, potentially a second top 10 pick, and over $60M in cap space. Right now, there are 8 teams who are already over the cap with their 2024 contracts. The Saints are in one of the worst positions I have seen a team in, in a long time. They are going to have to make post-June 1 cuts just to field a team and sign their rookies. These teams have no chance of signing anything but vet minimum deals: Saints - $87M over the cap/ 43 players Bills - $43M over the cap/ 44 players Dolphins - $41M over the cap/ 37 pla…

After reading Brad Briggs, he lives Bears football he states our cap to be 10.9 We cut spaeth,Davis, Hester, Mannley and that gives us 8.2 mill to add to the pie. Adam suggested some of the bottom of the roster guys can give us another 2 mil. (since we replace those players with the ones we sign) Lets say we reconstruct a few contracts to give us another 2.7 mil. So our total comes to 21.8 mil. drop the 5 million for the rookie pool. We resign Melton-6 mil applies to 2013. We resign Roach- 2.5 mil applies to 2013 We resign Louis- 2.0 mil. for the 2013 season we resign DJ Moore - 1 mil for the season We sign UFAs Will Beatty/LT 4.5 mill for the …

Every year QBs go down and teams scramble for a QB that can take their place because they do not feel they have a good enough backup in place. I am very comfortable with both backups we have. If a team goes hunting for a emergency QB because of injuries to their starter, the Bears would be in a great position as I feel they could actually get a decent draft choice for Campbell, possibly a 3rd rounder, if a team was hurting and needed a QB with promise and starting experience to come in. Just a thought, and although I hope we keep him as an insurance policy, you never know!!!

Honestly, I had never heard of ESPN Chicago until recently, when it was reported that ESPN Chicago was so successful that they were branching out into new markets, including here in Dallas. That was the first I heard of it, and frankly, even then forgot about it. Then I am reading ESPN and Clayton's stuff about the Bears camp, and saw the link for ESPN Chicago. There are some nice articles in there I had not seen before (Olsen & Gilbert), as well as a camp "tweeter", which is where I heard Harrison would return to practice today. Anyway, for those who have never been to the site, http://espn.go.com/chicago/

Taylor says he didn't demand to be the starter in Chicago Posted by Mike Florio on March 5, 2010 5:36 PM ET Running back Chester Taylor, who jumped Friday from the Vikings to the Bears, told Sean Jensen of the Chicago Sun-Times that the veteran didn't condition his decision on being the starter. "I didn't come here like that," Taylor said. "[Matt Forte's] a great player. I'll come in with the mindset that we're teammates, but we'll compete." Right, but Taylor contract suggests that he's the top man on the totem pole, and that Forte is now the secondary player. Regardless of who's No. 1 or No. 2, Taylor realizes the importance of spreading the load. "…
