  1. Started by Connorbear,

Miller and Gonzalez had huge games today. If I was Emery, the first move I would make after hiring the new coach would be to cut Kellen Davis. Peace

Walterfootball is putting up lists of players who interview with certain teams at the E-W Shrine Game as well as at other draftee workouts in the future. I'll add to the list when I see them added, if admins want to pin this. Gonna be an interesting week. I don't think I want Bevell as the Bears next Head coach, I am tired of exViking castoffs being on the Bears coaching staff. GM Emery has his 3 finalists for Bears coaching job Bevell, Arians or Trestman could be selected as soon as Wednesday After crisscrossing the country for two weeks, Bears general manager Phil Emery has moved to a final round of interviews in search of the franchise's next head coach. Seahawks offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell has a second interview scheduled Tuesday, and Colts offensive coordinator Bruce Arians and Montreal Alouettes head coach Marc Trestman are also in the mix, according to mult…

Ever since Jimmy Johnson leaked the name Marc Trestman, I've been watching every highlight I could from his time in Canada. And I'm sure of the following statement: The majority of this board will be upset. Why? To make this offense work, either he'll have draft a ton of OL OR He's going to have a very unbalanced, semi-productive offense that relies on a lot of deep drops, has minimal rushing, and will get the QB drilled Judging from history, either scenario is going to make most of this board unhappy.

Hey all, Been a long time since I last posted, but I am on the site daily. My 2 cents regarding the hire (first reaction - I will have more later): First of all, I am indeed a fan of the Allouettes (Being born and raised in Montreal), but I would trade 100 consecutive Grey Cups (and throw in some Cups for the Habs) for one Superbowl ring. A few notes on Da new coach - When he joined the CFL, he wanted to prove he could be a head coach. He "lingered" in the NFL as OC, QB coach etc, but wasn’t inline for a legit shot at the main job. He easily could have stayed on it the NFL, and made a ton more money, but chose to go to the CFL to prove he can be th…

We are OK with the DC This is truly the most exciting off-season in a long time. I welcome all this change with open arms and a full glass of Lagavulin! Cheers! Bear down!

The entire week after Lovie got fired, the media shoved our 10-6 record up our keesters. Saying how bad it was to get rid of Lovie. Heck, even Da' Coach chimed in with his displeasure. Then, they ripped our incompetance in the form of Emery having 13 candidates for HC. Now, Emery strikes fast with his decision and we become 2nd page news to Chip Kelly to the Eagles. Listen to real NFL people say how great a move it was to hire Trestman. To finish my rant, where the heck is Lovie going to be HC? Eight openings and he's not a finalist for anything. F#%$ you media!

I talked to my friend today, as I thanked him for the Trestman information. He let me in on another thing: expect them to hire Pat Meyer, who is the OL/Running Game Coordinator at Colorado State. There hasn't been a title given yet but expect him to be a RB coach or maybe the OL coach even. Sometime in December, he was hired by the Alouettes.
