Found this on the web and thought I'd post it here. https://www.chicagoaudible.com/four-players-pagano-chicago/ I don't think Lynch will be back, and certainly not at $4mil/yr. That leaves the option of bringing back Acho and letting Irving or Fitts step into a more active role. They could let Acho go and bring in someone like John Simon to take Lynch's spot while letting young guys get more snaps. That would save about $1mil.

I have no way of knowing if Nagy will be replaced as HC. I've given up trying to figure out what the 'brain trust' of the Bears are going to do. Below is a link to an article just posted to NFL.com giving a brief description of thirteen possible candidates for HC positions that might open up after this season, as well as a lengthy list of those to keep an eye on in the near future. I found it interesting. Nathaniel Hackett, Byron Leftwich, Patrick Graham among young NFL coaches to watch

In a move that is polar opposite from what the staff with the Bears do with holdouts, the Giants immediately put their star DE back with the first team when he was cleared to play and announced he would practice under the terms of his current contract. I wonder if maybe he will use the upcoming game against the Bears to solidfy his case for a new deal. The game in the Meadowlands last season should have been on his personal highlight film for 2010.

  6. LAKE FOREST, Ill. – Chicago Bears return specialist Devin Hester spent a portion of Wednesday’s practice going through individual drills with members of the secondary, and even received one-on-one instruction from defensive backs coach Jon Hoke at the conclusion of the workout. But does this mean Hester, a former collegiate and NFL cornerback, is a candidate to line up on the defensive side of the ball Sunday in St. Louis? “He’ll jump into (the drills) from time to time and get a little work in,” Bears defensive coordinator Mel Tucker said. “But there is really no news there. I’m not in the conversation business.” Hester started games at cornerback and n…

Have to find a way to beat them. I am assuming that Ratliff and Briggs will not play so the defense needs to do something. I think we need to score at least 28 points to win and hopefully hold them to field goals. Peace

http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/break...story?track=rss I've been talking about this for awhile now, and it's nice to see that there's a good chance it happens. He signed a 5M contract last year after putting up 9 sacks, this year he's less productive because he's apart of a deep Seahawk defense that rotates 4 DEs, I can imagine the Bears can get him for that same amount per year on a multi year deal.

I was one of the people complaining about not resigning Cam but Pace was right not to. He has missed several games because of injuries and now goes on IR. Pace has made a lot of mistakes along the way, but has also did some good things, he made the right call on this player.

Well, it looks we will try out another kicker in the preseason. What a name for a kicker! Bears add a new name to kicker competition — and it's an interesting one

He's still rumored to be available and after the Tim Jernigan trade there is speculation that he would cost a mid-round pick. He's had issues in the past and is in the last year of his deal, but the Bears have plenty of cap room to absorb his deal and even extend him. He would make the line potentially scary. What about #3 to the Jets for #6 and Richardson? The Bears wouldn't need Allen/Thomas anyway and at #6 could still go QB/Adams/Hooker.

Browns Release Pryor I know many people here had interest in him at draft time. Is he worth a look? Is Jackson enough promise to not think about it? In my opinion, we have had such a hole at that position that you could never have enough competition. However, this guy couldnt stick with the Jets and Browns so that is a glaring sign haha

Every year, Mike Mayock releases his top 5 lists of the top 5 prospects at each position. This year, he has interesting ones, like Barrett Jones as the #3 C, behind Schwenke and Frederick. http://m.nfl.com/news/0ap1000000139744/
