Schefter reports William Beatty has signed a 5 year deal to stay in NYG. There goes one of the better LT free agents.

I have watched the Bears over the years recently pretty much ignore the OL and since drafting Orton really not address a QB to develop. LeFevre(sp?) and Enderle aside, this team needs to do better than Campbell,McCown,Collins and Haney. I would like to see them use one of the 5 picks they currently have on a QB to develop. Why,because with a new coach considered a QB guru and Cutler entering the last year of his contract you have to protect yourself in case this staff doesn't feel Cutler is the one to lead this team.

I read where with the money due Lewis this off season, he might be released. Any takers? I think his production wasnt great because of poor QBacking.

I listen to the Score all day and some one brought up that Emery comes from the Scott Piola tree and he is very secretive about who he drafts. So pretty much if they mention a players name, we aint drafting him. Last year as an example I didnt hear any of our draft picks as remoting being drafted by us. So I guess Te'o off the list, I heard his name mentioned.

Make sure you look at #70 around the 5:14 mark...how many lineman do that?? Watch #78 step up in level of play...did ok

Did the Bears pay too much? I read this tidbit from Sun Times and have a bit of confusion within me: What was the actual cost of the Cutler trade with Denver? The Broncos drafted defensive end Robert Ayers with the Bears’ first-round pick in 2009 (18th overall). The 49ers acquired the 2010 first-round pick from the Broncos and drafted offensive tackle Anthony Davis with 11th overall pick. And the swap of third/fifth round picks turned into a trade of wide receivers — Mike Wallace (by the Steelers in the third round) for Johnny Knox (by the Bears in the fifth round). Trading for Cutler certainly changed the course of the franchise, and there is no guarantee…

I would like to hear some thoughts on drafting him with our pick in Rd 2? One of the mocks on Walterfootball has us taking him there. There's not a lot of game tape on him but he seems to have the athletic skills you need at OT. We need to be talking about the 2nd Rd OTs because if we go best available in Rd 1 as Emery and Trestman said they want to do, then this is a realistic possibility. Also in this area is Terron Armstead who opened some eyes with his faster than Te'o 4.71 forty.
