I think we all remember those "One city. One goal" ads last year the Bears put out. Well, I'm not sure if this is going to be a real one, but I found it searching photobucket and I thought it was neat, so here ya go.

At 6 CT on NFL Network, they will announce the schedules for the 2008 season. I'm going to guess we have night games against GB, one MIN game, the PIT game, the ARZ game, the BAL game, and maybe the SEA game.

Now that we have Cutler and a few Oline players what do we need? Well I for one think that we need a big fast WR to throw to, someone in the mold of Burress. Not necessariliary Burress himself but maybe a guy like Kelly, Robiske in the draft to take some heat off of Hester. Cutler said that he is going to make Bennett better this year since they have played together and Williams will be blocking for him also. But what I really want to see is Turner throwing out his old playbook and get a grip to what his team can really do, and make plays for those down and distance calls. Down and distance you ask well check this and see if this can fit with what you think how an offense…

http://espn.go.com/chicago/columns/blog?name=dickerson Leading up to the draft, Jeff revisits Jerry Angelo's hits and misses as Bears GM. April 18, 2009, 10:25 PM By: Jeff Dickerson US Presswire We are officially a week away from the NFL draft. Now that you're up to speed on many of the prospects, let's focus on Jerry Angelo's draft history with the Bears. We assume safety will be addressed next weekend. Don't be surprised if the Bears double dip at that spot, selecting one early, and one late. Angelo's track-record at the position says it all: 2002: Round 5 -- Bobby Gray, La. Tech 2003: Round 4 -- Todd Johnson, Florida 2005:…

This weekend, I played GM for the Bears in an online 7 round mock draft. Here's what we ended up with: 2) Rashad Johnson, S, Alabama - With Robiskie gone, this was a pretty easy decision, as I didn't want to reach for Iglesias or Massaquoi. 3) Brandon Tate, WR, North Carolina - A bit of an injury risk, but the best potential of any WR left, although I considered Jarret Dillard as well. 4) Henry Melton, DE, Texas - A guy the Bears appear to like a lot with the speed they are looking for off the end. 5a) Gerald McRath, LB, Southern Miss - Not on my radar really, but the highest rated player on the board for me with the versatility and speed at LB the Be…

Demitrius Byrd from LSU. Man, it seems like something like this happens every couple years I remember when Dennis Weathersby from Oregon Stae was shot like 3 days before the draft. Hope to see him recover. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/draft09/news/story?id=4083554

Refrigerator’ Perry hospitalized in S. Carolina CHICAGO (AP)—Former Chicago Bears defensive lineman William “The Refrigerator” Perry is in serious condition at a South Carolina hospital, a spokeswoman said Tuesday. Perry, 46, was hospitalized to deal with complications from Guillain-Barre Syndrome, a chronic inflammation disorder of the peripheral nerves, the Chicago Sun-Times and Chicago Tribune reported. Aiken Regional Medical Center spokeswoman Melissa Summer declined to give additional details Tuesday. Perry’s nephew, Purnell Perry, told the Sun-Times his uncle was admitted more than a week ago but was expected to recover. “They were making su…

So I've tried to put together one last mock, using (for the most part) players the Bears have been linked to in the past few weeks. I used CBS Sports' rankings as a rough guide for where each prospect will be available, and I've linked each guy to his profile on their site, except for Mike Mitchell, who doesn't have one. All right, enough said, here's what I'd like to see on draft weekend: 2.49) Juaquin Iglesias - WR - Oklahoma Simply catches everything thrown to him. Hands are almost on par with Robiskie/Nicks. Fast enough to get separation, but still goes 6'1" 210 lbs. Projects well to either a #2 or slot receiver, giving the Bears some flexibility if Bennet…

I know a lot of people on here didn't like Lance, but Lance was a total stud for the Bears for a long time and was an all time fav of mine to watch. Wish he could have went out on his own terms but I'm glad he'll be covering the Bears!!! Lance, you are one of the all time great Bears and I thank you for playing the way you did on the field and for how you contributed to some extremely special defenses.

Offense: Plays from scrimmage - 71 (3rd) Yards - 402 (5th) Yards/Play - 5.7 (6th) 1st/G - 25 (2nd) 3rd Down Made - 11 (1st) 3rd Down % - 65% (1st) 4th Down Made - 2 (1st) TOP - 31:52 (10th) Rush Att - 33 (5th) Rushing Yards - 189 (1st) YPC - 5.7 (1st) Defense: Yards - 322 (6th) So by the numbers, it really wasn't a bad game. The goal line turnover on downs was the turning point for me. The Packers just had a 10 minute drive for a TD, and then we drive down 78 yards in 3 minutes looking to tie the game and we don't score. We were so good on the ground that it is hard to believe we would pass 3 consecutive times from the 2. For next…

A little surprised that they went with a new guy as apposed to just bringing up Dunn or Williams. Edwards was a backup on a talented LSU team (that featured Ego) but the scouting reports I read say he has NFL talent. Has those long 35"+ arms that I remember reading Fangio likes. Nothing to get too excited about. Probably goes down when Ratliff comes back.

http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...0922-story.html “So with Kyle, I just need him to -- he has to be a true professional, and he has to be a true studier of film. And more importantly, he has to play with his strengths. If you’re going to press a guy, you have to make sure you put your hands on a guy. You can’t line up in front of a guy and then not disrupt him whatsoever.” --------------------------------------------------- Rare to hear such straightforward talk. Perhaps a little too much success early last year before he tailed off later in the season, then perhaps too much confidence in those positive things the new coaches said shortly after …

Watching in the bar again so it's hard to pick up on some of the details on how guys played. Here's some thoughts on the KC game: Offense Oline: Forte managed to run for 3.9ypc behind a rookie center and 7th Rd pick Leno while going against a stacked box all game long with no credible deep threat on the outside. There was nothing spectacular in the run game but it was effective enough. On the edges Kyle Long and Leno shutout Hali and Houston from getting any sacks. The line often had help from Cutler who was elusive in the pocket but he also had places to move to on most plays. It seems to me that when the QB has space to move around it's a credit to the bloc…
