With all the criticize Pace has gotten lately, I still think he has given us our core for the future. Although his first round picks have had questions due to injuries, he has drafted well outside of that round. Here is my list of who I think our core will be going forward. Everyone has heard opinions on our upcoming quarterback battle. While all opinions are valid, some resonate better than others. Apparently we are making a trade for 29 yo IOL Journeyman Dan Feeney from the Dolphins. He's played OC and OG in San Diego, and then was a primary backup for the Jets. He's probably better than what we have at OC, and backup OG after Davis and Jenkins. He played every game the past two seasons for the Jets (while starting only 5 and 2 games), but started every game but one from 2017 thru 2020 for the Chargers. It looks like we are going to get Brock Osweiler on Sunday. He led the Broncos on some late garbage time scoring drives, but otherwise he didn't look that good against KC either (58% comp, 1 INT, 3 sacks). Hopefully our internal knowledge of his tendencies will allow us to put in a great game plan against them next week. This is a huge game for Fox and I hope all our player step up for him and show Elway he was dumb to let Fox and Gase go. They also may be without TJ Ward who may be suspended (since he was ejected in the KC game for punch Maclin).

Watching some Notre Dame and Stanford football and the draft hit my mind. With our resources limited the next year or two with higher picks, do you see the Bears trying to extend or re-sign Massie at RT? I know a few, like myself would live to see us draft a long term solution, but Massie could buy us a couple years and keep continuity. We have a nice developmental project in Cowherd (sp) also. Thoughts?

Fields gets the start with the starting O-Line. We will see how they hold up and will get to see how Peters looks at full speed. Mostly backend roster and bubble players tonight. I would like to see better tackling and better special teams play overall. Go Bears!
