played some offensive snaps at the end of the game. He almost got Grossman killed but at least he is getting reps. Peace

Lovie had stolen all the credit for the defense being dominant the past few years, when really the mastermind was Rivera. These past two seasons with lovies "right hand man" Babich we have been aweful on defense. HMM, well we were a top 5 defense with rivera, but lovie fires him and gives the job to someone who did jack shit to earn the job other then kiss lovie's cover 2 ass. Babich needs to go, and if lovie says one word, he should be shit canned as well. Personally, I'm for kicking lovie to the curb and calling chico in for the job he rightfully should have been handed a few years back. Chico was the man for the job and lovie took the credit for it, and it's obvio…

    1. Duke Robison, OG, Oklahoma ---we need to get younger on the OL, best OG to come out of school in quite some time, fierce run blocker, good pass blocker 2. Auston English, DE, Oklahoma ---face it, our pass rush has been brutal, and English is a guy who never quits 3. Nic Harris, S, Oklahoma ---okay I didn't notice I just have them taking 3 straight Oklahoma guy, but Harris is a big guy (6'3, 230) and he can be tutored by Brown if we re-sign him for a year. He isn't the fastest guy but he's a big hitter and has a nose for the ball 3 (C4B). Vance Walker, DE/DT, Georgia Tech ---this may not be popular, but Walker can play DT if Dusty and Tommie continue to st…

Kyle Orton announced after practice Friday that he will be probable for Sunday's game at Green Bay, meaning the Bears' quarterback will return to the starting lineup after missing one game with a right ankle injury. Orton worked with the first team again in the short practice at Halas Hall and will test out the ankle again Saturday in a brief walk-through before the team travels by bus to Green Bay. "Kyle looked better today than he did [Thursday],'' coach Lovie Smith said. ``So we're keeping our fingers crossed with him. See how it goes for him [saturday], but he's gotten better each day, there's no reason to think that won't continue [through] Sunday.'' …

That got your attention! But in fact, I'm not here to defend Grossman, even with his lack of reps and playing a great D we should expect well more from him than we got. He sucked today. But that topic is pretty cut and dry so why bother. What I instead want to bring up is our WR's continually not adjusting. Possibly the worst case was the Devin Hester bomb, beat his man, turned around to look for the ball, and promptly slowed down to 80% speed while watching Rex's ball land where he should have been. Man, if your name is Devin "freaking" Hester, slowing down on a post route cut is absolutely inexcusable. Even with Rex stinking it up, that one silly play would…

My opinion - see if this guy can straighten out. He now has a 7 game tryout. If not, no loss. http://www.suntimes.com/sports/football/be...mully12.article Peace

OK, what we're seeing on this team is what many of us have been prognosticating for a while now. 1. Rex is not as good as Orton. But I don't fault him for the loss yesterday. He can only do what he can. This staff should have seen that floor and made moves accordingly running the ball more and taking the ball out of Rex's hands. 2. To say our D is piss poor, isn't fair to piss. I'll get into details, but the bottom line is this defense is awful. We're like the Pat's in SBXX. Doing everything we can to stop the run...at all costs. Thus, giving any QB we face everything they want. Time, options, birthday gifts, Christmas cards, free gasoline... 3.…

INJURY REPORT AND IMPLICATIONS Chicago Bears (5-4) at Green Bay Packers (4-5) By Michael Nudo The loss of Nick Barnett will likely force A.J. Hawk to the middle (AP Photo/Mark Humphrey). BEARS OFFENSEcolor> vs. PACKERS DEFENSEcolor> Quarterback Kyle Orton (ankle) is hoping to return after missing last week’s match with the Titans. Rex Grossman started against the Titans. Grossman struggled with his accuracy throughout the contest. Orton returned to practice this week and the signs are looking good for him to play. Wide receiver Brandon Lloyd has missed over a month with a knee injury. He returned to full participation in practice last week and is …

A nice look at Urlacher playing the run. This is worth watching considering all the talk about keeping our LB so close the LOS on so many plays. http://www.chicagobears.com/multimedia/mul...clip=Y&rn=2

Noots’ Notes-Game 9: 21-14 Loss to Tennessee By Michael Nudo The Bears (5-4) fell to the Titans at Soldier Field 21-14 to keep Tennessee undefeated. After the Bears took their opening drive for a touchdown, the Titans responded with 21 unanswered points before the Bears scored again in the fourth quarter. Another game, another 7 on 7 drill by an opposing quarterback (AP Photo/David Banks). OFFENSE Quarterback With Kyle Orton sidelined by an ankle injury, the Bears turned to Rex Grossman (20-37-173, TD, INT, 1/1 TD). Although he led the team on a touchdown drive to open the Bears’ possessions, he was downright brutal for most of the rest of play. H…

After the game, I heard Rex say about how the offense was put into a hole with such bad field position consistently. Well, according to Larry Meyer, that is no excuse.. Thoughts?

IMHO we are a product of our own coaches! Head coach= good person but soft as a coach. DC,OC and some position coaches are the same. If you look at our games...how many times do you see Hester getting chewed out for a stupid play. Not just Hester but the whole team! I have watch a few games with the help of some of this very supportive board members and have seen no fire, no desire nothing. Well not everyone of the Bears are soft, Briggs, Forte, Payne to name a few and others are doing their jobs. But you have to wonder where is Brown with the fire and hits, Urlacher is blocked all the time, Harris is well just holding the line, our corners Tillman & Vasher seam like…

  20. Something just hit me. Maybe Lovie really isn't involved alot in the defensive plays during the game and he's just defending his friend Babich? You rarely ever see him talk during games so I think maybe he should take over next week with the defensive play calling to give the team a boost. What say you guys?
