I’m sure you can find his comments but his overall grade was a B. His biggest concern was we didn’t get an Edge. A concern we all share.

Pro Football RumorsBears Restructure Contracts Of TE Cole Kmet, OL Jonah Jac...The Bears restructured a few contracts last week to ensure they have financial flexibility during the draft.

Couldnt find the original Logan Jones thread, so here's a new one. Found this. Love this guy. https://x.com/CFCBears/status/2012736330216718445

Bradbury had reached the point where he’s not helping the offense. Too many penalties and he’s not good blocking. Just put the rookie out there. We might still get some mistakes but we’ll also get better blocking.

Makes sense I guess now that they lose out on a good safety and Julius Peppers was released.

Our top 3 signings were all seen as "+0.5: Common sense shines through" Lamarr Houston (DE) to Bears: 5-year, $35m with $15m guaranteed The Bears’ defense needed help and in Houston they have added a versatile and productive defensive lineman in the hope of reinvigorating a unit that struggled in 2013. Houston’s top quality run defense (+14.9 in 2013) will be a welcome boost though he isn’t quite the top-drawer pass rusher that they might be hoping for. That, however, is reflected in his price tag and he will be a solid and productive contributor so long as the Bears don’t expect him to turn around their pass rush single-handedly. If deployed correctly this has the…

Does anybody have an idea where Bowling has been and Brian Bear. I dont always agree with those guys but enjoy there input on this blog.

Now that the Niners have 6 of the top 100, I suspect they will be open to wheeling and dealing in this years draft. Will definitely be interesting to see if the Bears will be involved. http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-shutdown...ml?soc_src=copy

I was listening to a radio show this morning where they talked about the concept of going for the Best Athlete Available instead of necessarily the BPA. They were speaking about the "you can't teach height/weight/speed/etc." stuff, and said that instincts could be taught through repetition. What can't be taught, however, is a 4.4 forty when a guy has maxed out at 4.65 or something like that. You might be able to shave some time here and there, but ultimately that's his speed. A draft that followed the BAA theory kind of goes with what Emery talked about last year in regards to Long. 1. Aaron Donald, DT, Pitt - He fits the concept. A DT faster than some of…

I'm not going off any mocks here just throwing out my ideal mock that seems plausible.... 1R- Aaron Donald- I'm kinda gravitating to the whole S first round thing, but ideally, in my book, they get the most disruptive player in the draft to pair with our shiny new DEs. 2R- Deone Bucannon- I've been a Mundy supporter, but he's not making that much so he won't hurt as quality depth. Versatile enough to play FS as well. 3R- Caraun Reid- I'm calling him as my "WTF pick". May be seen as a bit of a reach, but he looked really good at the Senior Bowl and we're interested. 4R- Stanley Jean Baptiste- Phil has talked about looking at CBs to convert to S, and I t…

Does it work? I'm on a Mac and it says it's not compatible. I can bust out my PC laptop if necessary.

I think we all can look at the team and see many areas with loads of optimism. So what is our weakness? I think if Briggs isnt up to par, we could have issues at LB. The improved front will help a lot, and that will make the back end better, but the LBers will be most responsible for stopping the run. A lot of question marks at that position, so hope it turns out good.

Now at first most say this is only Fantasy Football, but on the other hand, there is some correlation between stats and points. The Bears offense positions finished no worse than #12 at TE, and Defense comes in at a respectable #14. By position: Cutler - 11th Forte - 5th Marshall - 5th Jeffery - 7th Bennett - 12th Gould - 10th Bears Def - 14th Forte, Marshall, and Jeffery all made the Top 20 overall as well. If Forte, Marshall, and Jeffery finish in the top 10 of their positions, Cutler is easily a top 10 QB. http://sports.yahoo.com/news/2014-fantasy-...-204748821.html

This is going to be a fun and exciting season! I'm fired up for football and its only July!!!

Does anyone have a ticket connection? I'm looking for 2 tickets to the Niners Bears game. I don't want to pay an arm and a leg and have hoped to get lucky on the individual game sale for San Fran but being the first game in the new stadium, obviously high demand. Am crossing my fingers someone somehow has a Niner connection (or a real good Bear connection) to get tickets at or near face.

Happy birthday to the greatest football player of all time!
