It looks like Kwesi is quietly going into tank mode. They shed Thielen, Kendricks, Peterson, Z. Smith, and Cook, but kept Cousins. They drafted Addison in the 1st, who will just replace Thielen's production, so there is no real gain there. They signed Murphy at CB and Davenport at Edge, but at most those are a push, if not a downgrade from Smith (sacks leader) and Peterson. With Cook gone, their RB room is Mattison, rookie Dwayne McBride, Ty Chandler, and Kene Nwangwu. That may be the worst RB room in the NFL. Per Vaughn McClure's twitter, VJax and Avril were our top 2 targets, but Avril is tagged. I don't put a ton of stock in this, as I really don't think Emery is leaking things yet. There was another suggestion from one of McClure's earlier tweets than the info might have come from a player, which would make it seem like it's just speculation. But hey, it's a juicy rumor!

I seen an article that we brought him in town at the last minute. He is Vinston Painter a OT out of VT. We like him at OG. He is very athletic, and with the new scheme on the OL the athletic guard fits it better. James Brown, Garza, not so much Slauson and Carmi. He is said to be around a 4th rounder and not many teams worked him out. He needs to learn more, good upside, and not well known.

The first big play that Von Miller made was reminiscent of Richard Dent in SB 20. When he was drafted he was picked number 2 overall behind the guy he pressured repeatedly on Sunday. This is the type of pass rusher that all 3/4 teams will be looking for and the type the Bears should be looking for. The Denver linebackers reminded me of the New Orleans Saints LBs lead by Sam Mills,Vaughn Johnson, Pat Swilling and Ricky Jackson. This is the LB crew that they are similar to imo. This offseason we need to acquire a player that is going to wreck havoc like Von Miller, Pat Swiilling and Rickey Jackson.
