Hroniss Grasu is now signed, making the Chicago Bears the first team again to get all draft picks under contract. Grasu signed earlier Friday and will compete for the starting Center spot. Great to get this done, Grasu can start taking the reins as he did in Oregon in leading the oline. Kyle Long and Grasu will be a grueling dual for years in the run game. Both are agressive maulers. Great work Cliff Stein once again and great pick Pace.

We picked up a TE that was waived by Jets Chris Pantale. Was a first year and doesnt have any stats.

I just read an article on this kid and looked up some info, he had 33 PBU and 13 INT in his career. He didnt get drafted because of his small stature. It's hard to say what he has left physically but as far as leadership in our secondary we haven't seen anyone like him since we lost Mike Brown. We're just more than a week out from the start of training camp. Scout.com has a good article on potential surprise cuts. How long before this guy gets reps with the 1st team at RT? Mills by all accounts has not looked good so far while Leno has seemingly played well when he's gotten a shot at LT (when Bushrod had a day off Sat). I think this coaching staff is far from settled on who our top 5 Oline are and I'm not sure I'd move Long out to RT as everyone else wants to do. We have Montgomery (a career backup C) or Grasu (a rookie) in the middle and I'd much rather have either Center covered by Slauson/Long than Slauson/Ola/Groy/Ducasse. Great Blue North website has a list of all the undrafted college players on it, and it is pretty extensive. Lots of names we thought would have been drafted somewhere.

So here it is: Bears get: Jay Cutler, Johnny Knox - WR Broncos get: Kyle Orton, Robert Ayers - DE, Richard Quinn - TE (for picks #79 & #84), Alphonso Smith - CB (for 1st Round pick in 2010) Steelers get: Kraig Urbik - OL, Mike Wallace - WR (both picks for pick #64) Seahawks get: Bears #1 pick in 2010 (for pick #37) It seems that Denver had a chance to come out pretty good with the original trade. However, trading away a first rounder for A. Smith was a pretty big reach. Then trading picks #79 and #84 to grab Quinn was also pretty questionable. Seattle and Pittsburgh both made out pretty good.

At the start of Free Agency i was very close to jumping off the ledge. I couldnt believe we were doing nothing. We then make "THE TRADE". As well as picking up some new OLine talent. Now the draft has come and gone and now i am even more excited. Here is a list of things that i am very interested in seeing and excited about: 1. Cutler- enough said 2. WR's- i have read a couple of times that Cutler made the WR's in Denver. I cant wait to see what Hester and Cutler can do. Drafting Enqriue Inglesias was huge IMHO.
