For so many years, many of us have pointed out examples of the NFL's bias against the Bears. From refs calling penalties against the Bears that were bogus. To the penalties committed by the opposition that the refs never called. And then they rob us of two 3rd round compensatory picks from the Ian Cunningham signing with Atlanta. There is an article on SI com that gives some interesting data to back up our claims: Link to article: Stunning NFL Penalty Data Suggests There is Bias Against the Bears It starts off wth this paragraph and then continues to break down the statistics. "The Chicago Bears have a league-worst -795 net penalty yardage gap since 2022. From missed Cal…

A bit early, but what else can we do to kill time waiting for camp to open? There was an article on NFL.com predicting the outcome of every regular-season game to be played in 2026. The authors of the predictions were two guys I'm unfamiliar with, Ali Bhanpuri & Tom Blair. These guys were generous with their predictions for the Bears. One had us at 10 wins; the other at 11. Both had us winning the NFC North title again. One had us going into the playoffs as the #2 seed; the other as the #3 seed. What really surprised me was how optimistic they were compared to so many other doom-and-gloom predictors. Yet they both had the Bears losing to Carolina in our season opener.…

More insight into the draft process. This time they made it clear we got our top two targets. Plus they clearly wanted Zavion because you hear Poles say we can wait a little bit on Thomas but not too long. Dennis Allen at the end thanking Poles for moving up to draft Van den Berg ?

The Bears have brought FA DE-AJ Epenesa in for a workout late last week. Another talent to rotate with Sweat, Booker, Dayo, and Turner will help.

Thought I’d drop a quick thread here to do a quick check in on where everyone is at. Mostly wanted to tell Mad Lith (if he’s out there somewhere) I found some of that Lagvulin at Costco for just over $40. That’s a pretty incredible price! Anyhow, I’m not much on here during the summer as summers in Alaska are something you take full advantage of. I hope all our members, past and current, are doing well! Looking forward to re-engaging with you all (yes even you Mongo, PHX and Stinger lol) once the season begins. I’m not sure how it’ll shake out just yet but it’s always fun to watch … regardless. Meanwhile in the World Cup … go Portugal and Mexico!

First round pick, just 23 years old “Per Birkett, “the charges for Arnold could carry a potential sentence of up to life in prison,” and the state attorney intends to file a pretrial motion arguing that Arnold “remains a danger to the community” and should be kept in jail until trial.” “If Arnold becomes unavailable for the Lions’ 2026 campaign, cornerback becomes a major position of concern for the team. In his absence last year, the team relied on veteran Rock Ya-Sin to step up alongside D.J. Reed and Amik Robertson. The team added nickelback Roger McCreary in free agency and Keith Abney II in the fifth-round of the draft, but with Washington taking Robertson in free…

Comparing QBs closest to Williams in 2024-2025: Herbert 672-1016, 66.1%, 7597 yds, 49 TD, 16 INT, 804 Rush Yards, Years 5-6 (within 114 passing yards, 2 TD) Mahomes 707-1083, 65.3%, 7515 yds, 48 TD, 22 INT, 729 Rush Yards, Years 8-9 (within 32 passing yards, 1 TD) Williams 681-1130, 60.3%, 7483 yds, 47 TD, 13 INT, 877 Rush Yards, Years 1-2 Allen 626-943, 66.4%, 7399 yds, 53 TD, 16 INT, 1110 Rush Yards, Years 7-8 (within 6 TD) The biggest difference is that Williams was a rookie in 2024 with Flus as HC. Considering that, his being already in the mix with this group of QBs is a great sign. Mahomes and Allen are annual MVP Candidates, and Herbert has started to be put in th…

The 2026 Bears rookie class could be one of their best as a whole. They added levels of talent to both offense and defense. There is a good chance this class along with some UDFAs contribute early and become playmakers on a team loaded with young talent. Thieneman has elite athleticism and instincts. He will be a playmaker especially paired with Bryant. Add Muhammad who will compete with Stevenson or maybe play NB if Gordon misses time. They are lining him both inside and out in OTAs. Van Den Berg and Elliott might see time in rotations, but have more competition to fight thru to find opportunities, but should find roles. On offense, we have one of the best minds in …

That can be a vet taking a big leap. Rookie playing really well. UDFA contributing. One of the stars going off. (example) Caleb throwing for 4800 yards/ 34 TDs. A spot with a lot of questions, I think Austin Booker jumps up and gets 12 sacks.

This injury list and subsequent contract issue make me think Jacas wasn’t even on our board. I’d bet the contract issue is over guarantees “Jacas’ recent health issues have not been limited to his knee. A hamstring injury prevented Jacas from participating at the Combine in February or Illinois’ pro day in March. There are also concerns that a labral tear in Jacas’ shoulder could require medical attention down the line.” Pro Football RumorsMike Vrabel Discusses Unsigned 2nd-Rounder Gabe JacasMike Vrabel is "positive" the Patriots will sign second-rounder Gabe Jacas, but it is not clear when it will happen.
