In the Wild Card game, there was a play when the Packers no longer had timeouts and there was an injured player. It was after a long pass where the player was tackled in the field of play. Since the Packers did not have any timeouts there was a 10-second runoff. However, that actually benefitted them because they would've taken the same amount of time to get down the field, get set, then spike the ball. So they basically gained a down by that entire sequence. To me, it should be a 10-second run off AND loss of down because if there was no injury, they would've lost the time and the down. This would only apply to a play where the clock was not stopped the play pr…

On pace for 85-1258 and 21 TDs. That would be the 6th most receiving yards in franchise history, and the franchise record for TD receptions is 13 (last achieved by Dick Gordon in 1974 lol), so he would blow that out of the water by 8. I am sure his TDs will slow down, but he has 13 games left to get 9 TDs (to hit 14 for the record).

Comparing QBs closest to Williams in 2024-2025: Herbert 672-1016, 66.1%, 7597 yds, 49 TD, 16 INT, 804 Rush Yards, Years 5-6 (within 114 passing yards, 2 TD) Mahomes 707-1083, 65.3%, 7515 yds, 48 TD, 22 INT, 729 Rush Yards, Years 8-9 (within 32 passing yards, 1 TD) Williams 681-1130, 60.3%, 7483 yds, 47 TD, 13 INT, 877 Rush Yards, Years 1-2 Allen 626-943, 66.4%, 7399 yds, 53 TD, 16 INT, 1110 Rush Yards, Years 7-8 (within 6 TD) The biggest difference is that Williams was a rookie in 2024 with Flus as HC. Considering that, his being already in the mix with this group of QBs is a great sign. Mahomes and Allen are annual MVP Candidates, and Herbert has started to be put in th…

The Bears have waived Zah Fraizer CB. Missed 2025 season due to personal reasons. He was a 5th round pick in 2025 draft.

For so many years, many of us have pointed out examples of the NFL's bias against the Bears. From refs calling penalties against the Bears that were bogus. To the penalties committed by the opposition that the refs never called. And then they rob us of two 3rd round compensatory picks from the Ian Cunningham signing with Atlanta. There is an article on SI com that gives some interesting data to back up our claims: Link to article: Stunning NFL Penalty Data Suggests There is Bias Against the Bears It starts off wth this paragraph and then continues to break down the statistics. "The Chicago Bears have a league-worst -795 net penalty yardage gap since 2022. From missed Cal…

The Bears have brought FA DE-AJ Epenesa in for a workout late last week. Another talent to rotate with Sweat, Booker, Dayo, and Turner will help.

Early on there were a lot of concerns about the Bears picking Loveland over Warren (or a DT, Edge, or OT). Warren came out of the gate on fire and was really looking like one of the best TEs in the league while Loveland was still recovering from surgery and getting limited playing time. Right now Warren's raw stats look better, but those are essentially padded by playing time. Warren has 200 more offensive snaps than Loveland and 41 more targets. However, since November, Loveland has been one of the best TEs in the league. In that span, he beats Warren in every category. Warren has been pretty bad the last few weeks, with only 8 catches on 21 targets, for a tot…

So I wanted to see who was more correct, the consensus on players (big boards) or where teams selected them. I have more work to do with this, but here is a quick snapshot. I looked at 2023 and 2024, just rounds 1-3, and identified the 3 lowest producing players based on their draft slot, the busts. Then I compared that to where the big board had them. In 11 out of 18 the team drafted the player higher than the consensus, making bad picks into busts. The consensus only had 5 players higher than they were drafted that turned out to be busts. So the consensus is over 2x more accurate than the teams own evaluations. Meaning that if all these teams stuck to the big board, th…

Caleb's 3rd season, 2nd under Ben Johnson. 2nd season for DA at DC, no other major coaches left. This is the SB window. The last time the Bears had back-to-back winning seasons and playoff appearances was 2005 and 2006, finishing 11-5 and then 13-3, ultimately losing the SB. However, the last time they won playoff games in back-to-back seasons was 1984 and 1985, culminating in the historic SB win. The 84-91 stretch was awesome but so frustrating. They should've had 2 Super Bowls and probably 3 visits. Way too many one and dones.

I wanted to see how familiar the Bears non-Divisional opponents would be for Caleb and Coach Johnson. I will have to also cross reference Coach Allen as well. However, either the Bears played the opponent in 2025, Williams played them in 2024, or Johnson coached against them in 2023 or 2024, except for NYJ and MIA. As the team improves, especially the consistency on offense, having some previous experience against the defenses should help. This makes me feel a little better about the 2026 season. Atlanta Falcons - Johnson coached against in 2023 Buffalo Bills - Johnson coached against in 2024 New England Patriots - Williams played in 2024 Jacksonville Jaguars -…

More insight into the draft process. This time they made it clear we got our top two targets. Plus they clearly wanted Zavion because you hear Poles say we can wait a little bit on Thomas but not too long. Dennis Allen at the end thanking Poles for moving up to draft Van den Berg ?

By actions of the Bear's brass, they are going to go with current assets as far as adding to the pass rush. DA, to my understanding, does a lot of stunts and blitz's. As we all know the sacks come from the DTs, LBers, and DBs, and with the added speed, I can see a lot more from the back seven . As much as Dexter was bad against the run he was 9th in sacks as a DT. He was 19th out of 134 in pressures. Grady Jarrett is on his last legs and was hurt most of the year. He appeared to play better towards the end of the year. He had 21 pressures and 3 sacks. If healthy, maybe he can get a few more sacks. Another DT that was bad against the run. K Street had 2 sacks and 6 press…

Seems like a lower-end depth piece. Played a year with DA in 2022 in NO, so there is some inside knowledge on what he brings.
