Last week, Jerry Angelo promised that the coming offseason would bring greater dedication to offensive talent and a close examination of the offensive game philosophy the Bears have displayed under this current regime and the previous 60+ years. Face it, Ron Turner ain't leavin'. Brad Briggs writes in the Sun Times that Marinelli feels Harris is "Ready to Go." BUt Marinelli's statement was: He SEEMS PRETTY healthy?????? Doesn't fill me with alot of confidence. And if Harris is not back we better be looking at another anchor for the DL.

I don't know what the hell he is looking at on film, but there is no way only two or three of the picks are not Cutler's fault. I can think of two falling WRs, two wrong routes by WRs, one DPI not called, and the play where Hester ran into the Ump just off the top of my head.

I've neve put to much faith in these things, but damn they seemed to hit the nail on the head. Particularly when they say, "Has had some off-the-field issues. Does he love playing the game of football? Will he work hard enough at it in the NFL?" and also, "there are some lingering concerns about his character, attitude and speed that make him a potential disappointment at the next level." Wow. What I saw from tonight's game with our WR's: 1. Cutler forces the ball to Hester when Olsen's out. 2. IMO Rashied Davis appears to be our 2nd best WR. Not good. 3. Knox & Iglesias ain't going to see the field this year. 4. For all the hype, were Riddeau and DA even playing??? 5. Earl Bennett can't get open. I've got to believe this D will come around. I refuse to believe they got old and can't do it. They looked that way last night as they made J.T. look like Elway. I expect they'll bring it when the season starts. With that said, the O looked like they could be at least "average" this season. The equation to me is: Average O + Solid D + Super ST = Playoffs Obviously everything rests on staying healthy.
