Dont like the signing. Unless we already have a deal for Rolle/Atogwe... i dont see why they moved so fast. FS is a desperate need and relying on a 3rd rounder is BS Getting Chester Taylor is certainly a great back to have, but i dont like not filling a major need first

Urlacher makes a pretty strong case to re-sign him. I thought his wording was interesting. He seems to understand that to stay on this team, he is going to have to take a pay cut. We all clearly have our idea of what we would like the Bears to do in the draft. But, unfortunaely, the Bears rarely do what we want them to, particularly in the draft. Yesterday was a fun win unlike last week! It looked dismal at the start and I thought it'd be a long day ending with Cutler leaving on a stretcher. Then, Martz the Mad Scientist, went to work and adjusted immediately! A real OC! Then we rode it all the way to victory! A few observations... 1. Cutler looks like the franchise guy we all wanted. Starting out the gates +10 seems a little high after a 9 pts win and GB's double digit loss. Oddsmakers still have no faith in this team. Can you imagine if the Bears win and head into an easier part of their schedule, 2-0 while GB sits at 0-2? That would be wild. If I go off Week 1s results, I would probably say the Bears win, but going off historical data, it looks like GB should win by a TD. So I am going to say Bears by 3, 27-24!

Obviously QB's are way too protected by the rules and, IMO, rules can't possibly protect the QB's. All the rules in the world wouldn't have saved Brady last season. When a lineman accidently hits a QB with his pinkie it shouldn't cost the D 15 yards. COME ON! And this whole "Landing on the QB with all your weight" deal, ridiculous. That's exactly what you should do to a QB when you get there! I'm not saying hit him late, play within the rules. The Bears just won back-to-back on the road, and 3 in a row. The schedule lightens up a little bit over the next month, but they cannot overlook the Saints on a short week. The Saints are 0-5 when they allow 20+ points and 1-0 when they allow 19 or less. They themselves only have one game where they scored more than 21 and that happened to be the only game their defense held their opponent under 20 (lol). Up until now, most all the talk has been surrounding the top 4 OTs in the draft. Britton seemed like an after-thought. But his stock seems to be on the rise, and I am not sure how much, if at all, he would be considered a reach at 18 now. Assuming the top 4 are gone, should Britton be a consideration? Reading up on Britton was pretty interesting. As I can tell, there are two key knocks on him. (a) He comes from a spread offense, but I would argue that more and more teams are using this, and you can not dismiss players from the spread offenses. If it is a bust what happens to the coaching staff? Lets say Lovie is fired then who we go after? My money is on Sumari Mike. He has the credentials now and has such a legacy to Chicago it would only make sense. Much Like Ditka before him. Then his staff Would be interesting as well. Maybe leslie Frazier as D coord. Keep Toub for sure. But who would he have as a offensive Coord? Any thoughts? Not that I am giving up this year, its just a little forsight to what might happen is all.
