Noticed Marc Bulger was one of the worst starting Qb's in the league last year while Kurt Warner was one of the best. I thought that was kind of satisfying remembering how Kurt lost his job after an injury to Marc back in the day. I've always liked Kurt. Of course maybe Marc is also a good guy; I don't know much about him.

Eagles agreed to terms with S Sean Jones on a one-year undisclosed contract. Great undervalued signing, as Jones as Pro Bowl-quality talent if he can stay healthy. Jones played strong safety in Cleveland, but it looks like he'll be filling the free safety void left by Brian Dawkins' departure. It's also possible that he'll have to fight off Quintin Demps for the starting job. Expect a rebound season.

Free agent T.J. Houshmandzadeh reiterated via text message to the Cincinnati Enquirer that he expects to sign with a team by tonight. Housh, who's still in Minnesota and presumably negotiating a contract, is targeting "Sunday evening" to announce his new home. The Bengals have an offer on the table. Houshmandzadeh made his first visit to Seattle and could still meet with Tampa or Philadelphia early this week if he stays unsigned.

ABC Nation News reports that one Lions player and two Raiders are on a boat in Clearwater, Florida that has gone missing. The Coast Guard is searching for the 21-foot fishing boat, which is thought to be about 50 miles offshore in the Gulf of Mexico. The players' names have not been disclosed. There were originally four people aboard. They were supposed to return at 1:30AM last night, but never came in. Patriots beat writer Mike Reiss wonders if Mike Vrabel's trade could be part of a larger deal including Matt Cassel. Now that would be a doozy. Reiss is one of the most well-respected beat writers in the country, and is usually very cautious to publish anything resembling speculation. He rightly points out that we have no idea what the compensation in the Vrabel trade is.

Buccaneers acquired TE Kellen Winslow from the Browns in exchange for undisclosed draft picks. We'll guess it's a second-round pick and a late-rounder. The Bucs will likely give Winslow a new contract too, so it's a costly move. They needed the pass-catching help badly, though, and Winslow is still only 25 even if he's had knee problems in the past. He's not a great bet to play deep into his 30s, and he's going from one QB controversy to another shaky situation. We don't see it particularly helping his fantasy outlook. Here's the story - INDIANAPOLIS -- Marvin Harrison refused to take a pay cut. The Indianapolis Colts couldn't afford to keep him without one. On Monday, the two sides reached agreement on one thing: Harrison will be a free agent. Agent Tom Condon told The Associated Press that Indianapolis has agreed to release the franchise's all-time leading receiver, although an official announcement is not expected until Tuesday or Wednesday. The decision comes one day after team president Bill Polian said he hoped to cut a deal that would keep Harrison in Indy. When Harrison said no, the Colts said farewell. The Houston Chronicle reports that the Vikings are on the verge of acquiring Sage Rosenfels from the Texans in exchange for a fourth-round pick. This trade was nearly made last year, but Houston balked when the Vikes offered only a third-round choice. The Texans wanted a second-rounder. Rosenfels, 31 in March, would immediately become the favorite to start in Minnesota if the deal is completed. The aggressive passer is considered a strong fit for the West Coast offense coach Brad Childress runs.
