  1. hanie picked it up 2nd half. if he can change for the better that quickly, the final few weeks shouldn't be a problem. but the penalties need to stop.
  2. knox missed more than he caught today. he's quick, but misses quite a bit of easy balls.
  3. qfe Orton is our QB for years to come. We scored more points this season, than we have in the past 10 years. (Excluding our SB season, which was about 90 points more). Our defense is the reason we lost many games this season. Poor CB and LB plays (Briggs was a beast, don't get me wrong) ruined our season. Most points given up since 2002. Ugly play, everyone knows it. Don't blame Kyle - lowest INT thrown by the Bears in years. Sacked only 25 times all season long. I say, not bad for technically a first year player. Can't count the rookie season by any means. Give Orton some WR that can actually run the routes and catch the balls (Booker and Rashied prime examples of the mistakes...) and he will be able to surprise all the haters. IF THE DEFENSE SHOWED UP THIS SEASON, we would be 12-4 instead of 9-7. Carolina, Tampa Bay, and Atlanta were all lost due to 4th quarter meltdowns by the defense. /flame off
  4. Coming into today we had very slim chances of making the playoffs. So please don't look down upon the team entirely. Makes me sick that, after every loss, tons of posts are made flaming the entire team, the coaching staff, etc. Grow up people. We can't win them all, and with our offense I'm satisfied with winning 9 games. Hell if we made the playoffs, we'd be knocked out right away, so it's the same thing. We just get a higher draft pick. Look at the bright side. These posts really get old after every Bears loss. Sure, I wish we could go 16-0, but we can't. I wish we made the playoffs, but we didn't. No need to flame every single person on the team for the game.
  5. You're sounding like more of a Packers fan than a Bears fan. 1 INT was Orton's fault. The other was Davis' fault. Lots of passes were incomplete due to drops from the WR core. Did he get lucky on the long pass interference plays? Sure he did, but who cares, we won. Christ learn to cheer for a team instead of trying to degrade every aspect of it. Some true fan you are.
  6. Just for the record, anyone who is saying that Mark Bradley was a bad pick, you obviously haven't been watching KC clips. The man's a stud, and it's sad to see that we keep Rashied Davis on the team, but cut Bradley.
  7. He was 21 for 32 with 283 yards 2TDs and 0INTs the first game this season against Minn. Again, please LOOK WHAT YOU WRITE before you POST IT.
  8. I can't tell if this is sarcasm or not
  9. Give Williams a bit to get back into shape, don't put him against Allen right away are you kidding me? The boy would have to quit the team after 1 set of downs.
  10. Well I'll start this out with the most obvious and we can go from there #1 Rex Grossman
  11. Going up against the leagues best run defense, and we manage to get 100+ on the ground, posting 4.0 avg. I'd say it was a decent run game. Orton lost the game for us, nuff said. I'm a big Orton fan, but today's performance was unrealistically terrible. Not to mention our receivers shouldn't even be on the practice squad with the way they're playing. But please, don't degrade the OLine for going up against the best DLine in the game. We're not the Giants you know, we're 32+ years old for the most part. I'd say the OLine wasn't the problem this game.
  12. Actually Idonije has been a stud in my opinion. Why he isn't on the field more, beats me. It's hard to find a guy that gives 110% on ST and DEF, so he's a great player, and I'd be pretty upset if we weren't to keep him and use him more often than we have. We all know 3rd Rd DT's are supposed to be absolute beasts. That's why they're taken in the 3rd Rd right? Please read what you write before you click the post button next time. Passed up Willis McGahee and Larry Johnson to get Grossman. I know I was upset at this pick, but hey, it's a chance. Just shouldn't bust Angelo's balls on drafting Dusty. He sucks, oh well.
  13. On his sack, he flew in when he had the opening. I've never seen him get to the QB so fast, it amazed me. Thought for sure we had Garrett Wolfe doing it
  14. This one goes to the defense. We cannot say that this game was similar to the Titans game, because the Packers started behind their own 20 numerous amounts of the time. The defense gave up SO many yards that should have been stopped, it made me sick. I have never seen WR's as open as I did this game, it made me sick. Was Orton's performance good? Not really. Was it his fault? Not entirely. There were many passes that were catchable, but the receivers couldn't hang on. Devin Hester is a good example. Brandon Lloyd, Marty Booker, etc, all had a terrible game, and it hurts to watch their gameplay continue to decrease. Hester is a waste of money entirely. Have not seen him make one play like he has in previous years even though he's had the opportunities to. Blame the defense, not the offense. It's hard to play with motivation when your defense gives up yards like it's a high school football game.
  15. Oh, well then let me rephrase. I'd rather get Jonathan Quinn back from FA and pay him 10$ mill to start for the Bears if Grossman had an offer of 100k to start. Hope that sums it up nicely.
  16. For as many yards and passes the defense gave up, there was a huge opportunity for us to come back and win this one. Scoring 21 points is what teams have been doing on us all season, we just didn't put up enough on the board this time to compete with it.
  17. That's because he is playing like absolute sh*t. You play like sh*t you deserve to be benched no matter who you are.
  18. Giving the QB position a grade of D is a generous proposal.
  19. I posted when we released him it was a bad idea. I stick to it till this day, and I'm glad that KC got him instead of one of our divisional teams. But still, the guy was never given a big chance like he's getting in KC. We are now stuck with Rashied Davis being our #1. Don't understand why we couldn't keep Bradley as our #3 at least.
