  1. I thought going into the season he was supposed to be our #1 WR on the depth?
  2. I really want Grossman to start just 1 game, have 0TDs and 4INTs and have Bears88 stfu for once on these boards. Like a 15 year old who doesn't know when enough is enough.
  3. It will be ungodly degrading if we lose this game. Lost to heads. GG.
  4. Notice how since Orton has thrown a td Bears88 hasn't said anything negative about him? Awkwardddd
  5. Or INT's *EDIT* (INTs are included in turning the ball over, doh)
  6. Bump You sir, made the correct trade it seems so far. ::high five::
  7. They need WR that can catch the ball. They need an OLine to be compared to others. Mentioning Broncos, who have the best OLine, how can you compare the two? Same with New England, who are just overpowered, and Green Bay who has elite WR's. I mean come on... you're acting like you're 15 blaming all this on Orton. Let's see you go out there and get rushed by 5 250+ lb guys every down with no blockers. I'll be damned if you get a 20 yard pass off.
  8. Rex's inability to come through in the clutch is why we lost games. TAKE THIS FOR EXAMPLE: At the moment, the Bears are low on QB skill (yes we all know this) so we need to find a new route don't we? We will win this season due to Special Teams and Defense, certainly not offense. With this being said, what's the goal? Limit the turnovers on offense and let the D stop them and get the turnovers themselves. Our D is proven that they can force multiple turnovers per game, and put points on the board along with the Special Teams. Having Grossman in there DECREASES our chances of winning due to his habit of turning the ball over (fumbles and turnovers). At the moment, Orton is making smart decisions, hence a 0 INT for the 1st 2 games of the season. Point out that he has 0 TDs, who cares? We would have won last game had Olsen learned to hold on to the ball. Orton played fine, smart decisions, sure he needs to learn to throw the long ball, but jesus guys. It's his FIRST REAL SEASON as starting quarterback. Rookie year did NOT count. Who starts a 4th round QB the entire season by choice? Let alone, what 4th round QB is actually READY for the season the year they get drafted. It's absurd for anyone to think that Grossman can carry this team this season, and to keep arguing this point is a waste of everyones' time.
  9. Your comments throughout this post are just retarded. I seriously want to just reach through the computer and slap you.
  10. Orton has been cautious with his passing, which is what the Bears requested of him. Don't say he sucks when the coaches are telling him "Just don't throw INTs" Rex, as I wanted him to start, would have thrown a lot of bad plays and would have caved under the pressure in situations. Don't throw Orton out of the game just yet. He almost had a TD today btw, but was called at the 1 yard line
  11. If you say Ron Turner deserves the blame you didn't watch the game. Yes, some of his play calls weren't the best, but that is no excuse for Greg Olsen's poor performance today. Both fumbles cost of points, as well as giving them points. They gave the Panthers strength to continue the game, and had all the momentum in their area. Greg Olsen was the main reason we lost this game. Yes, Orton did overthrow many receivers this game, but at least he didn't throw up an INTs. Why he's on this list is beyond me...
  12. Tennessee (17) Palmer will come out of slump against Tennessee, plus the problems that Vince Young has been having recently. Buffalo (10) The RB dual will have trouble with a lack of the OL for Jacksonville, but the god-awful defense on the Bills can't stop them regardless. Oakland (17) JaMarcus Russell showed yesterday that he wasn't ready for a win, and I believe that this week will be no different. Especially with the way that the Oakland OL looked, and with Dorsey pushing hard for KC, I expect an easy win for KC. Minnesota (17) > Indianapolis (14) With Indy's recent troubles, and how badly they looked and played against the Bears, I think that the Minnesota defense will stop them silly. As long as Tarvaris doesn't make stupid mistakes, they should win. Chicago (24) > Carolina (10) With the way Chicago's defense looked, Carolina's offense should be stopped to a minimum. Carolina won a lucky one last week, but this week should be different. No mistakes on offense for Bears = another win. Green Bay (37) > Detroit (21) Not much to say here if you watched Detroit get rolled on the ground by Atlanta. NY Giants (27) > St. Louis (10) St. Louis is on such a downfall that the Giants will haul them. With Eli starting to perform to the range of the #1 overall pick, and the lack of offense on St. Louis, especially that of Stephen Jackson, Giants should come out on top. New Orleans (9) Washington's defense should shape up this week, much more than last game. New Orleans shouldn't be able to run on a more healthy Jason Taylor, as well as Landry picking up his slack. Tampa Bay (27) Tampa has some good offense this year, but their defense isn't the best. Ryan showed that he could lead a team, such as the Falcons, past a team like the Lions. Lions weren't expected to be that bad against the run, but we'll see this week on what Ryan is really made of. San Francisco (14) > Seattle (10) Seattle looked awful on Sunday, especially Matt Hasselbeck. Game goes to San Francisco if the Seahawks play like they did. New England (30) > NY Jets (24) Even with the loss of Tom Brady the Patriots still have a stellar team, and Cassel didn't do too bad in his big debut. Farve won't have another game like he did against the Dolphins, especially with the defense that the Patriots currently have. San Diego (28) Denver proved that they still have the offense and the OLine. Cutler looked beautiful last night and I expect him to continue this throughout the season. San Diego could pull this off, but with a 20% Shawn Merriman, the middle running game looks quite open for the quick Broncos. Arizona (17) Miami did good in their season opener, especially with Pennington coming into it (starting 2nd quarter of course). Arizona's running game is lacking completely, which is a plus for the decent DLine that the Dolphins currently have. Dolphins on top this one. Baltimore (31) > Houston (10) Houston's team is still terrible, so I can't see a win right here. Maybe around Week6 when they face Miami, but that's even still up in the air. Pittsburgh (38) > Cleveland (34) Match of the week here in my opinion. Cleveland's offense should take a positive turn for this game, and I expect Anderson and Edwards to hook up 2 to 3 times this game for TD's. Pittsburgh's running game was stellar in the opener, so the Browns are going to have trouble stopping it in Week2. Pittsburgh on top for this one though, but will be a great game. Philadelphia (28) Great teams for a MNF game. Romo will continue to blossom with Owens at WR, and McNabb will have trouble without any main receivers being healthy at the moment. Dallas will come through, winning by a FG in the 4th quarter. Enjoy! Please don't flame
  13. I also was a sucker for drafting Brady. Had Garrard as a bench player and thought of trading Brady for a WR. Should have.
  14. I really can't complain though. Anyone watch the Redskins game? Their O-Line made ours look like the Broncos'
  15. Will KJ be getting carries on Sunday night?
  16. Fred Taylor, no doubt. Williams might get majority of carries, but that's unknown. If Taylor gets a year like last year (hopefully he does, I have him as well) then you banked. Taylor for Week1, trust me.
  17. Do the trade in a heartbeat. Betts will be worthless, as well as Stewart. You're getting a top5 RB in Ronnie Brown, breakout player Bryant Johnson, and a top 20 NFL WR in Wes Welker.
  18. So we can trade for a backup guard but can't figure out that signing Willie/Ruben is a better option.
  19. Any news on Willie yet? I read he might return to Cincinnati, but that was just coach talk.
  20. http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/blog/shutdown_...?urn=nfl,104485 Bears entire team shot down in article, but WR corps given props (very little though it seems).
