  1. Don't be a meathead. Jason Pierre Paul was a bust his first year too.
  2. RT @BradBiggs: I am told #Bears have 2 representatives at the Kansas State pro day, which is going on right now. Main attraction could be LB Arthur Brown.
  3. This is good but extending Tillman and Marshall and cutting the 4 guys you mentioned shouldn't only leave them with BTW, giving Louis 4 years probably isn't smart. I'd start at 2.
  4. I think they can fix it in one year. Sign a LT, draft a RT then G or vice versa, get Louis back, and take a C in round 5.
  5. Dump Spencer and Campbell? They're FA's.
  6. I can't tell if you posted this to be funny or to be serious, but if the Bears sign him, I'll puke.
  7. Rodriguez was most likely going back to TE, anyhow. Tice put him at FB because 1) he's a moron and 2) they had no one else to play there. As I posted in the interviews thread we once had pinned, they interviewed Zach Line at the EW Shrine Game. Line can block and run, as he had 1200 yards rushing in 2012 for SMU and won CUSA offensive player of the year. I'd love to see him taken in round 6.
  8. Ben Watson, Louis Vazquez, Jason Campbell, Brian Urlacher, Lance Louis, and Israel Idonije.
  9. RT @vxmcclure23: While Bears are sure to look into OL and TE in free agency, word around combine last month was they wanted to secure a true fullback, too.
  10. We're talking about this in Terra's latest thread, but it does make sense to create it's own thread. As I said in there, I doubt the interest is real. Loadholt is a damn good player and is arguably the best run blocking RT in football, but Emery has kept it quiet this long and now the news is breaking? That seems suspicious and screams "let's raise the price for him so Minnesota uses too much cap room on this guy" to me.
  11. Agree, as long as the LT isn't Bushrod.
  12. RT @alexmarvez: I know the Phil Loadhold talk, but I hear #Dolphins Jake Long or #Saints Jermon Bushrod top UFA target for #Bears: http://t.co/rxf3NoSkGB
  13. RG, please. He was horrendously pathetic at RT. He had a year to recover from an injury that typically takes 2-4 weeks to heal from, and yet I keep hearing "he was bad because he was injured still."
  14. For those who want Chase Daniel.. RT @JasonLaCanfora: Continue to hear a strong buzz about Chase Daniel. Teams think he'll get $3M-plus a year. Lot of clubs in a shallow QB market ... Yuck. No thanks.
  15. Not that they won't sign Long or Loadholt, but Emery hasn't said much to anyone. I usually get information and I can't now. Doesn't anyone else find this odd that NOW he's "leaking" information? Doesn't this sound like a rival GM trying to raise the price on Minnesota? ESPN Minnesota just tweeted-- RT @TomPelissero: #Bears' interest in Phil Loadholt is legitimate, I'm told. Offering better numbers than #Vikings, who don't want to go above $5M/year.
  16. Who said Roach would be back as a back-up?
  17. Asked my guy today. His reply: "no clue, too close to the vest to tell."
  18. No one would complain with that.
  19. I think when the drft rolls around, fans lose perspective. What you're saying is they could take any DT to fill Melton's spot and they'll be fine. The 3-tech in this defense is one of the most important in football. Sylvester Williams? I'll take my chances with Melton. If you dealt him to a team for their 1st, their fans would say: "We needed a DT and got a great one. We wouldn't have gotten anyone better with our pick," and they're exactly right. Now, if a team with a top 5 pick wanted him, good bye, but the 26th overall pick or something? No thanks.
  20. Give me one of the best LT's in football over a 35 year old MLB on the decline.
  21. Jennings and Wallace are nothing special. Jennings is always hurt (averages less than 13 games/year) and Wallace drops a bunch of passes. If he had played for the Raiders, no one would even think he's good. A lot of people said the same when Berrian signed in Minnesota or when the Vikings got the 7th pick and took Troy Williamson. Yeah, they should trade the DT who is 2nd in the NFL in sacks from all DT's since week 1 of 2011.
  22. I like him out of the division but this makes Seattle great as long as Wilson doesn't have a sophmore slump.
  23. The Trib also said Collins was going to be tendered about a week ago. If they got Long, that'd be awesome. Obviously money would have to be moved around still, but I still think that's coming.
  24. There used to be that feeling among WR's from Florida...and then Percy Harvin came along. You can't stay away from Florida defenders for forever. How guys turned out before Jon Bostic has nothing to do with Jon Bostic.
