Idonije
RT @RapSheet: Speaking of the #Bears: They still want to re-sign DE Israel Idonije and are trying to do so. Must fight off the #49ers to make it happen

The O line so what do we do
Right now, Brown is a backup. There is no way they don't address the G spot via the draft, IMO.

The O line so what do we do
If they were going to go with a rookie at C this year, I'm surprised they didn't cut Garza. What I hope: Bushrod-Rookie-Garza-Louis/Carimi-Webb/Carimi

Goodbye to Urlacher
And that's not even including M.Bennett, Forte, or Bushrod.

Goodbye to Urlacher
You said this will have a negative effect on the future of vet contracts. How so? Will Tillman receive an extension offer and decline it because they didn't keep his buddy? How about Marshall? Would he turn down a huge extension? Urlacher said yesterday he was offered something a few weeks ago and then it finally got negotiated down. This means their initial offer was higher than $2m for 1 year. That's business. He should've taken that initial offer that was higher than 2 but lower than 5 right away and we wouldn't be having this discussion. Yeah, they'll have to draft a LB. I wanted one with the first 2 picks anyway unless you wanted JT Thomas or Blake Costanzo or some other asshat UDFA as a starter. Now they'll draft 2 with their first 4 picks. So what? Seattle has done this and has built up a dominant D with Bobby Wagner and KJ Wright.

Georgia Pro Day
I still have my doubts about Brown being a 4-3 MLB. Ogletree is definitely that, but like you said, he's clearly not intelligent. I'd typically say trade down and get Brown, but at 24-28, I think he'd be off the board there, maybe even to the Vikings.

Bears sign Turk McBride
Didn't he have like 7.5 sacks last year?
-
Rodriguez arrested
Not yet, but he did have some off the field issues at Temple.
-
Steve Maneri
Bears sign blocking TE Steve Maneri to a 2 year deal. Fun fact: he's Blake Costanzo's cousin.
- Rodriguez arrested

Goodbye to Urlacher
So he had that many injuries from his waist down and you want him back? That strained MCL he suffered week 17 in 2011 turned into a year long issue. That issued caused him to miss the preseason, not something else. He then was juuuust getting healthy, and then hurt his hamstring. He's just an older player who isn't good with a broken down body. End of story. And for the record, he got a new deal 2 years ago in training camp by the Bears. Wasn't this his turn to take his $1m guaranteed and earn $2m total?

A Speed WR On The Scrap Heap
I'm glad I'm not the only person on this board who doesn't love Alshon Jeffery. For the reasons you mentioned + the fact that he's slow and dropped quite a few passes last year, I'm not a fan yet.

Goodbye to Urlacher
This couldn't be more wrong. So if the Bears offered Tillman a 2 year deal now, he'd say no? Would Marshall? They offered him, according to Urlacher, a better deal a week ago. Was that poor management by the Bears? How does this hamstring the Bears? They were going to take 2 LB's anyway. Did you want them going into 2013 with only Urlacher as an option at MLB? They just have to take one in round 1 now.

Bears like Captain Munnerlyn
- Goodbye to Urlacher
I disagree. Read every analyst or writer. Matt Bowen played and watches film for a living. He says Urlacher doesn't have it anymore. It's Emery's call and he made it. This should also make fans excited that it truly is Emery in charge and nobody else. Everyone will miss him and everyone loved him. Hence the puking emoticon...- Goodbye to Urlacher
He said they offered a better contract but it eventually got negotiated down. Then Brian, why didn't you sign it?- Goodbye to Urlacher
Urlacher is on Sirius right now and said "I wouldn't play for $2 million...not for the Bears at least." Then get the f*** out. "At least?" What the f*** does that mean?- A Speed WR On The Scrap Heap
I'd like this. He's never had a QB of any sort and the Raiders have been a disaster of an organization for years. If he signs for cheap, he can't hurt. Does cutting Weems save anything?- Goodbye to Urlacher
Right now- Briggs, Thomas, DeCicco and Costanzo.- Goodbye to Urlacher
Urlacher is the franchise leader in tackles & sacks by a LB. I say they will, but I see your argument as well.- Goodbye to Urlacher
RT @vxmcclure23: Just got off the phone with Brian Urlacher.Said Bears gave him a take it or leave it offer of one-year, $2 million.- Hester on ST only....
He also said it's stupid to blame the Bears for making him a WR. He said if the excuse is he sucks now at KR/PR because of that, that's not viable.- Goodbye to Urlacher
Here it goes: Urlacher was a clown as a teenager. He acted like an ass off the field but was arguably the most athletic LB to come in the draft in the past 20 years. He grew to be one of my favorite players ever and one of the best Bears ever. Whether he ends up in Minnesota or back home in New Mexico come September, I wish him all the best and can't wait until #54 retired by the organization. When he's inducted into Canton, I might have to drive and see it.- Goodbye to Urlacher
No he's horrendous.- Goodbye to Urlacher
He was the only one in Chicago who guessed Urlacher would be gone? - Goodbye to Urlacher
