  1. Let's just set something straight. He was not cut. He was simply told the team will not be offering him a contract.
  2. I have met many athletes in my life, but none were more down to earth and more un-professionalathletelike (is that a word?) than DJ Moore. I never saw him turn down a fan for an autograph or a picture, EVER. He followed a bunch of his fans on twitter too. Awesome guy.
  3. Agree, but I doubt Trestman cares about what he said about Cutler. This is done because his play was lacking in 2012, and they could draft a NB in round 4 or 5 to play for much, much cheaper.
  4. As I just posted, Moore was told he will not be brought back. This is not a surprise, and this could be the first domino to fall.
  5. per McClure. Moore was told he is not in the team's plans.
  6. You did not answer why NFL teams don't all try to copy this easy scheme, no. You're answer is simply- well, the Saints did pay their G's more than their T's. Ok, that's fine, but why don't ALL teams do this? It would be easier on their cap situations. If this was the case, the Broncos could trade Clady for a 4th round pick, best case scenario.

Long was a G at Oregon. Like someone pointed out, he rarely ever played LT there. As a USC fan, I saw a lot of his games. He was a damn good G at that. His arm length also shows that he's best suited at G in the NFL. While still raw, he has the bloodlines and nastiness to one day be a great NFL G. If I'm the Bears, I take a deep look into him in round 2 because he has arguably the best potential of any sleeper G in this draft. Having a few starts at T under his belt will be another attractive attribute of his because he, yes, hypothetically could play T if needed. He will be a better G than T.
  8. I think he means this question: I'm still waiting for an answer on why if G's easily make T's better teams don't let their great T's walk and just sign great G's to put next to their mediocre T's...
  9. per Schefter. There goes another option
  10. per the Titans twitter feed

    Long is a G.

Peter King, Omar Kelly and Pete Prisco all think the rumors of Jake Long being bad are greatly exaggerated. Some team will give him that.
  14. No, you put that in there to simply point out that Pompei AND someone else both said it. Just stop. He's terrible at what he does.
  15. If just using the Saints formula is so easy, I once again ask: why doesn't every team do this and just let their LT's walk? Signing a stud G is cheaper than a stud T. HOLY CHRIST STOP WITH THAT. USING DAN POMPEI AS A SOURCE MAKES YOU LOOK DUMB.
  16. I would cream if this happens, except Daryl Smith. He's too old. This all seems too easy. BTW, his name is Kromer.
  17. I know who they brought in. I meant it as "they didn't sign anyone...of note." Rachal was told by SF to go away, Brown was a UDFA, and Scott was always a mediocre T who happened to play well finally. If I'm supposed to feel good about Emery thinking the OL needs major upgrades now, I don't. If he did, he would've made a better effort to sign clear upgrades, not stopgap journey-men or UDFA's.
  18. Where did he say Mathieu proved himself in the NFL?
  19. I meant if a LTD doesn't get agreed upon, obviously.
  20. I agree with that.
  21. I have a question: if a LG or RG will help any T look better, why do teams covet their Pro Bowl T's so much? If it's so easy, why not pay a great G and let their T walk to FA? A great G costs less than a great T after all.
  22. My post in a nut shell
  23. I don't think this says Webb is a bad person, but I do think it makes him a dumb person. While weed should be legal, it's not, and he has to know that. Mathieu won't be there in round 6, but if he's there in round 4, I want him. He's a dynamic player. He is a nickel and the Bears need one. They also could use a better KR/PR (or any KR/PR if Hester is cut). Mathieu has passed every test since being kicked off LSU's team. Webb has recently been caught.
  24. Melton will sign it. He seemed relatively happy about it on twitter.
