Bears trying to trade Earl Bennett
If they could get a 5th for him, they might as well.

Marshal- worried??
Marshall said today he loves the offense. Of course, I don't expect him to say any different.

Marshal- worried??
Regarding Marshall, I've heard a few worrisome OTHER things about him this offseason. That + this worries me. All the more reason to hope Jeffery has a good year.

Preseason Game 3
A penalty every 8-9 plays is horrible.

Sleeper Prospect Fendi Onobun
Watching Onobun play is humorous, in a bad way. He's bad. Cut him on Tuesday.

Preseason Game 3
He played well? He had 2 penalties in 2 quarters.

Preseason Game 3
You can say that for 31 other teams, too.

Enjoying Martellus Bennett
Yeah, catch the ball and I'll "enjoy" you more. By the way, who cares what a Dallas fan thinks? I know they're used to mediocrity, but Bennett was used sparingly there and any athlete will tell you how tough it is to perform when you're not in the flow of the game. He was still inconsistent in New York, but "hate" is a strong word.

CB Richard Marshall cut by Fins
He'd be a nice depth move, but I think Frey's their guy going forward at nickel.

Bubble Watch
Yeah, Mannelly's safe. I'd say that Ozougwu, Scott, Weems, and Zbikowski are all very much on the bubble.

Kyle Long
You said this: He has to work on technique but holy cripes are the tools there. Dude was a freakin stud last night and It was amazing to see. I look forward to seeing him grow and pancake the shit out of people. I hope he turns into a perennial all pro!!! and then: People are making an awful lot of conclusions about the coaching staff and Emery's drafting ability based upon preseason production. Sure there are tools that you see and things to be encouraged but what matters is regular and post-season production. Conclusions should be made based upon that. Right now...this is just preliminary information that gives you a bit of an educated hypothesis as to what these players and the coaching staff may be capable of. All of it is happening with very vanilla playbooks (both on our team and for the other team). Huh?

Cutler's interceptions in training camp
This is a WCO. The ZBS is more for the OL.

My pictures from Bears/Panthers Game
I guess he lost some weight according to reports but I guess he gained muscle, if that makes any sense.

Is this a sign of things to come?
The Bears only make him talk on Wednesdays. They also gave him his own PR guy as well. It's not his fault.

Offensive guru, eh?
Then don't get excited. It was their first time in a real football game since December, and their #1 and #3 WR's didn't play. BTW, this is the exact offense GB runs. It's dink and dunk and eventually hit a big pass play.

Cutler's interceptions in training camp
TRADE 'EM ALL.
-
Offensive guru, eh?
I never would have thought the first meathead post would come from you, but I was wrong.

Bears tickets available
I got $195 (way under face but not bad for game 4 of the preseason) for CLE and $250 (one dollar over face) for SD on eBay. Give that a try.

How far has J'Webb fallen?
About a week ago, Webb tweeted that he was going dark and needed to focus. Yesterday, he tweeted. So much for "focusing and going dark," clown.

Cutler's interceptions in training camp
This is nothing. Last preseason, Charles Tillman got torched by Ramses Barden in game 3 of the preseason and that mattered more than practices before game 1 of the preseason. So, no, this means nothing. This statement is false because this system is eerily similar to what he ran in Denver with Shanahan.

Bears sign LB Starks 3yr deal
With the new CBA, these 3 year deals happen a lot now for no-name guys. This is nothing but a depth move in case Williams' injury doesn't go away in time for week 1. I'd be surprised if Starks made the 53 man roster.

Went to camp today...
Because of the rush thanks to dumbass Webb, he was mostly hitting checkdowns and different WR's. Brown and Long have both had decent and poor bits of practice. I saw good things from both. He was 1 on 1 vs Wootton. Anderson is a great ST player and has displayed very nice hands so far, so I concur.

Went to camp today...
1. Corey Wootton looked great. I would not be shocked if he has 10+ sacks this year. 2. Henry Melton looked great as well. 3. J'Marcus Webb is horrible. On the first 4 non-run plays in the 11-on-11 drills, he gave up 3 sacks. Like bowlingtwig said, this has to become a competition. Scott did fairly well last year. 4. Kyle Long is a freak. He's strong and exceptionally quick. Now the question is, can he block consistently? That wasn't the issue today, but it remains a question due to how raw he truly is still. 5. I know it's practice, but Bushrod looks damn good. I didn't even notice Peppers out there. 6. Alshon Jeffery went from 12% body fat to 8% and it shows. He's quicker. He got by Jennings and then past Conte for a long TD from Cutler. On the other side of the field, however, he and E.Bennett dropped 2 consecutive deep slant routes despite there being no defenders. 7. Trestman, Cavanaugh, Kromer, Groh and DeCamillis are constantly coaching. Today, Marquess Wilson made an acrobatic grab and Trestman sprinted over and gave him a pat on the ass. I hadn't seen that in awhile. Anyway, you can hear them yelling "fast" and "fast but in control" among other things.

Ellis retires
So much for Sedrick Ellis improving the DT depth. Today, he retired.
