Campbell signed
I think McCown would cost about $1.5m and he was solid last year.

Brandon Marshall is a Bear
With Jackson likely headed to Tampa, I can see San Diego drafting Michael Floyd at their pick to make up for that loss. As for the Bears pick, I still want Martin at 19. If he's not there, I suspect the Bears go Mercilus then. However, I wouldn't be surprised to see the Bears move down and take Hill, and in the process, picking up another 3rd. That's great. Nice find, man. I haven't heard that bit yet.

Do you have a link?

Wyche
I would actually hate Abraham because he's a situational guy who's old and doesn't show up in big games, but Nicks and/or Winston would be terrific.

Wyche
Steve Wyche on NFL Network keeps repeating that he believes the Bears will now focus on Abraham, Nicks and Winston.

Oops. You beat me to it.

Bears close to signing Jason Campbell, per Michael Lombardi.

Bears favorite for Mario
Michael Lombardi is reporting that Bills are the favorite right now for Mario and that the price might now be too high for the Bears. Bummer.

Bears favorite for Mario
Wimbley and Grubbs at 6m/year is entirely possible, but alright.

Brandon Marshall is a Bear
BTW, how do y'all like my new avatar? Wow, Mike Klis who writes for the Broncos is saying Bates/Cutler/Marshall threesome was 15-17 in Denver. Apparently he forgot how bad those defenses there were.

Bears favorite for Mario
Wimbley and Grubbs or Carr would be really nice.

Brandon Marshall is a Bear
The Bears should do everything in the power to sign Mario Williams now. I know Vaughn McClure tweeted he might be too expensive for the Bears now, but this is their chance to get a true #1 WR and another stud pass rusher. This way, they can go LT at pick #19. I agree with TD. Marshall is a more accomplished WR than Jackson who absolutely tore it up with Cutler. Look at his stats in Denver. I believe the one year with Cutler he had around 105 catches and around 1300 yards. While I do respect everyone's opinions, but I'd rather not have Carl Nicks. Paying an OG $8-10m/year isn't a recipe for success, and if they want an OG, go with Ben Grubbs who would only cost about $5-6m/year. I just talked to my source, and he said the Bears made this trade because they don't believe Vincent Jackson's asking price was fair. He told me to keep an eye out for Brandon Carr. I know Sean Jensen tweeted this last night, but the Bears might choose to go younger in the secondary with a really good CB in Carr, a guy who Emery knows from KC.

Brandon Marshall is a Bear
Nope. Bears have one pick in every round in 2012.
-
Brandon Marshall is a Bear
Bears give up a 2012 and 2013 3rd, so they still have a 3rd this year.

for two 3rd rounders. UNREAL!

The REAL cap space
Okoye sucks? Davis sucks? Steltz sucks on ST?

Bears re-sign CB Tim Jennings
It's crazy that he's only 1 of 2 CB's in the whole league to not have allowed a TD last year. Like terra said, he can hit pretty hard too. I just wish he could hang onto the ball. I counted 5 dropped picks last year from him.

V-Jack to Tampa
Bears4Ever- Where did you hear that Lovie/Peppers thing?
-
V-Jack to Tampa
I haven't heard that "Lovie/Pep in Texas to talk with Jackson and Williams" rumor. Where did you read that? Regardless that would be f***ing incredible.

If you had your choice
Wayne will go wherever Manning does, and Garcon might do the same. I wouldn't say getting Eddie Royal is "another opportunity" if they miss out on Williams and Jackson. Royal is not even in the same galaxy as those two guys in terms of the impact they'd have.
-
Colston Resigns
Winston was a RT with Houston. Agree though. They have to focus on Jackson and forget about Williams.
-
LB David Hawthorne
If his cap hit is $11m this year, the Bears can easily sign 2 other solid players worth about $4m/year.
-
Kameron Wimbley
No, Wimbley would primarily play DE in Chicago. BTW, Walter Football reported earlier that Wimbley is very close to being cut, so stay tuned there.

Barber gone?
I would guess it wouldn't be much, probably a little north of 1 million, but hell, any little bit can help. Also, someone mentioned Chris Polk. As a USC fan watching a lot of Pac-12 games, I don't like Polk too much. He was really impressive as a freshman but fell off as his career at Washington went on. It seems like his work ethic sucks, as IIRC his combine numbers weren't too good. The Bears need to be looking at a power back, similar to Barber, in rounds 3 or 4, like a lot of members here have pointed out. Vik Ballard from Mississippi State and Ryan Turbin from Utah State come to mind for me.
