Urlacher... second scope
Urlacher is such a talent that he'd be great in any scheme.

Urlacher... second scope
I'm on board this season. I think the assisting cast is what we need.

Both failed here, and only Angelo paid the price.

Bold Bears Predictions 2012
Oops! I'm not really good at stat predictions. I say if Url is healthy, we go 13-3, if not 10-6.

That would be more than acceptable...

Urlacher undergoes knee surgery
Indeed. If only Sayers and Butkus had today's technology to help them....

Urlacher undergoes knee surgery
My gut feeling is due to how the GB game is scheduled for the Thu right after opening Sunday...Url will miss game 1 and be ready for game 2.

Urlacher undergoes knee surgery
Looks to be what many of us suspected. And what we all hope...is that it doesn't keep him out long. Get better Url! We need ya!

Some injuries for Indy

Urlacher- espn- Now at 6 days without practice!!
We definitely need him. Regardless who we play. I think Indy is a win even w/o him. Luck is good, but so was Cam, and it took him a few games to actually win. The rest I agree with.

I think caution is the road they are going. We can function w/o Url for a few games. Long term will be more difficult.

I know it is early and only one preseason game
Great post jason. I truly respect your take... I'm seeing the same myself. I had no idea what we were getting, I was just hoping Emery struck silver... Gold would be amazing, but a silver guy would be a huge plus. As long as he's not foolsgold, we should be OK.

Seriously... Mayock is the only guy there that doesn't induce vomiting.

Notes and Observations from the Pre-Season Opener
Given what we've seen, I'd tend to agree as well. The Webb experiment looks done. Williams could be sufficient given the continued effort by Tice to put his guys in the best place to win and perform well. I think holding onto Webb as a swing guy is warranted.

Benson signs with the Pack
I'm not here to argue Grossman...I'm just saying Hester had a huge impact on that year and it wasn't all running, passing and D... He put special teams on the map as a legit force almost worthy of the O and D components of a game. Who on this board didn't think we'd win that damn SB after that return?

Smith saved his job at the cost of a healthy Url...

Any mix of LB's is not better w/o Url. I think the hope is that the guys filling in can do well enough and guys like Roach and Briggs step up ever moreso. Hopefully wait out the injury and welcome Url back for our playoff run.

Also, let's not forget Hester's impact on that season... He single-handedly won us a few games.

Denver @ Chicago, 8/9/11, Preseason Game Thread #1
Don't we all! I can't see it live, but I'll watch the replay I'm recording on the NFL network at midnight. What I'm looking for: 1. How Smack (ShaneMcClellin) looks 2. How Jeffrey looks 3. How does the 1st string OL look against some good pass rushers 4. How does Campbell look 5. How does Bush look 6. Does Rodriquez get any time. Other than that, I'm not worried about much at this point.
