Let's also not forget the accomplishments of Urlacher and Mike Brown. Guys he inherited and alone won games for us. He had a stacked D when he came to town. Some argue that Blache did a better job with his D... Back when we had big Ted and Traylor, Urlacher was a beast.
I think Smith's better than average. But not much more.
All settled!
If there ever was a lose-lose, win scenario...at least some charities got some loot!

Just a thought, but could a lot of Jay's turnovers be related to MB not being in the right place? Seems like the less he was relied on (injury, etc.), the less picks happened...
As Bill Murray said in Meatballs...it just doesn't matter.
He gone. Now what do we do?
I say we do everything (within reason) to retain Jeffrey. There's a big difference between being unhappy and being a problem. Sometimes money and a bit of reassurance can work magic...
Makes me feel glad Marshall missed the playoffs yet again...
But to the point, I say tag him for the next 2 years. We have the cap space. Try to find someone in FA or in the draft. Or a trade partner. And continue to work on him on a contract and see if he grows up.
This is just disappointing.
Here's hoping Kevin White kicks ass! But, we still need some complimentary help.
I'm not sure I completely buy it...
But, that said, with a full off-season, and potentially a move to left...given his work ethic and desire, he could make it happen and be excellent.
Can he go somewhere other than the 2 most evil franchises on earth?
How about Cincy? Maybe Arizona? Anywhere but those 2! I love Forte too much to see him turn to the dark side...
Many have said it already...
I think I just want BPA wherever we pick. We have so many needs still. OL, DL, LB, CB, S, TE, QB, even WR...about the only slot we do not need is RB. We can use a K and P, but not until the very late rounds.
