Cheers! Happy pop's day everyone!

One solution... Have the Super Bowl winner be on it. They just won it all, so they can deal with the distraction.

I guess stats don't mean much to me. Other than the win/loss column. To me, the champ QB's make big plays when they are needed. That's what I want from Cutler. Not fantasy stats... We've seen some, and seen him miss more. The table is simply set for him to make the most of it. All we can do now is watch and root. No lustre wears off for me until we've been eliminated from the playoffs...andmuch will depned on how.

Just heard on the radio...

Top 5 is tough... Let's look at it. In no real particular order for the 5... 1. Peyton Manning (HoF'er...better than Cutler, argument if best ever) 2. Brady (HoF'er...better than Cutler, argument if best ever) 3. Brees (HoF'er...better than Cutler) 4. Rodgers (more than likely HoF'er...better than Cutler) 5. Others like Luck (looks like a HoF'er already), Roethlisberger (not a fan, but he's won big games), Wilson (too much upside), Kaepernick (If he improves, he has crazy upside), Romo (the guy is always a beat away from being great), and Ryan (seems to have all the tools) So, really to say Cutty needs to be top 5 isn't really necessary. I think he just needs to be top 10. Better than most. Top 1/3. And I could care less if he's 32nd as long as he gets us the SB win!

It's easy to be negative. Detractors can easily say the following (which is basically what you said): Cutler sucks Cutler can't stay healthy Cutler has a bad attitude The D is still horrible Tucker is awful They should have kept McCown Marshall is getting old etc... Barring the Jordan Bulls teams after the first championship, there are no sure things in sports. There is not one single team that doens't have a pitfall. Especially injury. At minimum, I think we have a puncher's chance at going the distance. At Maximum, we could light things up and mimic the Vermeil's Rams to get the title. (Super O, decent D) It simply boils down to whether we will be able to make some key plays during key points during key games. I think this team can, and believe it will. However, until we do, our detractors will have anough ammo to poo-poo everything.

Good observation. I also noticed a bit of that trend of good PR once Emery was hired. There seems to be a greater effort to bridge the gap between the team and fans. The coaches, players, and management all give us the time of day. In addition, they seem to be throwing the nostalia buffs a bone by inviting former players to camp, etc. Yes, every year we get the cororate BS in some way or fashion. This year does seem different. Count me in...I'm amped! This team right now is good, dangerous, and fan friendly. I like it. A lot.

Good thing we have more options. Methinks we may not be done looking at back-ups if Palmer sees a lot of bench. Seems to me, Palmer's poised to be more of a coach than a player at this point...

I believe you are preaching to the converted...

Always good to see you in the mix! You are very correct about the dead time...when there's nothing, folks make mountains out of mole-hills...

Yeah. Hope is that every guy in camp is a diamond int he rough. But, odds are is that he's simple camp fodder.
-
No. All it's saying is we have a tiny investment in throwing another dart at the board...
-
Oh Yeah. I'll adjust in the edit Thanks

Work and $ permitting, I'd fly from LA to check it. Unless it was in LA as well...or maybe both.

QB - Jim MCMahon (when healthy, he just had the moxie of a winner) RB - Walter (need I say more?) FB - Nagurski WR1 - Marshall WR2 - Jeffery (limited work so far, but I think he's the real deal) WR3 - Gault (I want a field stretcher) TE - Ditka (tough as nails) LT - Covert LG - George Connor C - Bulldog Turner RG - Stan Jones RT - Van Horne DE1 - Dent DE2 - Doug Atkins DT1 -Hampton DT2 - McMicheal OLB1 - Wilbur Marshall OLB2 - Urlacher (I think he can play this position...) MLB - Dick Butkus CB1 - Tillman CB2 - Les Frazier S1 - Fencik S2 - Mike Brown K - Gould (love But-head, but gotta go Gould) P - Maury Buford. Just because his name sounds funny. I'm actually hoping is O'Donnell... KR/PR - Sayers (couldn't beat out Wally for RB, and I'd just rather have him as an extra roster spot than Hester.)

Since lemon and a few others already started off on the conversation in other thread, I figured, why not go all in... Who is on your all-time Bears team? This assume that the guys are at their peak form while on the Bears and playing right now. Here's the list you can copy/paste: ************************************ QB - RB - FB - WR1 - WR2 - WR3 - TE - LT - LG - C - RG - RT - DE1 - DE2 - DT1 - DT2 - OLB1 - OLB2 - MLB - CB1 - CB2 - S1 - S2 - K - P - KR/PR - ************************** I'll reply for my picks.

Agreed. Jennings just want to be a solid contributor to this year's Super Bowl winning team...
-
Agreed!

What? No Nagurski?
