  1. I have no issue with his comments what-so-ever.
  2. Seriously! You can almost go favorite by era...almost!
  3. Current: Brandon Marshall. While Tillman is a close second...everything that Marshall has brought since coming here simply has me feeling good. All Time: Can't help it. Butkus.
  4. Agreed! Have a good time, all the time!
  5. And the back & forth goes on... http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/...r-from-cowboys/ Report: “Not much” interest in Urlacher from Cowboys Posted by Darin Gantt on June 2, 2014, 10:27 AM EDT 610x350-u-turn-change-direction-arrow-sign Nearly as soon as we passed along the report of Ed Werder of ESPN that the Cowboys were considering Brian Urlacher, the reactions began suggesting that it was extremely unlike to happen. The latest of those dispatches comes from Werder himself, who said a team source told him they had “not much” interest in the former Bears linebacker. (As a side note, we’ve documented ESPN-on-ESPN crime here before, but this might be the first time with the plaintiff and the defense are the same person.) The reality is, names such as Urlacher and Vilma sound good, but are better in theory than reality. There’s a reason no one signed Urlacher a year ago, and the Cowboys are admitting that they’re looking for a two-down platoon player. As tempting as the name might be, it appears unlikely that it will happen. Unless Werder comes back later today and says it will.
  6. I too loved the pubs when I was over there for a month. I had a number of 2 pint lunches! It was a fun time to be there.
  7. Must be why I'm always finishing last! I want to try to emulate Pixote. I have had the upmost respect for him since day 1. And I look at him as a shining example of how a Bears fan goes about dicussing his passion. But to me, he's like Payton. I can never achieve that. But I will try. And if I can make the special teams, then that will have to work for me... But I don't want everyone to be that. People need to be themselves. That's me, so that what I try for. I love our differences. It's what makes this world great. Of course other than loving the Bears, it gets scary when vast amounts of people start agreeing with one another!
  8. I commend your efforts. However language really is a 2 way street. As much as one should take heed to what they say, how they say it and where they say it...listeners must take heed that sometimes things may be said that they could find offense to and simply carry on. I feel this board is like going to a real game. For the most part, we have mostly adults (in age, sometimes not so much in wisdom...). So the beer flows, the volume gets loud, and sometimes some language pops out. Yup. There are probably some ladies and kids that may not be thrilled with a couple of words, but for the most part it's harmless fun. It's only when the bad language flows heavily where people really get turned away. Also, when pushing and shoving (name calling) happens. Those isntances tend to offend the most people. Some of those folks simply leave. (Or call security). As a long-time poster here. I really try not to make any personal attacks and to keep the language chill. When I swear, I try to put in symbols, so that adults can easily tell what I wrote, but maybe a kid won't. Or at least, they see I'm attempting some semblance of restraint...like f&$k. But with that said, that's me. I sure as hope and am glad that everyone doesn't go about like me. It'd be too damn boring! So in a nutshell, I think some effort should be made to self-monitor one's language and personal attacks. But also, some effort should be made for others not to take that language or insults personally....and for the most part, I think that's already happening. We all here do a pretty good job of self-policing. And there is a healthy amount of letting something play out a bit... But when a push comes to shove, we're all just one happy dysfunctional family! And I for one, like going to the family dinners to see the fireworks!
  9. Don't stay away long... It'll be fun talking about this years' run to re-obtaining the championship!
  10. Love Jura! Also really into Oban... But my favaorites are all Islays! I'm all about the smoke and brine!
  11. Gotcha. I'm actually much more of a Scotch drinker these days. I'm all in on Lagvullin and Laphroaig. I do love a Dalmore. Really excellent with a fine cigar. Cheers!
  12. What's your poison of preference? I sepnt a month in London for work and came to be fall for Fuller's ESB...
  13. ...and BrianBear as well...
  14. Agreed. Before the draft...definitley consider. Now, I don't think so. But the devil is in the details. If the offer were simply too good...sure it's worth looking at.
  15. F off! The Kool-aid is tasty! This current distiller's expession is so much better than the last distiller's version!
  16. Agreed. I love what jason brings to the plate. I disagree a lot, but it's usually well reasoned. He's opinionated, and his passion makes the debate fun. Sometimes it gets out of hand a bit, but I just look at is us boys being boys...and in the end, we man up and let it go and move forward. Our similarities brought us here...our differences keep us here.
  17. Is that true? Can you cite your source?
  18. There's a fine line between an excuse and a reason. Excuse is simply a rationalization for something that would have happened anyway. A reason is evidence why something did or did not happen. I choose to believe it's a reason, not an excuse.
  19. Amazing what a difference not running for your life does. And having a great teacher. Tacking in better WR's on top of that and you have an amazing trifecta of positives to help bring Cutler to the next level. Better OL, better WR's and better coaching is a good thing.
  20. Yes. In spot performance you are correct. Like myslef, it would appear Emery and Trestman felt that that small window of excellence wasn't enough to bet the farm on.
  21. Good point. McCown did more than a bag up job spelling Cutty. For that, I am appreciative.
  22. Not really sure of your point Alaska... For me it's simple. I like Cutler over McCown any day. And Culer has my 100% full support.
  23. Yes, Cutler hasn't gone to the next level yet. Everything is in place for him to do so. McCown wasn't taking us to the promised land. Cutler might not. But, the odds of him doing it are better. And I believe he will. The run to the top starts this season. It may not hit the pinnacle this season, but it starts. The foundation will be laid. I simply believe it.
