I'm starting to think I like Jason Licht as a better option for the GM position then Emery.

olsen says no to bears and goes to jags
Once the Bears get done with their temper tantrum I bet they contact Jeremy Bates again. It's getting kind of embarrassing I would think.

Tice will tailor offense to strengths....
Yes they will be. I read another article where Tice stated that when the defense is stacked to stop the run, Cutler will be able to audible out of it instead of trying to force the play as was the case in the Martz system.

Another little tidbit from the Chicago Tribune: Extra points: Cal receiver Marvin Jones, listed at 6-foot-3, 202 pounds, had a Monday meeting with the Bears. ... Lovie Smith was not scheduled to attend this year's Senior Bowl.

Marc Ross won't be brought back for 2nd interview
Bears | Three ruled out in GM search Mon, 23 Jan 2012 15:28:32 -0800 San Diego Chargers director of player personnel Jimmy Raye, New York Giants college scouting director Marc Ross and Chicago Bears interim general manager Tim Ruskell are no longer in contention for the Bears general manager position. List down to two. At least Tim Ruskell isn't going to be the GM!!!!!

Dirk Koetter off the list...
Per Tribune Dirk is gone. Looks like the Bears may have to change their minds about Jeremy Bates, if he would even consider the position now.

Bears will interview 4 candidates
"Emery is a known commodity at Halas Hall. He joined the team as an area scout when Mark Hatley was in charge of personnel and covered the Southeast from 1998-2004. He was the scout who endorsed Rex Grossman as a first-round draft pick in 2003." per tribune That makes me a little nervous but maybe he learned his lesson.
