  1. Yes, I must admit I'm not 100% Caleb. Something tells me there is a hidden gem in this quarterback class. Yes, Caleb has awesome talents, but his shit stinks just like the others. If we draft Caleb, can we give him the support needed with such little draft capital? OR, would it be better to draft a player whose ceiling might be less lofty (at #2?), but because we got a huge haul of picks in the trade down from 1 to 2 (as an example), we would be able to solidify the OL with a top OC, add a WR to field with DJ & KA, a top Edge and a 3T (all within the first 3 rds) and still have an additional 2025 1st (or more) from the trade left over for next year. I have softened some on Maye, like Daniels a lot, but now I am beginning to look more at the kid from Michigan. For some weird reason, I am getting a bit concerned about putting a rookie quarterback on the field without a fully loaded lineup. We've seen how that works time and time again. And don't doubt it for one minute: despite many of us advocating sitting a rookie quarterback for the start of the season, teams nowadays seem to rush their rookie quarterback onto the field. Yes, Mahomes sat. Rodgers sat. Love sat (jury still out on him!) But will the Bears sit a rookie QB or throw him into action day one? If we are going to drop the kid into action right away, I want him to have a fully loaded squad, offense, and defense from day one.
  2. I totally agree. Every player who accepts an invitation to the combine should agree to a complete medical evaluation. No medical evaluation, then leave. (If for no other reason than the liability of having a player participate in the combine with a medical condition that could compromise his well-being.)

Yes, I was just curious about the shoes. I had never seen running shoes with those types of soles. Then, as usual, things get out of hand. Now we can see why we have lost so many posters.

Whatever turns you on, sweetie. ? What color do you paint your nails, or do you use clear polish? ? Sorry, on a serious note. I prefer my dress to be navy blue with orange highlights. Red makes me look too fat! If we shorten the dress, I can go commando and flash the grannies in the park! I might get lucky! ?

Notice the shoes? I was going to say something the other day when this picture was posted, but God forbid I be accused of flaming. I am no expert on shoe trends, but are these designed for the vertically challenged? To me, it looked like the heels were built-in lifts. I never recall seeing a tennis shoe with a sole like that before.

I believe Mitch is back in Buffalo. Then I had some coffee. ? OK, Gotcha. Just woke up. Slow this morning. LOL
  7. Personally, I hope Poles resist the temptation to use future draft picks to move up. It's this use of future draft capital that has us sitting with what? 4 picks vs Detroit's 11 ? Put the Draft CC away.
  8. It's a message to all players on our roster. Be a Bear. Support your community. Support your teammates on the field and in the locker room. Work hard, give us 100%. (Justin did all of this!) If you succeed, we will reward you with an extension. (See Kmet & JJ) If it doesn't work out after giving us your best, we will do right by you. (Justin) That doesn't mean we can offer you an extension or pay you above market value. As a player you understand this is a business. However, if we have to part ways, we'll do all we can to make sure you land on your feet and are in a good situation that will offer you a chance to start over and continue to strive to be your best. Poles did what he thought was needed to give Justin a chance to succeed going forward. We don't know what he was offered for Justin by other teams or if there were any offers given. But I assure you, I do know that Poles gained the respect of the locker room by handling a very difficult situation in a dignified manner. BTW, You do know that if we draft Caleb, Poles will probably hug him!
  9. I could certainly see why Justin wouldn't want to hold the clipboard for Hurts. He'd maybe get one or two starts a year due to Hurts being injured. As far as Detroit, HELL NO, Poles don't want him in our division because, quite frankly, JF1 will eventually figure it all out and be an upper-echelon quarterback.
  10. Gosh, I'm at a loss for words. Warner, who's judgement I value highly, says Daniels is a great prospect. Mentioned how he could be just as successful as the last Heisman Trophy winner from LSU drafted, Joe Burrow. But, OMG, he doesn't turn his head! I just don't know what to think!
  11. I love it! I posted this link before, not sure if anyone checked it out as there was no response. I love the QB analysis series by Kurt Warner. He does an awesome review of prospects. He is very high on J Daniels. He points out that the last QB taken from LSU, who was also a Heisman Trophy winner, was Joe Burrows. He thinks Daniels could be every bit as successful. He also states that a few NFL Execs have Daniels rated above C Williams! A trade down to #2 with the draft picks gained from your proposed trade would allow us to draft Daniels at #2 and then finish the offseason goals to strengthen all of our weaknesses identified last year. We could get our WR with pick 9 if one of the top 3 is there. We could get our Center, Edge, and DT taken care of. Check out the link. The video is less than 5 minutes, so it's well worth the time! 12. I'm also guilty. I made a post that was not "kid-friendly," which ignited his response. My apologies to everyone who I may have offended.
  13. I think the problem was not so much the opinions of other GMs about Justin as the unusually large number of quality quarterback options available this offseason, many of which are obtainable without giving up draft capital. I'm not sure I ever remember so many quarterbacks moving to new clubs or, at the last minute, resigning with their team. Supply and demand. Although there was a huge demand, there were too many options available to fill the demands.
  14. We almost always get fleeced on trades. The worse was when we got a 3rd round pick for future HOF Greg Olsen. This one is a close 2nd. We got garbage. Should have kept him and gambled on a better trade in future.
  15. I see your point. He should have been motivated. Let's hope we have a round 2 selection to begin with. LOL
  16. If SearSTower has an inside source, we'll soon know who it is when Warren announces the Bears have fired and replaced 'the source.' If he is just jacking us around to get likes and followers, screw him and his momma.
  17. If he has motivation & self-pride, the Bears trainer & dietician will get him in condition to be a 3 or 4 down 3T,

    Free Agency 2024

Because they are in our division, they'd have to pay a premium. 11 & 23 from this years 1st rd PLUS, a minimum of a 1st in 2025 and a 2nd in 2026. Otherwise, screw them. Sorry, no love loss for the Vikes.
  19. What you smoking, man? They'd never accept that deal unless we included V. Jones in the package. ?
  20. After watching this video, I wouldn't mind seeing Jayden Daniels in a Bears Uniform. Very impressive. Warner commented on how he understands why some execs consider him the #1 QB prospect. Kurt's QB Insider: Jayden Daniels' strengths and weaknesses
  21. I'd love to see Scott turn it around this year. Most of us had high expectations for his rookie season. For whatever reason, he struggled. I am hoping that with the rookie year behind him and with the addition of KA, he can become a productive WR for us.
  22. One of the reasons for this is the fantastic trade he crafted with Carolina last year. Will the enormous success of that trade influence him to repeat trading #1? Or does he cash out, accepting his bounty without going for the gold via trade 2.0?
  23. I like Allen, but his age is a concern, and giving up another draft pick, cripes. If this keeps up, we won't need to turn in to see the Bears draft; we won't have any picks after the first round (unless his tossing picks around so freely indicates his possible trade of our first-round picks).
